What's this trip about?

Mount Kilimanjaro: The Rongai Route is one of the easiest routes and the success rate is very high. The route starts on the north side of the mountain just south of the Kenyan border, and is one of the least traveled routes. The descent is down the Marangu Route on the south side of the mountain, so climbers see the mountain from many view points. The drive to the trail head takes about 3 hours from Moshi through many villages and coffee plantations, including a stop to register climbing permits at Marangu. The Rongai Route can also be accessed from Amboseli National Park in Kenya. Allow 2 hours including border crossing. We will need copies of passports ahead of time

Our team

Consistently excellent performance is demanded by the management who are available night and day to deal with contingencies and to oversee the planning and preparation of all expeditions.

Tanzania Joy Tours staffing procedures are entirely unique. Allocation of work to our guides, cooks and porters is strictly on the basis of merit, continued performance and positive feedback from our clients.

Each department has the same command structure, with the head of department providing the link between staff and management and ensuring that all comply with the rules and operations run smoothly. Many of the staff members were born in Moshi and Arusha – they have been part of Mountain Climbing and safari family for a very long time.

We have been to all these destinations – Tanzania is a country we love and know extremely well.

The most important aspect of a safari with us is our driver guides. You will spend a lot of time with them and therefore it is essential that they get on well with you. Our driver’s guides are all handpicked and are very friendly, cheerful, experienced, and knowledgeable about the parks and animals.

We would like to think of it in terms of them adopting you as their family for the time they are with you.

Every Safari Cruiser is serviced after each safari, and sold after just two years of service, usually to another safari company.
