"The staff onsite at Ayers Rock Resort were all great, the guides were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The trips were designed to give us an all round experience of Uluru, and the accommodation was very good. The Kings Canyon day trip is excellent if you do the rim walk, the easier walk option is very short and you will have to wait for the rim walkers to return. All in all, we found the trip was a great way to get to know this special place."

Uluru (Ayers Rock) Tour Selection Trips

Though there is a walkway available to climb to the top of Uluru, this activity is widely frowned upon today. Uluru is a sacred sight, to the native aboriginals, who regard walking upon the rock as disrespectful. However, the view from atop is undeniable and if you really want to climb (a strenuous, very steep walk), you can.
Uluru is way out in the Australian outback where shade is hard to come by. If you're visiting in the summer months, prepare accordingly with a lot of water, sunscreen, and hat to sheild you from the glaring Australian sun.
Even if you're not a morning person, do not pass up a chance to go on a dawn tour of Uluru. Not only will few people be there, the light is spectacular and it won't be nearly as warm.
