Groups are between 25-60 people, typically ~30-40. Usually there will be many opportunities to split off and enjoy meals and excursions in smaller groups. This is the most economical way to travel, saving up to 40% versus booking the same itinerary yourself.

Day 1: The Giant’s Causeway

Meals: Dinner

Distance 3 miles/5km, approx 2hrs.

Meeting in Belfast, we travel north to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Giant’s Causeway. Legend has it that a Scottish giant hurled abuses across at the Irish giant, Finn MacCool. To have a proper fight, Finn built a causeway over to Scotland – what we call the Giant’s Causeway. Today, you’ll hike along majestic clifftops of the Causeway Coastal Route to finish at this fascinating geological phenomena.

Day 2: Causeway Coastal Route

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Distance 7 miles/11km, approx 4hrs.

Continuing along the Causeway Coastal Route with similar geology as the Giant’s Causeway, you’ll weave past picturesque ruined castles, towering cliffs, spectacular sea stacks and stretches of white sand as you take in panoramic ocean views stretching across to the distant coast of Scotland. Finish up in a village better known as a filming location for HBO’s Game of Thrones’ Iron Islands. (B, L)

Day 3: Malin Head

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Distance 5 miles/8km, approx 3hrs.

Off to Donegal, stand at Malin Head, the northernmost point of Ireland, a wild and windswept landscape peppered in ancient archaeological remains. Our hike climbs over rugged hills and past dramatic coastal cliffs before we cross Lough Swilly on a local ferry and make our way to the coastal village of Dunfanaghy.

Day 4: Donegal Coast

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Distance 6 miles/10km, approx 3hrs.

From the charming fishing village of Dunfanaghy, head out on a spectacular coastal hike around the edge of the rugged Horn Head. Travel along pristine sandy beaches to blow holes that emit thunderous booms as the waves hit the rocks. Pass quartzite cliffs that plunge precipitously into the foaming sea as you peer down at the hundreds of seabirds nesting below.

Day 5: Mount Errigal & Glenveagh National Park

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Distance 7.5 miles/12km, approx 4 hrs.

One of Ireland’s most iconic mountains, Mount Errigal is the highest mountain in Donegal. Home to rare golden eagles, Mt Errigal’s glittering quartzite peak dominates the northwest corner of Ireland. From its summit, enjoy expansive views that stretch to the jagged Donegal coast. Also visit the mystical Glenveagh Castle set amidst the remote wilderness of Glenveagh National Park.

Day 6: Slieve League Cliffs

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Distance 4 miles/6km, approx 4hrs.

Our final hike along the Slieve League Cliffs is possibly the most impressive. Some of the highest cliffs in Europe, hike in the footsteps of pilgrims as you follow the ancient Pilgrim’s Path. Not only is it impressive from a historic perspective, you’ll drink in terrific views of the Atlantic Ocean, the mountains of Sligo and the glittering Donegal Bay. Meet locals such as a tweed-maker who still practises his craft on a traditional handloom before a delicious farewell dinner.

Day 7: Departure

Meals: Breakfast

This morning we shall say goodbye to Donegal and transfer to Sligo in time for train connections.
