From the very beginning, Stephanie was friendly, flexible, and an absolute wealth of knowledge. We had several meetings with her leading up to our trip to come up with the perfect itinerary. Throughout this, Stephanie was mindful of our budget, without sacrificing anything. During our trip, Audley was available at all hours to help with anything and everything which was such a relief to know we had that resource available to us. "At first I thought, maybe it was just me. Maybe I just had a poor customer service experience with Adventure Life. On my recent trip to Antarctica I met several other passengers, including my roommate who booked through Adventure Life. Each time and immediately they expressed the same exact challenges and concerns when working with Adventure life that I experienced. Being supplied with broken links to resources and documents, vague responses to specific questions, lack of pro-actively from Adventure Life, and a plethora of other issues. But I would recommend using Adventure Life, call them to help find the best dates and trip for you. Then book directly through the tour operators. I met several people on the trip that were able to find and negotiate discounts by skipping the agency and going directly to the tour operator."

"I’ve had two great adventures with this company. Both journeys offered a combo of moderate off the beaten path and times for luxury. Guides are highly knowledgeable and they offered us opportunity to go deep into history. I really appreciated some rugged moments. The South Africa trip was life changing for many reasons. They are great communicators and want to make sure you get answers and interests met. Both trips had very good hotels and food. Please try them if you travel to learn and participate in new cultures."

  • SCUBA diving requires training and certification, but depending on the tour you choose, this could be part of it, meaning you don’t need any prior experience.
  • If you’re not feeling confident learning how to scuba dive, look into SNUBA dives, which entail the oxygen floating on the surface and a similar breathing apparatus. You can’t go as far or as deep, but it’s a great stepping stone and a thrilling experience between snorkel and scuba.
