Cycling in superb scenery culminating in the Cape Argus cycle tour around 
Cape Town
The cycle tour itself was magnificent. The organisation and the number of 
people supporting and lining the route were truly breathtaking along with the 
cheeky climbs. The scenery was superb and I can't imagine a better place for 
a timed event.


Peter was always willing to help and managed the group well.


For the Argus tour take your own bike. The hire bikes are great for the rides 
but for the race you would definitely prefer a drop bar road bike. Also most 
of the group had their own bike and in comparison the hire bikes were 
serviceable but sedentary.


It was an excellent trip however the large group of 25 made meal times quite 
chaotic at times. There were long waits in restaurants and inevitable issues 
with late food and incorrect orders.
This was the only issue on an otherwise very enjoyable trip.

Cycling the Cape & Winelands

A wonderful trip, which culminated with the Cape Town Cycle Tour in near 
perfect weather conditions.  It was a large group this time around, but 
wonderfully friendly.
The cycling from Hermanus to Gordon's Bay - along the iconic R44 coastal road 
- was superb.


Peter was a great tour leader, and ably assisted by Warren, Sofiso and Jo-Jo. 
  A great team that looked after us superbly throughout.


I would advise riding on a road bike if at all possible.  You might also 
consider arriving a few days before the tour starts to acclimatise.


I would thoroughly recommend this trip and will be back again next year.

First Exodus trip and a great experience. Terrific way to see a good chunk of 
the Cape with some wonderful cycling.We had plenty of time for wine tasting 
and sight seeing which suited me because I don't want to cycle all 
day.Accomodation and food was of a high standard.Very friendly group.

Tallis and our driver Sifiso were absolutely terrific combining 
efficiency,knowledge and a good sense of humour.


The cycling was quite hard at times so come prepared for some big hills.


I wish I had booked an extra day in Cape Town at beginning and end of trip.

A great trip overall, good mixture of cycling, wine tasting, wildlife &amp; 
lovely scenery.
Best of the cycling is saved for the last days of the trip. After leaving 
Hermanus you are basically on a coastal road with lovely views all the way to 
Cape Town. Chapman's Peak in a brilliant sunshine (and tail wind) was the 
absolute highlight.

Penguins on the Boulder's Beach were the non cycling highlight of the trip.


Warren is a very good leader. Always helpful and very sociable with the 
group.
And our driver Sefiso was brilliant too, keeping us well fed and watered 
during our rides.


The water shortage in the Western Cape is getting more serious by the day. Be 
prepared to have 1min showers and reuse your shower water in the toilets in 
some of the hotels. Worth taking wet wipes to freshen up during the day (you 
won't be able to use the water on the bus for  this - it's strictly for 
drinking only). And if you have long hair - leave in conditioner is another 
good way of cutting down the water consumption.


It's worth adding a day or two extra in Cape Town in you haven't been before. 
The Table Mountain cable car and Robben Island ferries are often closed due 
to strong winds so it's best to go for these as soon as you have an 
opportunity.

It was great trip thoroughly enjoyed it.  The scenery along the coast was 
stunning.  Accommodation was wonderful the bus and bikes in very good 
condition.
Making it to the top of the passes without stopping along the way. Also the 
group support and that of the our leader Warren


Our group leader Warren was exceptional.  He was passionate knowledgeable 
easy to approach for a chat and of course very conscious of our safety at all 
times.


Just enjoy the moment holidays don't  last forever.

A challenging ride, for a rating of 3, through the beautiful countryside and 
coastline of this small part of Africa. Stopping for a few tastings of 
wonderful wines and visiting many iconic landmarks along the way. Add to this 
the natural enthusiasm and deep knowledge from the guide and a lovely group 
of people to share - this really was the most memorable and amazing trip.
The ride from Simonstown to Cape Town on the last day. The climb through 
Chapman's Peak, the crystal clear Ocean, the lovely beaches with waves 
breaking were all amazing - then to finish by cycling past the 12 apostles 
and ending at the hotel was both inspirational and emotional.


Warren was very knowledgeable, has a deep love of the country and clearly is 
a very accomplished rider. He went out of his way to accommodate the little 
things that such a tour inevitably brings (a late request for optional trips, 
additional sections to ride, additional wine tastings etc) and did this with 
his full enthusiasm. Thank you for making this a truly memorable holiday.


This is relatively hard ride for a rating of 3. This should not put people 
off as there is full vehicle support, but ensure the training has been done 
and be prepared to hop on the vehicle at certain times.


Just enjoy this lovely country.
