The Mohare Danda Trek is a new trekking route located in Annapurna’s foothills and is the perfect substitute to the overcrowded Ghorepani – Poonhill trek. The Mohare Danda trek takes an alternative route up from Pokhara to Banskharka and on to Nangi and finally Mohare. Mohare itself is located along the world’s deepest gorge at an elevation of 3300m, which is why this trek will provide you with the best panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges respectively. Annapurna Base Camp Trek 7 days starting from Pokhara which is one of the shortest adventures that leads you in the heart of massive Annapurna Himalaya within scenic Sanctuary. Probably a fascinating area in whole Himalaya, where one can walk right into the arctic zone of ice and glaciers in short frame of time, an amazing place to be. Day 1: Kathmandu Airport Arrival
After your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in our capital city Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted by one of our team members and transferred to your hotel. After check in and some refreshments, our senior Sherpa guide will come to meet you and give you a brief orientation about Mohare Danda Trek. You can then go for a stroll down some of the lively streets to get familiar with the area, and have a bite to eat. Overnight at hotel at Kathmandu.
Day 2: Drive to Pokhara 6hrs.drive or/fly to Pokhara 30 mins. flight
Meals: Breakfast
Overnight at Pokhara
After breakfast, we leave our hotel early in the morning for a drive with scenic views along the road to Pokhara via the Prithivi national highway. The drive could take roughly 7-8 hrs to reach Pokhara. We can also take the option of travelling from Kathmandu to Pokhara by plane which takes far less time, 35 minutes. We then stay overnight at our hotel in the lovely ‘City of Lakes’, Pokhara.
Day 3: Drive to Galeshwor(1170m.) and trek to Bans Kharka(1525m.) – 3 hrs walk
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
After breakfast, we have a three-and-a-half-hour drive to Galeshwor along the banks of the Kali Gandai river. After lunch, we will begin our hike to Bans Kharka. It is roughly a 3 hour ascending hike where you will also get the chance to cross the suspension bridge over the Kali Gandaki Gorge, one of the world’s deepest. . Overnight at Bans Kharka.
Day 4: Trek to Naangi(2230m.) – 7 hrs walk
After enjoying breakfast, we will begin our trek to Nangi. It is about 6-7 hours walk from Bans Kharak where you will encounter beautiful villages, stunning views of mountainous landscapes. We will also visit an organic farm school and the Magar settlement on this day. We will again stay in community lodge accommodation with full board meals.
Day 5: Trek to Mohare Danda(3300m.) – 7 hrs walk
Today’s trail goes through beautiful forests of Oak and Rhododendrons with magnificent views of mountains such as Machapuchare (Fishtail), south Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Tukche and many more. In the evening, the glorious sunset from Mohare hill station will be just reward for the long trekking. Overnight stay is at a community lodge with full board meals.
Day 6: Trek to Ghorepani (2750m.) via Poon Hill( 3210m.) 5 to 6 hrs walk
Today we will again be passing through more forests of Rhododendron on our way to Ghorepani. The spectacular views of the Annapurna range are in full-view at Poon Hill, making the climb to get there well worth it. Overnight stay in Ghorepani is at a lodge with full board meals.
Day 7: Trek to Ghandruk village(1900m.) – 5 hrs walk
Overnight at Ghandruk with all meals included.
We will be crossing varying terrain which will include flatlands, forests, cultivated lands and also another suspension bridge at Khumnu Khola. At the pristine & serene village of Ghandruk you will witness breath-taking views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Machhapuchhare and Hiunchuli. There are several hotels and teahouses at the village and you are certain to receive a warm welcome with customary Nepalese hospitality. If you camp in its terraced fields give you are sure to experience feelings of adventure!
Day 8: Trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara hotel – 4 hrs walk
Overnight at hotel includes breakfast.
Today is the last day of your trek. After breakfast, we ascend to Nayapul, about a 5 hour walk, following a trail paved by stones; we walk through some more beautiful villages. After crossing Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti. And then half an hour from Birethanti, we enter Nayapul. From here, we can easily access any means of transportation to drive to Pokhara. In the evening, you are free to wander by the lakes of Pokhara.
Day 9: Drive back to Kathmandu

While driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, we head up to Damauli, Dumre, Mugling and Kurintar where Nepal’s first Cable car is operated to reach Manakamana Temple, this is a temple where most Nepalese come to have their wishes granted before leaving home or getting married. From Naubise we climb up to Thankot, the gateway to Kathmandu and finally reach our hotel & a lovely soft warm bed. Overnight in Kathmandu hotel includes dinner.
