Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Safari Park Hotel or similar
Drive 181 km from Nairobi to Mountain Rock Hotel. The Hotel nestles in the heart of the indigenous Burguret forest on the softly rolling slopes of Mt. Kenya.

Accommodation: Old Moses Camp
After breakfast at 8.30 am, transfer to Sirimon park gate (2600m) where the mountain crew will be waiting. After brief introductions, the climb starts. A 3 hours walk with lunch on the way takes you to Old Moses Camp (3300m) where the night will be spent.

Accommodation: Shipton’s Camp
you continue hiking to Shipton’s Camp (4200m). Lunch will be taken on the way. The walk takes about 6 hours. Overnight will be at Shipton’s Camp.

Accommodation: Mackinder’s Camp
Your climb continues surrounding Nellion and Batian via Hansberg Tarn and Nanyuki Tarn to two Tarn Hut. Two screeds up to (4600m) will have to be passed. Lunch will be at the two Tarn Hut after which the hike continues down to Mackinder’s camp at (4300m). Overnight will be at the Mackinder’s camp.

After breakfast, you descend to the Meru, Mt. Kenya Bandas at 3000, where vehicles will be waiting to take you to Chogoria and then to your hotel in Nairobi.
Note: During bad weather conditions, climbers may have some distance to walk towards Chogoria.

Our cancellation charges are determined by the fact that once we have booked with Hotels, Safari Camps and Lodges and with the local Airlines, they will charge us a cancellation fee if cancel a booking. Generally there is a 50% charge on cancellation with 14-35 days, 75% charge with 2-24 days, and 100% charge within 48 hours. It is responsibility of a traveler to have adequate cancellation insurance while travelling
Itinerary Changes
Although every effort is made to adhere to schedules, it should be noted that the tour operators in Africa may be obliged to occasionally change routes and camps on safaris as dictated by changing conditions. Seasonal rainfall, bush fires or other natural occurrences may bring about such conditions. Airlines, aircraft specific flights and other transfers may also need to be changed for various reasons. Africa Safari land Tours shall not be held responsible for such itinerary changes as discussed above and shall not be held liable for any refund, provided such changes are beyond the control of Africa Safari land Tours.
