What's this trip about?

Ama Dablam is a stunning peak in the Khumbu region that stands tall at 6812 m / 22349.08 ft. gets its name from its unique appearance; siding ridges are taken as Mother’s ( “Ama” in the Nepali language) arm and the glacier situated to the south looks like the necklace worn by Sherpa women called “Dablam.” The Ama Dablam expedition is a difficult one that beginner climbers should not attempt. Popularly known as the “Matterhorn of Himalaya,” it is most sought after by mountain enthusiasts and requires technical skills. It is led by steep rocky paths covered with snow and three high passes; while trekking through these passes, one crosses a rocky track, slopes, alleys, and tunnels covered with ice, snow, and rocks. After finally acquiring the summit, the Ama Dablam offers a view of Mount Everest, Lhotse Himal, Island peak, Makalu mountain, and Khumbu alongside other majestic snow-capped mountains. Besides the main landmark of the trek (Ama Dablam) peak, the trek allows exploring other beautiful places of Nepal like Namche Bazar (flaunts a breathtaking sight of mountains like Mt. Everest, Thamserku, Nuptse, etc.), Phakding, Tengboche, Dingboche, Kathmandu, and Lukla( popular for meadows where yaks and sheep graze). Take a chance to explore Nepal’s hidden beauty and experience climbing on the top of the third most popular peak in Nepal for an expedition, Ama Dablam, with us.

Additional Information

WHY THIS TRIP Ama Dablam is often climbed as a great climb independent of other 8000m plans. It is significantly more technical than most of the normal routes on 8,000m climbs including Everest but the overall atmosphere is similar. It is a shorter climb by time.

Trip Notes • We reserve the right to change and that the program may be reversed. Things can happen that make it impossible to meet them as planned. If any meeting or plan would not be feasible, we always try to find an equivalent alternative. In Nepal, you always have a plan B and C!

• What follows is a general flow of events. Expect the unexpected and prepare to be flexible • A trekking permit is a must to travel to controlled areas. Permit, however, is issued only to groups. Individual trekkers will not be issued trekking permit • 5% of the total cost of the package will be allocated for the benefits of local people in the Everest region.
