Day 1: Argentina Vacations, starts in Buenos Aires

Welcome to Argentina!

Capital of Argentina and described as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires proudly embraces this title, as well as shows off plenty of its own culture! Explore the traditional European architecture, the cobbled streets lined with rustic outdoor cafes, the local antique and artisanal markets that offer plenty of bargain shopping, and the mouthwatering aroma of prized Argentine beef sizzling on an open “parrrilla” (barbeque) in the air. Buenos Aires is home to some excellent local designers and you will certainly find the perfect leather jacket, long leather boots and handbags for all occasions. Though above all, Buenos Aires is known as the home of the tango. Be sure to enjoy a traditional dinner-tango show and explore the colorful San Telmo and Recoleta neighborhoods.

Upon arrival in Buenos Aires you will be met at the airport and have a transfer in private to your hotel.

You will have the rest of the day to enjoy this vibrant city, leaving you the remainder of the day to explore the historic neighborhoods and enjoy the cafe culture of Buenos Aires.

Day 2: Buenos Aires City Tour & Tango Show

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel to enjoy our City Tour.

Over the course of a half day you will have the chance to visit the historical and political centre of the city; San Telmo with its cobblestone streets, La Boca where Buenos Aires turns colorful and tango is ever present, and the chic and aristocratic Recoleta, where the big palaces remind us that Buenos Aires was once the París of the South.

Duration: 4-5 hours

In the evening you will be picked up from your hotel to be driven to one of Buenos Aires’ most emblematic cultural highlight’s; a Dinner and Tango Show offering a spectacular demonstration of the finest local dancing accompanied by delicious Argentine cuisine and all the malbec you’d like.

At the end of the evening you will be driven back to your hotel

Total duration (dinner + show) 4 hours

Day 3: From Buenos Aires to Bariloche

At appropriate time, you will be picked up at your hotel and driven (private service) to the domestic airport for your flight to Bariloche.

If the sky is clear, on landing, you will get to see the contrast of blue Nahuel Huapi lake, white peaks of the Andes and the green of the forest.

Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel (shared service) and have the afternoon at leisure.

Day 4:  Bariloche Tours: History and Nature

Today you will start enjoying the highlights of the Lake District.

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel (shared service) to go along the highlights circuit of San Carlos de Bariloche.

During approx. 5 hours, and accompanied by a guide, you will visit important viewpoints, like Cerro Campanario (“Campanario Hill”)- considered by the National Geographic as the 8th best view of the world.

When lunch time is getting closer, you´ll be provided with a home-made lunch box, in order to get the energy to continue enjoying!

Finally, you will do a nature oriented walk through the impressive native forest on the Llao-llao Nature Park.

The excursion ends by visiting a traditional Microbrewery, before driving you back to your hotel.

Day 5: Bariloche Tours: Brazo Tristeza Boat Trip

Today you will enjoy a different way to explore Nahuel Huapi Lake.

While most boat trips run in enormous boats with hundreds of people, you will have the chance to experience it in a small and exclusive cruise.

Day 6:  From Bariloche to El Calafate, Patagonia Adventure

Welcome to Southern Patagonia!

El Calafate is located in the Patagonian steppe, dry and dramatic.

It is on the border of Lago Argentino (Argentina’s biggest lake), considered capital of the glaciers. It is the gate to visit world wide known Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the only glaciers in the world that is still advancing.

Day 7: El Calafate: Perito Moreno Glacier Tour

After an early breakfast, you will leave on a full day excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier (shared service), in Los Glaciers National Park. A UNESCO World Heritage site since 1981 and home to one of the most awe inspiring landscapes in Argentina; Perito Moreno Glacier is a site to behold.

During about 1 hour a bilingual guide will provide you with all the information you might want to know, and things you might have never thought about.

On arrival you will have the chance to enjoy stunning views of the glacier from the nearby walking trail and viewing platforms.

