Itinerary

Day 1: From Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine - Chile Tours

Accommodation: Torre Central Shelter

At the appropriate time you will be picked up from your selected hotel and you will have transfer to the Bus Station, where you will take a regular Bus from Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine National Park (Laguna Amarga Main Entrance). The trip is about two and a half hours length (112 Km), with a short stop at Cerro Castillo Village, and then continue to the National Park.

Presentation Time at the Bus Station: 14.00 PM

Departure Time from Puerto Natales: 14:30 PM

Arrival to Laguna Amarga: 16:30 AM

Remember that at the moment you arrive to Laguna Amarga, you will have to acquire your national park entrance fee - prices at the end of the itinerary - and take the shuttle that will be waiting for you to take you to Las Torres sector where Refugio Las Torres is located.

You will have the rest of the day to relax and explore the surroundings.

Day 2: Torres del Paine National Park: Trekking to Las Torres base

Recommended hour to start: 9.00 AM.

The first hour and a half walking is steep, you will enjoy fantastic views of lake

Nordenskjöld and Almirante Nieto Mn (2.670 m.s.n.m), until you reach Refugio El Chileno. You will continue the trail through a millenary Lenga forest (1 hour) until “the moraine” base, and there a challenging ascent (45 min) will take you to one of the most impressive viewpoints in the park: “Base of Torres del Paine”.

From this point you can enjoy amazing views: Torre Sur (2,850 m.s.n.m.), Torre Central (2.800 m.s.n.m), Torre Norte (2.600 m.s.n.m) and Cerro Nido de Cóndor.

Accommodation: El Chileno Refuge, (If there’s no availability the alternative is to return to Torre Central Shelter, which would require 2 more hours of trekking).

Difficulty level: High

Day 3: Torres del Paine Tour: Trekking to Los Cuernos Refuge

Accommodation: Los Cuernos Shelter.

Recommended hour to start: 9.00 AM.

The trail goes through the Base of Almirante Nieto Mn. – part of the Paine Massif- with great views to Nordenskjöld Lake. After 30 minutes walking you will reach a shortcut, right hand path towards Los Cuernos Refuge.

During the trail it’s possible to see the hanging glaciers and the local flora. After about 4 – 5 hours you will get to the Base of Los Cuernos where our Refugio is located, considered by many, one of the most charming sites in the whole park, a perfect spot to rest and recover energies for the next day challenging trek: “The French Valley”.

Difficulty Level: Medium.

Day 4: Torres del Paine National Park - Trekking to French Valley

Accommodation: Paine Grande shelter.

Recommended hour to start: 8.00 AM.

The first 2 hours will be ascents and descents with views to Nordenskjöld Lake that will take you to “Campamento Italiano”.

We recommend you to leave your Big Backpack at the hotel and start the next part of the trek with a small day backpack (food, water and warm clothes). The ascent goes for about 1 hour and a half until French Glacier viewpoint - you’ll be able to appreciate the hanging glacier and there are also possibilities of observing small avalanches.

The trail continues until “Campamento Británico” and after about 20 minutes you will reach the lookout point considered as one of the most overwhelming spots in the Circuit: “Mirador Británico”, where you will admire: “Paine Grande”, “Cerro Hoja”, “Cerro Máscara”, “Cerro Catedral”, “Cerro Aleta de Tiburón”, “Cuerno Norte”.

The return is the same way back to “Campamento Italiano”, and then to Pehoé sector.

Difficulty Level: High.

Day 5: Torres Del Paine - Trekking to Grey Glacier - Your Patagonia Adventure

Recommended hour to start: 9.00 AM.

Trek to Grey Glacier lookout (roundtrip). The trail goes through the western side of the Paine Massif with views to Grey Lake and Mountains.

After one hour and a half you will reach the first lookout point, where you may observe Grey Glacier in the distance, then and after one and a half/ two hours you will get to the Main lookout, in front of the glacier. The return is the same way back until Pehoé Lake to take the Catamaran that crosses Pehoe Lake to Pudeto sector, where your bus will be waiting for you to take you back to Puerto Natales.

Difficulty level: Medium.

Please be aware of the Catamaran departure time.

You can leave your backpack in the storage room at Refugio Paine Grande.

Catamaran Itinerary

Departure at 06.30PM/ Presentation time at Pier: 06.00PM/ Arrival time to Bus Station in Puerto Natales: around 10.00 PM.

