"This Peru travel agency planned and booked a custom trip for me and my wife to Peru in October 2015. The trip included a short stay in Lima, and almost a week in the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Cusco. Their service was outstanding. The planning for the trip was perfect, and we relied entirely on them as we had not been to Peru before. They also went beyond the call of duty by getting a reservation at a good hotel in Lima even though there was a huge convention of the world bank in town at the time. They persisted until they found a cancellation. they even booked two good restaurants for us in Lima. The guides they provided were also excellent, including one who was truly outstanding.

I never would have located this company except through Zicasso. Two years ago we made a trip to Brazil and we looked and looked for a travel agency of this kind and never did find one. I would highly recommend using Zicasso to find the appropriate agency if you are traveling somewhere that you have not previously been to, or if you do not have an agency you are satisfied with."

Our trip to Peru was planned perfectly, thanks to our travel agent! He was quick to respond to all of my needs & was very flexible. The hotels and the guides he arranged were great! We couldn't have asked for or imagined a better experience in this magical country!

Hiking the Inca Trail (and learning that it is "an" Inca Trail, not "the" Inca Trail)

I loved the bus tour to the National Parks this year. I suggest that when you go to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and stay at the Yavapai lodge dont waste your money on the walking tour to see the sunrise and breakfast at the El Tovar. It is an easy walk to the rim, just bring a flash light and enjoy it with everyone. The food at the El Tovar is too expensive and not worth the price. You can walk through the hotel and shop in its gift shops and eat at the other two restaurants close by.

I have taken several YMT tours and have been very pleased with all of them. This summer I took the Northbound Grand Alaskan, which included a week on a cruise and then a bus tour to Anchorage and Denali. It was all beautiful and amazing. The Grizzly Bear motel in Denali was fantastic. I am not referring to 5 star fancy hotel, I am referring to a beautiful room in the motel that was comfortable and a great view. I never expect every step of a trip to ever be perfect, or perfectly designed for me personally, therefore, I am always so pleased with someone else taking care of my luggage etc. I have always had tour guides that are so wonderful and caring and try to please everyone, which is not easy!
One of the other tours I took with YMT was the National Park tour. That was the most rewarding wonderful trip I have ever been on. The scenery was beautiful and my whole family loved the trip. I've traveled to Europe and used other tour groups and I have used YMT here in the U.S. I love having someone else do the driving, keeping a schedule and taking care of my luggage, so I can sit back and enjoy the trip.

      About Lost World Adventures

Founded in 1987, Lost World Adventures offers private and customized trips to South and Central America and Antarctica.

      What Makes Them Stand Out?

Your guide will get to know you before beginning to plan your customized experience. If you want to have a relaxing beach vacation, they can arrange that. Or if you’d rather hike up the adrenaline, they are able to offer that as well.

      Who Travels With Them?

They accommodate anyone from honeymooners to large groups. Trips are generally in middle price range - you won’t find tremendously budget items here, but they do their best to craft a trip based on all factors, price included.

      Where Do They Operate?

They are focused in South and Central America, with a variety of trips from beach vacations to Costa Rica, food tours in Argentina, or Machu Picchu adventures. They are also among the few small companies providing cruises to Antarctica.

      Why Travel With Them?

For the variety of trip type and theme you can choose from. They have food and wine tours, adventure tours, beach getaways, and cruises - all of which are customizable to your likes and dislikes. If you’d prefer not to overly customize, they have pre-set itineraries as well.

      About YMT Vacations

Standing for “Your Man Tours” YMT was founded in the late 1960s - as a pioneer guided tour company, responding to a rapidly emerging travel industry.

      What Makes Them Stand Out?

One of the main things to note about YMT is their breadth of experience in conducting guided tours. Starting in 1967, as a small local operator in the US - they have grown practically right along with the guided tour industry. This gives them the knowledge and expertise necessary for the kinds of tours they operate.

      Who Travels With Them?

Their tours are best enjoyed by travelers seeking a comfortable and easy travel experience, with a good balance of cultural activities. Most travelers with YMT are older, in the 50+ range. Tours are designed to fall into 5 broad activity levels, the lowest being “Relaxed” and the highest being “Active.” In their case “Active” refers to longer itineraries and less leisure or free time. Groups are small to large. Trips are affordable Certain customizations are available.

      Where Do They Operate?

Currently they offer tours around the globe, including Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Cuba, Asia, and The Americas. They began in the US however, and are well known for their Hawaii, Alaska, and California tours (some specifically dedicated to the Rose Parade).

      Why Travel With Them?

YMT has a long history in the travel industry - their guides and planners have everything down to a science. You know you’re in incredibly good hands when traveling with them. They are attractive to older travelers so you’re sure to meet good friends in the same age range. Trips are fun, easy, and all about seeing wonderful sights in comfort and ease.