But not just that, you will also enjoy the included Perito Moreno Glacier boat cruise that will take you close enough to fully appreciate the 80m high ice walls! In the early evening, you will return to you hotel in Calafate.

Day 8: Patagonia Hiking: From El Calafate to El Chalten

In the morning you will take a comfortable public bus, where for during about 3 hours you will be able to enjoy the desert of Southern Patagonia on the famous Route 40. You will pass through La Leona river, that connects Lake Argentino and Lake Viedma.

By the river you will see La Leona Road House where once Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid after robbing a bank where hidden for almost a month.

Usually on arrival to El Chalten, the bus stops 15 minutes at the Park Ranger office to give you general explanations about the park, recommendations, etc. They are very informative and enthusiastic to share their love for the Park.

El Chalten is the top rated trekking destination, the Argentinean capital of trekking. Located at the foot of the Fitz Roy Mountain, surrounded by glaciers, lakes, rivers and forest, it is still a hidden gem of our south. The charming little village, that is also the start point for most paths, is a paradise for walkers and trekkers alike.

On arrival you can explore the surroundings, have a stroll around a little waterfall, or just relax in the local brewery.

Day 9: Trekking in El Chalten- Mountains and Lakes- Self Guided

Be prepared for an exciting day in the wild Nature. El Chalten offers a range of options for all kind of difficulty of trekking.

From the door of your hotel, you can go for a short 3 K walk, with views of the Rio de las Vueltas, lenga forest and the chance to see all kind of birds (great woodpecker spotting opportunity).

If you are looking for great mountain views, in one hour and a half you can be at the Cerro Torre view point.

For trekking fans, continue all the way to Torre base or go for the 8 hours trekking for the most impressive view of Fitz Roy and the whole massif by Laguna de los tres path (Highly recommended!!). This is a trek that becomes difficult in the last bit but totally worth the effort.

You can choose where and when to go, and at your own pace, since the paths are self-guided and very well marked and maintained.

We will provide you with complete trekking information of the park, so that you can decide the best plan to make the best of your day.

Day 10: From El Chalten back to El Calafate

This morning you can choose any other trek from a great variety that this National Park offers. Bare in mind that in the afternoon you will board your bus back to El Calafate

The three hours driving back will be a good opportunity to rest enjoying the views from your window.

Day 11: Visit Torres del Paine, Chile

In the early morning you will be picked up for the full day excursion to Torres del Paine National Park..

Along the road you might be able to see rheas, guanacos, Patagonian hare, and even condors.

After crossing the Patagonian steppe from North to South, you will arrive at the border post “Cancha Carrera” after a 2,5 hs trip. There, you will start to travel through the beautiful South Chile until you arrive at the “Torres del Paine” National Park (“Blue Towers” in the Tehuelche language, due to the predominant color).

Keep an eye out for wild guanacos as they roam the windy plains.

It is a long day, but we belive it deserves every hour. Some of the wonders of the world renowned park that you will visit will be Salto Grande, Laguna Amarga, Lago Pehoe, the Cuernos del Paine and of course, the famous Torres del Paine.

In the evening you’ll be dropped off at your hotel to stay the night inside the park.

Day 12: Torres del Paine National Park– Self Guided

Torres del Paine is one of the most beautiful protected areas of South America, and for sure the best way to explore it is by foot.

If you like hiking and nature, this should be one of the highlights of your trip.

From owls to deers, from condors to guanacos, from orchids to blueberries, with the back of the impressive granite massif, this magnificent place is breathtaking.

Some of the trekking options include the full day to the base of the magnificent Torres del Paine, ideal for trekkers, the intense blue of the Grey Glaciar or the unforgettable view of the French Valley.

Day 13: From Torres del Paine to Punta Arenas, a true Patagonia Adventure!

t an appropriate time a shuttle will take you from your hotel to Punta Arenas (shared service, approximately 4 ½ hours).

