I would give the coach 5 stars, the hotels 4.5 and the itinerary 4 stars. There was just too much packed in to the itinerary that some places could not be enjoyed as much as we'd hoped.

See comment above.
Also as a vegetarian the quality and selection of food especially the hotel breakfasts were at best acceptable, no variety.

Wonderful France by Trafalgar
Wonderful France
All the hotels were excellent - Renaissance Paris la Defense was a little out of the way but fabulous for metro location to easily get right into the heart of the City on one straight line. Loved the Grand Arch outside too. Lyon's Charlemagne and Avignon's Mercure staff were especially lovely and helpful, though lobby staff in all hotels were excellent.
Would love to have spent more time in Lyon and Avignon...will have to go back!