You can leave your backpack in the storage room at Refugio Paine Grande.

"We first learned about Say Hueque trough web search and decided to travel with you because of your attention to details. The efficiency of all the logistics, pick ups, hotels and flights was our highlight of travelling with you.

Our favorite hotel is the Higueras in Valparaiso because of it´s location, food, décor and staff. The full paine rib trip was the best excursion. Connie, our guide at Las Torres was awesome. You could not improve on what we experienced. Thank you very much – you and your company provided a really supurb service!

"I learned about Say Hueque through the internet – mainly trip advisor. It was an easy choice to work with you because there were not many available recommended tours. I also liked the easy communication through the online chat and that it was possible to make last minute bookings. I also consulted my sister who owns a travel agency in Singapore and she mentioned that the prices offered by you guys seem quite reasonable.
Being able to make changes to my tour at the very last minute was my highlight of traveling with you - thank you for helping to arrange! The tours were also in very small groups of just 3 people so it was more cozy. Hotel Peninsula Valdes was ok, didn't stay at other hotels.
My favorite excursion was Doradillo excursion but this was done by another tour agency (i think it's Flamenco travel as Huinca travel didn't have available tours. Huinca travel was really great in being able to help me do the last minute arrangements too). In addition to watching the whales, the guide took us to other locations which had beautiful views and we even went on a mini trek!
The initial itinerary provided to me had a tour to Punta Tombo to see the penguins, and I was only told that Punta Tombo is not available AFTER i made confirmed the tour by making the payments. The itinerary provided should have been an up-to-date one since it is customized. I had 2 options as replacement for my Punta Tombo tour (2nd day): Punta Loma and Doradillo. Initially i chose Punta Loma but on the whale watching tour during the first day, the guide told me that the sea lions are in the Valdes area and not Punta Loma this season so Punta Loma would be pretty empty.....hence i made the last minute request to change to Doradillo. This was a lucky decision for me because i met other tour customers who went to Punta Loma and told me there was no sea lions to see at all. While I' m happy that you guys managed to grant my last minute request, this information should have been made known to me when the tours were offered also to avoid disappointment.
Thanks!

"We just returned from a 3week South America trip. It was great.
We searched on internet and learned about Say Hueque. We decided to travel with you because the comments over the 6day trip Attacama-Uyuni were really good.
I would say our highlight were the good guides who gave lots of information. We only stayed in e one hotel, the Don Tomas hotel in San Pedro.
We had short excursions and one large: the three day 4wd to Uyuni. The El Tunio exursions was great. Early to get up but worth it. The 4wd tour was awesome with highlights and depths (the overnight stay in the refugee: ‘basic’ accommodation was an understatement). Although an experience, it took many hours to recover from it.
I forgot the name of the guide to the El Tunio geysers – he was awesome (I believe he is an San Pedro artist). He gave lots of information, in Spanish and English and full of humor

"Mendoza and surrounding area is beautiful. I have appreciated the checkins at both locations.
I would like to say that there are some parts of my trip that were great and others that were not that good unfortunately.
The airport transfers have been wonderful and very timely. The hotels have been beautiful and clean; with staff being very helpful.
However, the tours and some aspects of the tours were very disappointing. I am aware there was an error for the city tour pick up. I am greatful that alternative plans were arranged allowing me to see the great historical elements of Buenos Aires. However, the tour was rushed. I had the opportunity to walk around certain monuments. However, I did not get the chance to walk around and explore the different areas for extended periods of time. I think I was expecting a walking tour and I am not sure if the usual tour involves driving around to different sites. The Tango show and meal was amazing.
The tours I have had with Huenata are well organized however, I was placed in all Spanish group for both of the tours. The tour guides were able to speak in both Spanish and English however; it was difficult for me to interact with the group. As a solo traveller group tours are usually the opportunity to met and socialize with different people. I was looking forward to seeing award winning vineyards in Mendoza and unfortunately the wine tour was average.
The full day tour through Acongua mountains to Uspallata was absolutely beautiful! However, the restaurant we went to for a late lunch was not good. The service was poor and the food was very poor. This meal cost 200 pesos; for a meal that was half eaten. I paid 280 pesos for a fantastic meal at the hotel. The full day tour should include lunch.
I thought I would be getting a better quality for the tours especially considering it is low season. I am not sure that this tour has given me great value for my money.
Thank you,

Olivia