The Chilean southernmost city, it was once a wealthy, aristocratic and European style place. Before the Panama Canal opened, this was the most important stop before or after crossing the Magallean straight. You can see the remains of that in the local cemetery, with its impressive mausoleums and in the architecture of the oldest areas. Stroll around to discover the old mansions and a character filled place in the extreme south Patagonia- where now more sheep than people live..

Day 14: Travel to Ushuaia, the end of the world!

In the early morning, you will have to take a taxi to the bus station to embark on a full day bus trip to Ushuaia, passing through some of Patagonia’s most stunning scenery. Cross the mystical Strait of Magellan before arriving at Tierra del Fuego Island. After crossing the border between Argentina & Chile, the bus will keep on driving south, until it finally arrives to Ushuaia, known as the City of the End of the World.

This beautiful city is surrounded by mountains and facing the Beagle Chanel.

Day 15: Ushuaia: Trekking & Canoeing in the National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel and drive towards Tierra del Fuego National Park. Once at Ensenada Bay, you will have time to enjoy the view over the Beagle Channel before starting the trekking along the coast.

These six kilometers of wild trail will give you the possibility to watch the native flora and wild fauna of the channel as well as the opportunity to discover old native remains left by the ancient dwellers of the area, the Yamanas. In 3 hours you will reach Roca Lake where lunch will be ready. After a complete homemade picnic you will start canoeing along Lapataia river, which will take you to Lapataia Bay on the Beagle Channel, precisely where the Panamerican Highway and number 3 National Route ends. Return to Ushuaia.

Day 16: Beagle Channel Cruise & Leaving to Puerto Madryn

After making your way to the tourist pier, embark on a boat excursion along the famous Beagle Channel. You will gain panoramas of Ushuaia Bay and see the diverse marine wildlife, such as cormorants and fur seals, on De los Lobos and De los Pajaros Islands. On one of the Bridges Isles, you can explore the island for concheros, or giant shells, and enjoy the views of Chile and Argentina. Not to mention, passing the Les Eclaireurs lighthouse. During the excursion, you can enjoy snacks and the favorite Argentine drink, mate.

At the appropriate time you will be taken to the domestic airport for your flight to Trelew ( 67 km south of Puerto Madryn ).

Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel in Puerto Madryn.

Day 17: Puerto Madryn Tours: Peninsula Valdes Whale Watching

After breakfast you will be led on a full day's tour of the Valdes Peninsula. To enter this UNESCO World Heritage site, you will cross an incredibly narrow strip of land with sea on both sides. Further along you will arrive at Caleta Valdes, a large natural creek that is home to a colony of sea elephants. After admiring Caleta Valdes you'll continue along the road as it drops suddenly down into a crescent of golden cliffs overlooking a bright blue bay and the small village of Puerto Piramides. Here herds of southern right whales tend to arrive in June.

You will take a boat trip around the Golfo Nuevo bay and watch these immense creatures gliding past. The peninsula navigation allows you to get unusually close to the whales. You will even get wet if they jump!

Day 18: Puerto Madryn Tours: Penguins in Punta Tombo

Today you will leave Puerto Madryn and drive 120km south to visit the largest colony of Magellan penguins in South America.

The colony's population reaches over half a million birds during the peak season, and the best time to visit is between October and April. One of the greatest features of this reserve is the fact that you can literally walk among the penguins and observe their habits.

You'll have the opportunity to see how they feed their babies, defend their territory, build their nests, and of course watch their characteristic comedic waddle in and out of the sea. You will then return to your hotel in Puerto Madryn just in time to enjoy the sunset.

Day 19: From Puerto Madryn, back to Buenos Aires

At the appropriate time you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport to take your flight to Buenos Aires.

Upon arrival you will have a private transfer to the hotel, leaving you the rest of the day to enjoy the city.

Day 20: From Buenos Aires, travel to Iguazu Falls

At appropriate time, you will have a private transfer (private service) to the domestic airport to take your flight to Puerto Iguazu.

