We give 5 stars to the tour guide, itinerary, attractions and transport. Honestly speaking, the hotels were more of 1 or 2 stars because the misrepresented to us during the booking that it will be 3 or 3.5 stars. The first night, they put us up at the Holiday Inn, Munich which was a first bad impression! It was a run down motel, old and at a remote location. There was no aircon and so difficult to sleep. Overall all the hotels were quite pathetic other than the last night at Munich where they put us up at the Leonardo. Trafalgar/Costsaver need to ensure that they put their groups in hotels that can handle large breakfast groups in the morning. Morning breakfasts at the hotels were a nightmare! The hotels were not equipped to handle tour groups as they could not replenish the food, plates, cups, forks and spoons etc. It was crazy that 47 people in our group had to stand in line at the machine to get their morning cup of coffee or tea! Guess what, we were not the only tour groups there for breakfast! We have decided not to go with Costsaver again but to only go with the Trafalgar tour. We felt very short changed with the run down and poor hotel selection and prefer to pay extra for a better hotel experience and breakfast & meals.

Just finished the tour of Italy with "Rosella" ending in Rome.
If you ever decide to come to Italy, come with Trafalgar!
Only negative I can think of is the long drives to some towns and cities. However, this was remedied by our tour director's amazing knowledge of the country and its many hidden treasures.
It was sad to say goodbye after such a great tour with such great people.

Just returned home from our 2nd Trafalgar Tour in 2 years. Trafalgar has been consistent throughout our travels and did not disappoint this time. I love how everything is planned for you and there is someone there to take care of any hiccups arise - if they do - it is usually hotel related and hardly and issue.
13 days and 9 countries - it was a go-go trip but I felt it was a great way to see all the places were went to. Arrived in London, then off to France and Belgium to make our way to Amsterdam. Then in Germany for a couple of night before heading to the Czech Republic. Then through Austria to Italy, to Switzerland then to Paris and back to London.
Out Tour Director - Andy - was really nice and was very knowledgeable about all the destinations we visited. I am not sure how many languages he can speak, but it seemed like it was never ending! And again Trafalgar always gets the BEST local expect guides to take you around the cities. One really sticks out with us - Jan in Prague. He was so dynamic, knowledgable and so passionate about his city. We could have listened / learned from him for days. We were sad to have to leave him and the beautiful city of Prague.
I cannot say enough about the wonderful people you get to travel with. I am so thankful that you get an opportunity to met other travellers from around the world and they became good friends. You share so many experiences with them - you miss them when you go home!!!
Trafalgar has been such a wonderful travel company for us that we are looking at out third tour for next June - we have 2 more tours on our list for years to come. We have priced out what lodging, taxi/transportation, food would cost and it just about the same, but you have none of the worry, it is all done for you. But most importantly, I cannot express this enough, you cannot put a price on the valuable experience and the history/local knowledge you get from your Tour Directors. We would have missed out on so much information if it had not been for them. I would like to think we are very experienced and adventurous travellers, but since travelling with Trafalgar, we always say ourselves; Yeah we could do it on our own, but how much would we miss by not knowing the area and who would drive us around?!?!
Thank you Trafalgar! For the lifetime of memories and new friends you have helped place into our lives. Hope to see you again next year! And the year after that!!

Trip: Highlights of Eastern Europe 17 days.
Loved every moment of the tour all due to our magnificent Tour Director Kate. Kate is truly an asset to the Trafalgar company. Her wealth of knowledge of the countries we visited is amazing , her passion and drive was sensational. Coming from Poland Kate was able share some of her experiences growing up there. We have done 4 tours now with Trafalgar and this one is going to be hard to beat. If I could request a travel director for my next trip it would be Kate hands down. Loved the way she had little treats along the way to surprise us with in relation to the country we were visiting was fantastic. The hidden treasures were wonderful. Nothing was a bother to her, even if you had a question or a request. Kate made us feel like we were all family (43 people on tour). Both my husband and myself loved the fact that we had 2 nights in each city we went too and the locations of the hotels were spot on. At any stage if you wanted to go for a walk after dinner we were central to everything and always felt safe to do this. There was plenty of free time to do what you wanted and not feel rushed. Kate's superior organisation made this happen all the way through the trip. Congrats Kate on a very memorable trip, and sharing your wonderful country with us. P.S I pity the next tour director we get as they have big shoes to fill.
Our coach driver Atila was very warm and friendly and very professional throughout the tour. Always there to help you off the coach and kept his coach very neat and clean. Well done Atila
Cannot wait to booked another tour with Trafalgar
