Enjoy one of Western Europe’s most historic cities with us! We explore many of the city's stunning attractions as a group. We will visit The Royal Yacht Britannia, which was home to Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family for over 40 years, sailing over 1,000,000 miles around the world. Now berthed in Edinburgh, you can follow in the footsteps of Royalty to discover the heart and soul of this most special of Royal residences. Your hotel is located within a stone’s throw from Edinburgh Castle and just off the Royal Mile, with many attractions within easy reach.

Day 2

Edinburgh Castle is one of the most exciting and historic locations in Europe, set in the heart of Scotland's dynamic capital city. It is sure to capture your imagination and your heart. The castle towers above the city and the scenery from the top will take your breath away. The Palace of Holyroodhouse is Her Majesty The Queen's official residence in Scotland, and has long associations with royalty. One of the most famous names associated with the Palace is Mary, Queen of Scots. Her Chambers contain works connected to her life in Edinburgh.

The day is free for you to explore Edinburgh, shop or have a relaxing day in your hotel room.

Day 4

Today we head out into the country to explore some of the local attractions. One of the great items on the agenda include Rosslyn Chapel, built in 1446, it displays intricate carvings and a peaceful setting. We will also visit theF alkirk Wheel, exceptional feat of modern engineering and is already being recognised as an inspirational sculpture for the 21st Century.

Day 5

Culzean Castle was once the playground of David Kennedy, 10th Earl of Cassillis. The castle itself is perched on the Ayrshire cliffs. The park is planted with conifers and beech, sculpted around miles of sandy coastline dotted with caves, and finished off with a Swan Pond, an ice house, flamboyant formal gardens and fruit-filled glasshouses.

Day 6

Immerse yourself in the landscape during a scenic drive to Loch Lomond, then board a boat for a tour of the lake. The Loch Lomond shores offer many activities and attractions. Lying on the Highland Boundary Fault, Loch Lomond is the largest freshwater loch in Scotland and has many islands. The Loch Lomond and Trossachs area of Scotland was awarded National Park status in July 2002. It's a popular leisure destination located between the lowlands of central Scotland and Highlands.

Day 7

Scone Palace has an exciting history as one of Scotland's most important homes. 1500 years ago, it was the capital of the Picts. In the intervening centuries, it has been the seat of parliaments and the crowning place of the Kings of Scots, including Macbeth and Robert The Bruce. The Palace houses an outstanding collection of antiques and paintings, and the grounds are renowned throughout the world.

Scotch whisky is the closest thing to Scotland in a glass. Take a behind-the-scenes tour of a traditional Scotch distillery. Experience the sights, sounds and unmistakable aromas and gain a new-found appreciation for the craftsmanship.

The Scottish Experience

Write a Review

Castles, kilts and whisky - oh my!

My trip to Scotland was amazing! There was something for everyone to enjoy. From the beautiful landscapes, sheep everywhere, botanical gardens, Queen's yacht & palaces, to beautiful old world cities and castles. We also toured a whisky distillery and St. Andrews golf museum, even a cruise on Loch Ness! The Scottish food and drink was delicious. I especially enjoyed exploring the old city of Edinburgh with its architecture and history, as well as the castles. Our tour supervisors were organized, knowledgable, friendly and helpful. They even made our longer travel days more enjoyable with games and fun facts. We had great guides and our driver for the week was fantastic. I am definitely going to continue to use them for my travel needs. I highly recommend this trip to everyone!