The little and relaxing town is the gate to visit the impressive Iguazu Falls, (which have been recently declared as one of the New Seven Natural Wonders!), making them a must see destination for any traveler visiting Argentina

Day 21: Iguazu Falls Tours: Argentine Side

After breakfast you will depart on a private, full day tour to the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls where you will have intimate views of this unforgettable section of the Iguazu River. An experienced guide will show you the hidden gems of this unique National Park and will take you off the beaten path to show you the best views.

Lower and upper walkways permit up close and personal experiences with this magnificent spectacle of nature. Trails through the 210 square mile reserve provide visitors with various views of the Falls, especially the largest one, Devil's Throat. The ecological train ride is included in the tour. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.

This day will be a real adventure, full of thrills and spills, and is an absolute must for the adventurer at heart.

Day 22: Iguazu Falls Tours: Brazilian Side & return to Buenos Aires

After breakfast, enjoy a private, half day excursion to the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls where you will enjoy vast panoramic views of the Falls allowing you to take them in their entirety.

At the appropriate time in the afternoon you will have a private transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires.

Day 23: Buenos Aires

Day at leisure to explore the cobbled, tree lined streets of Palermo Soho in search of one of a kind Porteño fashion, to sit in café and enjoy a perfectly aged glass of malbec, or perhaps to sip yerba mate (local tea) out of your newly purchased mate gourd while people watching in one of the parks that make up the Palermo Bosques.

Day 24: Buenos Aires - End of your Adventure in Argentina

At the appropriate time you will have a private transfer to the international airport for your flight back home.

First of all i would like to thank you and your team for arranging a great Patagonian trip for us!

We really appreciated that there was always someone from Say Huegue to meet us at each section of the journey. We felt comfortable in a foreign counry thanks to your hospitality! It was nice to receive letters from our representative in Iguazu and always receiving solicitous letters from Caroline !!

To start with my review i would divide the trip into 4 categories: sights , excursion ( guides), hotel, transfer
Our journey with Say Heuque in Argentina was started from Buenos Aires. In the early morning our guide was waiting for us on time! The weather that day could be better so the significant part of the excursion we stayed in the auto. The russian quide ( Alexander ) was nice and he was really upset that we could not have even a little walk because of the strong rain. As for his professional knowledge as a tour guide i could not say that he was very informative and interesting.
To run a few steps forward i would say that all ""russian guides ' that we had during our trip were very weak, i could conclude that they are not really guides or experts in their sphere, i would call them attendant rather than a guide ( especially in El Calafate). It must be admitted that we felt a lack of information, we would like to absorb more history about Argentina or the region, more nature description , more interesting facts and etc ( as usually supply professional guides). As for Alexander we could give him 6 points out of 10 - and it is the best guides score in our rating ..
As a conclusion for Buenos Aires section we rank the following way ( 10 score system)
The sights of Buenos Aires - 10
The guide asstance - 6
The transfer and the hotel in BA were not with S/H

The next day we flew to El Calafate.
The transfer assistance was good. The hotel was good despite of the fact that it was stated as 4* star hotel but according to European standards i would say that it was firm 3*. But it was nice and original.
We had an excursion to Perito Moreno with minitrekking. it was fantastic!!! ! Especially we loved minitrekking it gave us a chance to touch this increadible nature creation!! I would recommend to the travellers to include minitrekking as an obligatory part of their program! it was the most marvelous part of our trip, we were really impressed! Even now looking at our pictures we could not believe that we were there and saw those beauties with our own eyes!
As for the guide service it was really the wost guide we had, his name was Nazar ( ex russian), his activity as a tour guide was reduced to zero, practically no information, he knew our schedule and was ready to give information about time and distance ( that was all that he knew) , he gave us very poor information about the region, the way back from the Glacier to Calafate he was sleeping :)/
our rating in El Calafate ( 10 score system)
Perito Moreno - 12! :))
Excursion guide - 2
transfer - 10
Hotel - 9