Day 10: Departure Day

After breakfast and our last day in Kathmandu, our vehicle and escorts will be on standby to drop you to the international airport three hours before our scheduled flight back home. We hope to see you again someday.
Day 1: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Chomrong (1,951m / 6,400ft) - 06 hrs
With pleasant overnight stops at Pokhara, where morning short drive leads you to the starting point of our trek at Nayapul town or from Bhirethati and beyond, Bhirethati a nice place by the bank of Modi River, as drive leads further, where walk starts heading with slow uphill into villages then entering forested and farm areas where few hours climb reaches you at Chomrong, a nice farm village.. A large Gurung village as well the last permanent human settlement on route to Annapurna Base Camp and Sanctuary.
Day 2: Trek to Dovan 2,130m via Bamboo(2,050 m / 6,725ft)-06 hrs.
At Chomrong catching morning views of Annapurna peaks, where walks leads to a short descend to a bridge over Chomrong stream then climb to Sinuwa, located on a high ridge with couple of Tea-House and shops facing grand views of dramatic landscapes of surrounding hills and valley with snow capped peaks of Annapurna Himalaya range. After a pleasant short stop at Sinuwa where walk leads into deep forested areas on winding ups and then descend into dense woodland with bamboo grooves to a place called also as Bamboo. Bamboo a small settlement to cater needs of the trekkers with many good lodges located in a river gorge surrounded by forest of rhododendron-pines and bamboo. From Bamboo walk on gradual ups into woodland with uphill to reach at Dovan for overnight stop, located within Modi River gorge a place with few lodges for travelers.
Day 3: Trek to Machhapuchare Base Camp (3,720 m / 12,204ft)-06 hrs.
Mbc to annapurna base campAfter a peaceful overnight stop at Dovan, slowly our adventure leads closer to our aim and highlight as walk leads into winding ups into forest past Himalaya Hotel, located next to large overhanging cave Hinko which is directly beneath Annapurna South and Huin-Chuli peaks. From Himalaya Hotel downhill near Modi River then with short climb to reach at Deurali, here onward where tall tree lines stops for short alpine bushes, after Deuarli walk continues with climb following raging Modi river right up to Machhapuchare base camp for overnight stop after a long tough and good walks, MBC located at the bottom of majestic North Face of Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’.
Day 4: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4,095 m /13,435 ft - 04 hrs.
Way to annapurna base camp After a refreshing overnight stop at MBC (Machhapuchare base camp) an easy and short morning walk to reach our main highlight at Annapurna base camp, from Machhapuchare where Annapurna Sanctuary starts right up to base camp, walk leads to short ups to reach a level ground on a huge field or a plateau within Sanctuary enclosed by array of peak and soon walk leads to a welcome sign-post of Annapurna Base Camp. Reaching our final destination and highest spot at above 4,095 m high situated beneath towering Mt. Annapurna and range of other peaks of Vara-Shikar, Gangapurna with Annapurna South. Annapurna Base Camp, one and only base camp in whole Himalaya region with facility of nice and cozy lodge including nice food menu and rooms facing amazing views of Annapurna peaks.
Day 5: Trek to Bamboo 2,050m / 6,725 ft - 06 hrs.
Enjoying lovely scenery of mountains at Annapurna base camp, a long walk today of more than six hours on downhill with few short ups to reach at Bamboo place for overnight stop, and back into tall tree lines and lush vegetation, after being on arctic zone climate at Annapurna base camp and sanctuary.
Day 6: Trek to Jhinu-Danda with hot spring 1,700m / 5,577ft - 06 hrs.
Return journey back to Chomrong with ups and downhill trail, from Chomrong hill top our route diverts to another fresh new trail to reach at nice hill village at Jhinu located on a ridge with grand scenery of rolling hills and mountains. Jhinu provides refreshing natural hot-spring for interested people which is a mere distance downhill of half hour to the hot spring with two nice warm pools close to raging Modi-River.
Day 7: Trek to Kyumi drive to Pokhara 860m / 2,821ft -05 hrs.
Last day of marvelous walks around high hills of Annapurna, morning catching views of Annapurna peaks as walk leads downhill past farm villages following Modi River downstream to reach lower warm farm areas at Kyumi village, from here drive back to beautiful Pokhara nearby Phewa Lake for overnight in the comfort of nice hotels.
