I've already left one review - not sure why it's not showing.
The agent I dealt with at this company had the worst attention to detail and no idea about timeliness of responses.
The management buried their head in the sand and did not respond to 1 complaint either before or after the trip.
The purpose of using an agent is yo make your holiday experience stress free - but I left home with a sense of dread of what was to go wrong - and many things did.
Will never use them again.

Never dealt with an agent with such poor attention to detail

I booked a group charter in the Galapagos with Rainforest cruises at the start of May.
In addition I, and a number of other couples from the group booked additional travel pre/post cruise - so a fair bit of money went through the company.
My complaint is not with the product- they knew their hotels, tours etc, but when you get an itinerary that includes an activity on 31 April - warning bells go off. In the whole lead up to the trip there were so many errors in the itinerary that I had to pick up. The final version was only sent 1 week before departure limiting any proper review. I had members of my group forever chasing the agent for details and information.
I raised this multiple times with the company managers but with no response. During the trip we turned up at one airport expecting to be met - but the hotel had no record of our booking. Itinerary details were misrepresented (e.g. a 3 day experience was arriving at 4pm one day, having the next day and then leaving 7.00am the next day - absolutely false advertising).
I have tried dealing with the company outside of a forum such as this, but I have worked out they just don't respond. I sent a letter to management on 24th But have had absolutely no response at all.
I run a small business and would NEVER treat my clients in such a way - but I am learning that silence seems to be the Sth American way of dealing with things - although with head quarters in USA I mistakenly thought American service would count for something.

We would highly recommend an Amazon Rainforest Cruise through Rainforest Cruises. We had a five-day cruise on the Delphin III. The ship is beautiful and comfortable and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They have all grown up in river villages in the general area so can speak extensively about the customs, foods, wildlife, the rivers, plants, etc. It was a great experience and we saw very few mosquitoes and were not uncomfortable in the heat and humidity. Our trip was at the end of February, 2019. The water was very high and that made navigation very easy. We loved it! The food was wonderful on board. The accommodations were luxurious.

We experimented Tanzania through Discover Corps! Our trip included service and safari. We adored working with the children, being with the people and seeing animals on Safari. This trip was one of the best things we’ve ever done for ourselves!!!

We really enjoyed our Discover Corps tour and can't wait to return to Japan. My wife and I took the Discover Corps cultural trip to Japan (Started in Tokyo-then a bullet train to Kyoto & more local trains to Osaka). The transportation system works well and no cars were ever needed. We were completely taken care of from booking and then thru the process. Adrienne did a great job of informing us of all the details-no planning required. Our guides in Japan, Aki and Miwa, were very knowledgeable local people & made sure we were having a unforgettable time! The cultural experience in Japan was terrific. Great mix of excitement; watching Sumo and participating in Kendo. The food was wonderful plus we were able to participate in sushi making!

We lived in the African bush for 10 days. Accommodations were wonderful - tents with nice furniture and attached bathrooms. Plenty of hot water! Food was delicious and quite sophisticated. But the best were the wildlife experiences led by an extremely knowledgeable and personable guide. All the staff were kind and professional.

    About Rainforest Cruises

Gulfport, Florida-based Rainforest Cruises is a conservation-minded agency specializing in small ship cruises on the Amazon River in three South American countries, as well as Galapagos Islands cruises.

    What Makes Them Stand Out?

They have a narrow focus, are experienced in that niche, and can offer expert advice to help you choose your Amazon or Galapagos cruise.

    Who Travels With Them?

With so many options in price, style of ship, and destination, Rainforest Cruises appeals to any traveler of any age or budget who wants to visit the Amazon or Galapagos by small ship or riverboat.

    Where Do They Operate?

Primarily on the Amazon in Peru, Brazil, and Ecuador, as well as cruises in the Galapagos Islands. They have a minor presence in Panama and Bolivia.

    How Does It Work?

They feature four styles of riverboats and cruise ships: comfort, superior, luxury, and charter; suitable family and honeymoon choices are also noted. Comfort is the most basic level, while luxury vessels have the most amenities and largest cabins. You can charter a ship in any category at additional cost. Choose your cruise from among 25 ships in the Amazon region, 12 in the Galapagos and one each in Panama and Bolivia. The vessels range from houseboat-style to sailing ships to sleek yachts.

    Why Travel With Them?

Rainforest cruises makes it easy to find the Amazon or Galapagos cruise that’s right for you.  All their ships are pictured on their website and categorized by style. You choose your destination and ship, with their advice if needed. You can also book land tour extensions through them to places like Machu Picchu and Iguazu Falls, or a stay at a jungle lodge.

    About Discover Corps

San Diego based tour company Discover Corps is a leader in the rapidly growing field of volunteer vacations. Operating since 2004, Discovery Corps trips average one to two weeks and focus on volunteering either with children and schools or with animals and wildlife conservation.

What Makes Discover Corps Stand Out?

They are focused on providing travel experiences with a wider humanitarian purpose - and help you put your tourism dollars to good use on the ground. The world of “voluntourism” is a sticky area, and has been met with some criticism over the years, so traveling with a reputable and transparent company has become super important.

With Discover Corps, volunteering, responsible tourism, and giving back to local communities is their entire brand - not just a buzzword on the “about us” page. So for those travelers who truly want to make their vacation about volunteering first and tourism second, Discover Corps is a great choice.

Discover Corps trips are all inclusive, and while volunteering is the primary focus, sightseeing and cultural activities are also included. Their trips are very popular among families, friend groups, and solo travelers.

Who Will Enjoy Traveling With Discover Corps?

These tours are best suited to travelers who want to have a humanitarian focus on their next trip. And if this idea is new to you, but you are interested in getting involved, Discover Corp is a great way to start.

The average age on a Discover Corps trip is 45-65 except in summer, when families with children as young as 10 are welcome on “family friendly” trips.

Wildlife lovers as well will love the opportunities available on Discover Corps Nature & Wildlife conservation tours. You’ll have a chance to get up close to some amazing species, learn about their habitats, and get to participate in various initiatives designed to protect these habitats.

    Top Destinations

Discover Corp travels around the world, in rural villages, beach locations, and rainforests. Popular destinations are primarily in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

    Discover Corps Travel Style

Their all-inclusive trips combine light volunteer projects with sightseeing and cultural immersion. They also offer support while you’re on site – from building classrooms to improving water systems to creating eco-friendly homes. The ideas come from the local communities themselves, and local staff plan everything in advance.

Why Choose a Tour With Discover Corps?

If you’re the kind of person who likes being actionable and getting involved with protecting threatened cultures, wildlife, and contributing to growing communities in need of schools and homes, then Discover Corps would be a great choice.

Volunteer vacations are one of the best ways to get to know the local people on a different level than many tour companies provide. Rather than simply enjoying a meal at a local restaurant, you’re out in the neighborhoods meeting everyday people.

“Traveling with a purpose” might seem like a thrown around phrase these days, but it is the entire philosophy around every Discovery Corps trips. So when you join one of their tours, you’ll be surrounded by guides and other travelers for whom this isn’t a buzzword - it’s an important and meaningful mission.