Than we continued our trip to Torres del PAine, Chile.
Our driver was also a guide, he was local, he knew the route and showed us the places we had asked to see, we interviewed him , we posed a lot of questions concernig political and economical situation in both countries, may be he knew a lot, but it was not an excursion :), if we do not ask him, he do not tell anything. As far as i remember according to our programm it should have been a professional guide additional to the driver..
We stayed in Torres del Paine Hotel for 2 nights, and as i checked a lot of time before we have confirmed our programm, i expected lower level of the hotel but in fact it was nice and cosy).
The most incredible part of our journey in Chile of course was trekking to the Base of Torres!!!!! and it is not because of the beauties that we saw during the whole trekking, but becuase it was difficult but we did it!! I could not write you every details that happened to us, but i could say that was a real adventure as we read in the books when we were small. We made the part of the trekking dy horses ( 2 hours 1 way) and the rest of the part on foot. It was raining the whole day and it was windy, we were wet ( we had special clothes)/. To tell you the truth i thought once to stop and to leave the trekking but my husband persuaded me to continue, not all the group reached the Base ( 2 people failed to go to the distance).
The goup had two guides provided by the hotel and they were perfect, they were as theu should be - strong, attentive, professionals. The way bag was really difficult because the path over the precipice was blurred by the constant rain and we must be carefull with the horses because it had no right to stumble...But the emotions when we reached the hotel were fantastic.

We continue to travel to Punta Arenas.
we had private transfer with a guide ( also 6 out of 10 point, the same problem as all of them).
Accorning to pour programm we had an excursion to Ottaway pinguin Colony.......I could not describe how we were dissappointed.... the biggest and the onle one dissappointment of the whole travel.
On the way to Punta Arenas from Torres, the driver made a small deviation from the rout ( 45 min.) we found ourselves on a sea shore.. It was 1 p.m/ and the quide gave us a notice that probably you would not see pinguins becuase they had gone to the sea and be back at Could you imagine your astonishment and dissappointmet when you bought a ticket to the Picture Galley and when enterinr the first hall discovered that all the pictures are on the construction and out of the museum!!!!! We saw 10 pinguines on a sae shore far away from us and that was all that we saw!!!!!! I could not call this 10 pinguins - a COLONY, and the agent who sold us this excursion 9 whom you probably contact should have known it . We were also surprised by the fact that we have paid 130 USD each plus entrance ( 4 people = 600 usd) for small deviation from the route with no pinguins......disaster
In our programm we had a boat trip from unta Varas to Bariloche, it was nice route, especially the first part till Puelche, and after we felt a little bit exhuasted as we were tired becuase of a lot of tansport changes , if i had a secong chance i would have ordered only one part of this route , as the lanscape was approximately the same the whole trip.
In Iguazu we had a guide that met us in the airport, he was ex russian ( ukraine), the way of his behaviour was not nice, it is difficult to explain what was wrong with him, he put himself in a rang above the others , his last quiestion - ""what kind of business do you have?"" was the end of our forbearance :)). At the hotel we were given the letter from our host from SayH it was nice we called him but it was sunday evening... and i called to your 24 hour service, the girls i was speaking to was fantastically nice and she managed to find for us a new guide for the next early morning excusrion, it was really luck we would like to express our deep thanks to that lady on the phone (unfortunatelly i do not remeber her name(, she really saved us!!
Iguazu Brasilian part - 10
Argentinian part - 9
Hotel - 8
transfer - 10 very very goog work!! we changed transport 6 or 7 times and it was perfect every time.

I send you so long letter only becuase i suppose that my comments would help future travellers and also because we appreciate very very much your work and the way you treat the travellers, your hospitality and attantion to a details. We have travel experience for 15 years and i do not know any anothe company that could organise our trip better than you . I was lucky to find you in the Internet among this big range of companies willing to attract tourists but without a knowledge how to do supply the service.
I would like to thank your direction who supervise your routine work . I will do all my best to persuade our friends to apply to your company if they decide to go to that part of the world becuase you deserve more customers.

Really enjoyed the trip!

