What's this trip about?

Even the most extraordinary superlatives don’t do justice to the natural wonders we shall see on this tour. Due to its very remoteness and the severity of its climate, Namibia has remained in a relatively pristine state for 80 million years; however, it's a fragile environment. Our guides will interpret what often seems to be a barren landscape and bring it alive for us. We begin in the vibrant capital of Windhoek and head straight off to our remote lodge amidst the biggest sand dunes in the world at Sossusvlei .

The art and craft of travel....

Since 1970 we’ve been exploring our world and sharing our discoveries with small groups of like-minded travellers. Whether you are travelling on an expert-led cultural or nature tour or on a fully customized Private Journey, there are a few key features we think tell our story of art and craft best:

Discovery & Enrichment

Our tours are designed for people with enquiring minds and a desire to learn from everything our world has to offer. We design almost all our tours ourselves, from scratch. This means we make sure to include opportunities for discovery within the specific themes we explore.

Experience & Passion

The team at our Toronto home base and in the field are a passionate group of travel enthusiasts. As a company we have over 40 years of touring under our belt. We regularly visit all our destinations and one of our team will be able to answer any question about your trip or get the answer for you.

Personal Service

Most of our travellers come to us from referrals or are repeat travellers, which we feel reflects well on the quality of our trips and service. We aim for careful attention to every aspect of your trip, from your first conversation, through administrative details, to getting your feedback on your travel experience.

Small Group Size

With the description of each tour, you will see the minimum and maximum number of participants. The cost of the tour is based on the minimum number of participants. In the unlikely event that the tour does not reach minimum registration, a small supplement may be charged or the tour may operate as a Private Journey. We hope you agree that the higher cost of smaller numbers is outweighed by the benefits of mobility, congeniality and enhanced learning.

Value

We’re not dealing with widgets – we’re dealing with dreams. We respect your investment in your travels and are supremely conscious of our responsibility and the trust you have placed in us. The cost of our tours includes accommodation, most meals, transportation (including domestic flights where needed), all activities and presentations plus taxes and gratuities (as noted separately). You generally need only budget for your flights (and we’re here to help with those arrangements) and some personal spending.

Responsibility

We are committed to mindful, respectful, minimum-impact practices in our travels.

A word about accommodation

All the accommodation used for our land and sea programs has been visited, and often stayed in, by a member of our staff or by our local representative. While there is no such thing as a ‘standard’ Worldwide Quest hotel, we reliably favour comfort, service and an element of charm. As we are often in locations beyond the most developed areas, we do not limit our accommodation to hotels which offer the most modern of comforts, preferring accommodations that provide a real sense of place. Location, whether in the heart of the action or in the most remote areas, is a primary consideration.

These are just a few words about what's important to us. But it's what comes next that really matters. We invite you to call us and experience travel with Worldwide Quest.
