Top Zimbabwe Experiences

Gazing at awe-inspiring Victoria Falls, also known as “The Smoke That Thunders” for its roaring waters that send mists billowing high into the air.

Braving some of the adrenaline-pumping adventure activities at Victoria Falls -- including bungee jumping and “gorge swinging” -- that have earned it the moniker “Adventure Capital of Africa.”

Enjoying a memorable walk with lion cubs on the open savannah at Antelope Park near Victoria Falls.

Going whitewater rafting on class V rapids or taking a tamer sunset cruise on the Zambezi.

Watching herds of elephants crash through the trees and underbrush at Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s largest.

Taking a boat ride on tranquil Lake Kariba, where hippos and crocodiles bathe in the waters and lions and elephants hunt or graze on shore.

Canoeing at Mana Pools National Park along the Zambezi, camping along the way on a multi-day river safari.

Tracking rhinos in Matobo National Park, also rich in bird life, rock formations and ancient rock art.

Visiting the extensive millennium-old  Zimbabwe Ruins, the legendary home of the Queen of Sheba.

Southern Africa Safari
The entire trip was outstanding! The one little thing that needs help is the bud we get through Namibia at the end, was far from comfortable on such long drives

Cape to Delta Safari
It was worth it. When compared with other similar products in other companies, the price is reasonable, even with some optional add-ons, and I´'m really happy with my experience

Victoria Falls and Botswana
This trip was definitely worth it, and probably the safest, most fun, and most economical way to go on safari as a twenty/thirty-something solo traveler. The only thing I would say is to make sure to account for all the add-on meals and activities when making your budget, as it added an extra ~$1k to the total trip cost at the end since I opted in to nearly every activity.

Victoria Falls Experience
This is a must do experience! The lodge was amazing. Our guide Shimesou (sp) was excellent. The walk around the trail at Victoria Falls was awesome. The day trip to Botswana was more than we could have imagined. Saw soooo much wildlife in Chobe National Park

Cape, Safari & Falls
I had a blast on my recent Cape, Safari, and Falls trip.

However, some of the add-ons felt seriously overpriced for what was offered. Some of the add-ons should seriously be included in the base price, even if it makes the base price slightly more expensive (Boma dinner, Zambezi cruise, etc).

The Amy Foundation, while interesting, felt like I was in a timeshare presentation and being solicited for money. I'm sure it's a solid foundation, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

The Langa township tour, while enlightening, made me super uncomfortable and I would not do it again.

Some hotels were better than others, with multiple travelers having issues with the hotel in Botswana (ants and spiders! and water disruptions).

Things to note before booking this trip:
1. Bring USD with you for the Zimbabwe leg. Very important as there is nowhere to withdraw USD.
2. Cape Town weather can be unpredictable, so if possible, come a day or two early to ensure you can do any physical activities (hiking Table Mountain, paragliding, etc.)
3. The sun is intense, so make sure you bring lots of sunscreen. It will feel warmer outside than expected due to the harsh sun.
4. There are a LOT of early mornings on this trip. Many mornings start around 5:30 a.m or earlier. This is NOT the trip for you if you want to relax by the pool and party.
5. Most people did all the available add-ons with exception of the Zimbabwe leg, where choices were much more varied.
6. Add-ons in Zimbabwe are very expensive. If you want to participate in all the physical activities, be prepared to add an additional $1k USD to the base trip price.
7. The group was much more impressed with the Chobe game drives than Kruger. I understand this can vary, but Chobe was just an overall better viewing experience for our group.

Overall, I highly recommend the trip, and am very glad to have had this experience, but just know you will be tired, and the cost of the trip will be more than you expect.