"I learned about Say Hueque through the internet – mainly trip advisor. It was an easy choice to work with you because there were not many available recommended tours. I also liked the easy communication through the online chat and that it was possible to make last minute bookings. I also consulted my sister who owns a travel agency in Singapore and she mentioned that the prices offered by you guys seem quite reasonable.
Being able to make changes to my tour at the very last minute was my highlight of traveling with you - thank you for helping to arrange! The tours were also in very small groups of just 3 people so it was more cozy. Hotel Peninsula Valdes was ok, didn't stay at other hotels.
My favorite excursion was Doradillo excursion but this was done by another tour agency (i think it's Flamenco travel as Huinca travel didn't have available tours. Huinca travel was really great in being able to help me do the last minute arrangements too). In addition to watching the whales, the guide took us to other locations which had beautiful views and we even went on a mini trek!
The initial itinerary provided to me had a tour to Punta Tombo to see the penguins, and I was only told that Punta Tombo is not available AFTER i made confirmed the tour by making the payments. The itinerary provided should have been an up-to-date one since it is customized. I had 2 options as replacement for my Punta Tombo tour (2nd day): Punta Loma and Doradillo. Initially i chose Punta Loma but on the whale watching tour during the first day, the guide told me that the sea lions are in the Valdes area and not Punta Loma this season so Punta Loma would be pretty empty.....hence i made the last minute request to change to Doradillo. This was a lucky decision for me because i met other tour customers who went to Punta Loma and told me there was no sea lions to see at all. While I' m happy that you guys managed to grant my last minute request, this information should have been made known to me when the tours were offered also to avoid disappointment.

Guides gave lots of information, in Spanish and English and full of humor!

"We just returned from a 3week South America trip. It was great.
We searched on internet and learned about Say Hueque. We decided to travel with you because the comments over the 6day trip Attacama-Uyuni were really good.
I would say our highlight were the good guides who gave lots of information. We only stayed in e one hotel, the Don Tomas hotel in San Pedro.
We had short excursions and one large: the three day 4wd to Uyuni. The El Tunio exursions was great. Early to get up but worth it. The 4wd tour was awesome with highlights and depths (the overnight stay in the refugee: ‘basic’ accommodation was an understatement). Although an experience, it took many hours to recover from it.
I forgot the name of the guide to the El Tunio geysers – he was awesome (I believe he is an San Pedro artist). He gave lots of information, in Spanish and English and full of humor

Mendoza and surrounding area is beautiful.

"Mendoza and surrounding area is beautiful. I have appreciated the checkins at both locations.
I would like to say that there are some parts of my trip that were great and others that were not that good unfortunately.
The airport transfers have been wonderful and very timely. The hotels have been beautiful and clean; with staff being very helpful.
However, the tours and some aspects of the tours were very disappointing. I am aware there was an error for the city tour pick up. I am greatful that alternative plans were arranged allowing me to see the great historical elements of Buenos Aires. However, the tour was rushed. I had the opportunity to walk around certain monuments. However, I did not get the chance to walk around and explore the different areas for extended periods of time. I think I was expecting a walking tour and I am not sure if the usual tour involves driving around to different sites. The Tango show and meal was amazing.
The tours I have had with Huenata are well organized however, I was placed in all Spanish group for both of the tours. The tour guides were able to speak in both Spanish and English however; it was difficult for me to interact with the group. As a solo traveller group tours are usually the opportunity to met and socialize with different people. I was looking forward to seeing award winning vineyards in Mendoza and unfortunately the wine tour was average.
The full day tour through Acongua mountains to Uspallata was absolutely beautiful! However, the restaurant we went to for a late lunch was not good. The service was poor and the food was very poor. This meal cost 200 pesos; for a meal that was half eaten. I paid 280 pesos for a fantastic meal at the hotel. The full day tour should include lunch.
I thought I would be getting a better quality for the tours especially considering it is low season. I am not sure that this tour has given me great value for my money.
Thank you,
