1. Hiking
Zion National Park has many trails that range multiple skill levels and areas of the Park. Travelers will venture through vistas, arches and canyons. Some especially popular trails include the Angels Landing and Emerald Pools.
2. Rock Climbing
This activity is not for the faint of heart, especially for the rock walls found in Zion National Park. These walls are difficult to climb due to their soft nature and steep stature. However, if you still want a taste of rock climbing there are companies outside the park that offer classes for beginners.
3. Camping
There are three campgrounds in Zion that offer unforgettable experiences. There’s nothing like staring up at the stars and beautiful canyon walls or being immersed in nature and wildlife. Camping in Zion is a great experience for any type of traveler.
4. Birding
More than 200 species of birds can be found in Zion National Park. This destination is a birders dream with potential to spot the Peregrine falcon, bald eagle and California condor among many others.
5. Cycling
There are two trails where travelers can cycle - the Pa’rus Trail and Zion Canyon Scenic Drive. This is a great way to see the park if you prefer to be out in nature instead of looking out a shuttle window.
6. Horseback riding
Another great way to immerse yourself in the nature of Zion National Park is with horseback riding. Instead of hiking you can opt for this fun way to explore and venture the trails.

Zion National Park offers many immersive adventures. Backpacking through the park’s wilderness is a popular activity but also one for advanced and experienced travelers. Travelers will need a permit to go backpacking in Zion.
8. Canyoneering
Another advanced activity that travelers can experience in Zion National Park includes canyoneering. This is the exploration of a canyon through hiking, scrambling, sliding, jumping and swimming. This is the perfect adventure for a thrill seeker.
9. Photography
