My wife and I just completed one of the most wonderful tours of our life. The dream trip was made possible thanks to SA Travel. They made it come true. I wish I could add two more stars to rate SA Travel as a 7 star company. Beginning with meticulous planning by our Travel Consultant Claudia Corona who took care of every conceivable details, the tour rolled on with clock like precision. We visited many exciting places in Brazil, Argentina and Peru in about three weeks in the company of knowledgeable guides who were punctual in all the locations. We learnt a lot from them who were also caring and accommodative to our needs. We have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone wishing to visit South America. They are indeed the experts and TRUSTWORTHY.

Clara Tort helped me tremendously since day one, even when I was trying to squeeze all of the countries we wanted to visit within a short time frame. She provided me all the activities and prices, which helped us choose the best option for our group. Our tour is not until next year, but everything was made possible through the help and expertise of Clara Tort. Looking forward to visiting all of the countries listed and can’t wait to see all the beauty of South America on our tour next year.

Clara Tort, our South America Travel agent was fantastic from our first conversation right through to the end.

Sometimes there was a delay in getting some answers during the planning of our trip however we had many months up our sleeve to plan and none of our questions/adjustments were urgent.

We travelled through Peru, Bolivia then onto Chile which included a trip to Easter Island. 100% of the travel companies, transportation drivers and guide, attractions and hotels arranged by Clara throughout Peru and Bolivia were amongst the best service we have ever received.

We were delighted with all of our arrangements. The only improvements that I could suggest were;

1) We had only 1.5hrs up at Machu Picchu because our train ran late, there was 1.5hr or more wait in the line to board the bus up to Machu Picchu and then we had to allow this same time to get the bus back to the train in time. Would have loved to have known this ahead of time - we would have either stayed Aguas Calientes or caught an earlier train from Ollantaytambo then a later train to Cusco. Our local guide was fantastic to push us through the line at the gate for Machu Picchu, otherwise we would have had even less time there.

2) the two hotels (Easter Island and Santiago) were away from the centre of town. Our hotel in Santa Cruz more than made up for those last two hotels and all other hotels were perfectly located for us.

Despite these two small points, we managed to squeeze as much into our itinerary as physically possible which was made possible by Clara.

Thank you Clara and thank you Bolivia Tours for making Paul's birthday celebration extra special!

Travel dates 9 Aug to 1 Sep. Jo, Paul, Neal and Maureen.

My friend and I recently returned home after our South America trip in August 2018. (Brazil, Argentina and Peru).

During the trips, the transfers were mostly on time and the hotels selected met our expectations and are in great locations in each of the city. Generally speaking, the tour guides are good, knowledgeable and patient.

We enjoyed our holiday trip, as the planned itinerary works well, though we have to get up very early on a few occasions to catch a train or flight.

We would like to thank Martin Kaleta for putting up and recommending the trip itinerary and also to the South America team for ensuring that the travel plan went without any hitches.

We will definitely use South America travel for our next trip to South America.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival In Buenos Aires & City Tour

Arrive in Buenos Aires and meet your tour guide, who will transfer you to your hotel. Later, set off on a guided Buenos Aires city tour. Visit historical landmarks such as Casa Rosada and the Plaza de Mayo where the 25 May 1810 Revolution took place. With your free time, relax in a bar or restaurant in Puerto Madero. If you arrive on a Sunday, stop off at the San Telmo Antique market to shop for unique items and people-watch.

Day 2: Tigre Delta & Tango Show

Visit the Tigre Delta, a relaxing getaway from the city and a way to escape the heat during the summers. Venture into this area of verdant landscapes and zigzagging rivers located just a few miles from Buenos Aires city.

In the evening, enjoy a 3-course steak dinner (vegetarian options available) and Tango Dance Show, an authentic porteño-style dinner show complete with wine and live music.

Note: Delta Tour doesn’t operate on Sundays.

Day 3: Arrival In Puerto Iguazú & Brazilian Falls

After breakfast in the hotel, a driver will take you to the airport for the flight to Puerto Iguazu. Look out the windows while flying over the Iguassu Falls to see these impressive waterfalls from above. Once at the airport, your guide will greet you and escort you to your hotel.

Your first introduction to this Natural Wonder of the World begins at the Brazilian side of the national park. Enjoy a guided visit of Brazil's Iguaçu National Park. After checking out the exhibits at the visitors center, take a bus ride to visit various vantage points that will reward you with a panoramic view of the falls. An elevator up to a lookout platform provides a bird's eye view of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The most stunning waterfall is the Devil's Throat, which spans a 2,700 semi-circle that gushes over a height of 72 meters.

Day 4: Sightseeing Argentine Falls

This morning, eat breakfast at the hotel and then head to the Iguazu National Park for a full day tour of Iguazu Falls. On the Argentine side of the falls, you can see the Garganta do Diabo, the “Devil's Throat.” On the Brazilian side, you can walk out over the water on catwalks at the base of the falls. You can also opt for the Macuco Safari to see the falls up close - you'll even get a little wet when the boat approaches the mist under the falls!

Day 5: Travel Through The Atlantic Rainforest

This morning, after breakfast in your Iguazu hotel, travel to Curitiba through the Atlantic Rainforest. The route is incredibly scenic: you'll see rolling green mountains, fertile farmlands, and a subtropical forest with unique Araucária trees. Check in to your hotel in Curitiba.

Day 6: Curitiba Tour & Train Ride

Take a full-day tour of Curitiba, Morretes, and Antonina in the Serra do Mar region. Start off in the morning to visit Curitiba’s highlights, passing the Tiradentes Square, the Guaira Theater, and the Museum of Oscar Niemeyer. Stop to visit the Wire Opera House, Tangua Park, Tingui Park and the Botanical Garden. Also, visit Antonina, a lovely and historic port town.

Then transfer to Morretes and have a delicious lunch by the river. Take some free time to explore this quiet colonial town. The lunch (included) is a typical barreado, with slow-boiled beef and seafood. Return to Curitiba via a tourist class 3-hour train ride through the Serra do Mar. The route, built in the late 19th century, crosses through lush rainforest, mountains, and bridges.

Day 7: Arrival In São Paulo & City Tour

Fly into the domestic São Paulo airport and head out to explore the largest city in Brazil. Go on a guided city tour and visit the historical district and its landmarks such as Paulista Avenue, the Liberdade Japanese district, the Sé Cathedral, Patio do Colégio where São Paulo was founded by the Jesuits, and the financial district of São Paulo with it’s Art Deco and net-baroque architecture.

Day 8: Transfer To Rio De Janeiro & Corcovado Mountain

Wake up early to take in the hustle and bustle of São Paulo before heading to the airport to fly to Rio de Janeiro, the "Marvelous City."

Begin with a tour of the Tijuca Forest and the Corcovado Mountain, from where the famous Christ the Redeemer Statue overlooks the city and the bay. This imposing statue, built in 1922, has been declared one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
