Our guide and group were wonderful. Most of the sites visited fascinating and worth it. I especially loved the visit with the monk and the Hakone Outdoor Art Museum.

It broke my heart that the one day in Tokyo was such a waste of time. Please, taking us to a mediocre mall and a car exhibit, what were you thinking? There should of been two days allotted to that fabulous city to see the real sites. Also, I am an adult and making sushi for four year old was a huge insult and should be skipped at all costs. Also I believe that the trip to Nari should be included as part of the trip and not an optional tour.

Except for breakfasts, the food was cafeteria grade at best and repetitive. You could do better. The best food was that which we picked ourselves.

I would never recommend going in cherry blossom time. There were 80 buses lined up to get into the outdoor sites. Buy a postcard and put it on your wall, or better yet, visit Washington DC. I would recommend this trip if modifications were made.

"The highlights of our trip to Iguazu were the National Park and the waterfalls, also the well set up access throughout the park and over the falls. Amazing views. The tracks and viewing platforms were well cared for and easily accessible . Seeing both the Argentinian and Brazilian views was great. Transport was good, comfortable and reliable. It was great being picked up and taken back to the airport and to our hotel.
Improvement recommendations: I would recommend if visitors where taking the boat trip at the bottom of the falls in winter as we did that it would be suggested/recommended to buy or for your tour guide to provide/loan a plastic poncho or waterproof jacket or something similiar to stay dry. After the waterfall trip we then took the boat trip down river and then the jungle truck back in the late afternoon. We were very wet and unpleasantly cold by the time we reached our hotel.
Our guide Diego was excellent, very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.
We all enjoyed the trip immensely and enjoyed discovering more of Argentina outside of Buenos Aires.
Thank you for your services.
Warm regards

It is 2 weeks ago that we returned from our "Discover Japan" tour. What a great enjoyment it was, and how lucky we were! We managed to experience the cherry blossoms (Sakurai) in all the towns on the agenda.Even our guide, graceful Yoshimi Ozawa, was amazed about our great luck and exclaimed that two weeks before there was nothing to see. To add to our enjoyment, we were able to see Mount Fuji's upper cone above the clouds.Yoshi (as she wanted to be called by us) was extremely well organized and very eager to share her extensive knowledge of Japans history, customs and living conditions with us. We were duly impressed by the cleanliness of the cities, streets and people. Especially the rail road stations in Tokyo, Kanazawa and Kyoto are far and above in architecture and organization over any that we seen in Europe (let alone here in the US). The visit to the Mitsukushi department store was eye opening. The quality and quantity of the products on offer exceeded anything here in the US. Even more so were the the great number of sales clerks available to help, but not at all "pushy".The hotels were very good and the breakfasts quite sufficient. The included meals were also good. Our concerns of having to spend extensively for meals were unfounded since there were a great variety of lower costs options.Just the long and congested breakfast lines at the New Otani Hotel dimmed the outlook for the day. Having to wait up to 40 minutes, even though there were empty tables, should not be an acceptable condition.Transportation in general , be it by bus or train, was very good. However, We did not understand why the suitcases were moved from Takayama directly to Kyoto, depriving us of them in Kanazawa. We came away from this journey admiring the Japanese people that went through such dramatic changes since the middle of the last century. "We learned about Say Hueque in the Lonely Planet book on Buenos Aires.
All the arrangements worked smoothly and the accommodations and tour of the Falls were excellent.
We would have been happy with less humidity, if you could have taken care of that!
Our tour guide, Diego, was terrific. He was very well-informed, easy to understand, good sense of humor, very accommodating, and he gave us an excellent opportunity to see all of the falls.
Your Patricio was very helpful and accommodating too. The only thing that could have worked more smoothly is if we had know ahead of time about the Carnival closing and have made all arrangements before then, but I understand our trip was planned quite late, and it all worked out because we could meet Patricio at your office. So we are happy with the experience of your services.
Regards,

Julie Hungar

"We were very happy with your company and I would certainly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Argentina. I found you by searching the net. We were happy with all our guides, they were excellent.
We liked both hotels, the George in Iguazu was the nicer of the two. The visit to the falls was the highlight of our whole trip, including the cruise. It would be a shame to go to BA and not make the the extra excursion to see them, Otis well worth he cost.
Thank you for the excellent service you provided.

Train & Rail Journeys Tours and Travel Guide

Train & Rail Journeys Attractions & Landmarks Guide

A rail journey is be one of the most pleasant ways to travel imaginable. Whether it's aboard a luxury sightseeing train in South Africa, PeruEurope, or Alaska, or an adventurous trip through India or across Siberia, long rail journeys allow you to sit back, view the scenery, read a book, have some meals, get some sleep, and meet other passengers if you're so inclined. Wherever you want to go, Stride will help keep you on track.

Covering Vast Landscapes

Traveling by train provides a view of vast landscapes unlike any other mode of transportation. Imagine gazing out across the expanse of Siberia, the impressive Alaskan landscape, and crossing through countries in Europe, seeing the change in topography. Its a stunning experience, at once feeling of the landscape and seeing it pass by in the blink of an eye. Bring your wide angle lens for spectacular photographs!

A Slower Way to Travel

Choosing a train means you get more time to explore your stops. As opposed to the hassle of getting out of the airport during a layover, train stops are much easier to plan around. From quaint mountain towns in Switzerland, to fascinating history in Bangkok, to sampling local food in India, a rail journey covers more ground allowing you to experience more in a shorter period of time. On the other hand sometimes the railway itself is the slowness in the equation. Chugging merrily along through the alps, for example, time itself takes on a different meaning as you travel through the ancient mountains taking in the scenery.

An Important Historical Milestone

Train travel first began in the mid 1800s, and caused a major stir. Suddenly access to farther away cities and countries was not such an ordeal. What would have taken several weeks by horse and carriage, now could take significantly shorter. Allowing a wider demographic to travel, becoming exposed to other cultures, languages, and customs. Traveling by train today might seem quaint and leisurely but imagine marveling at the speed and modernity in the 19th century! When you travel by train you are participating in what was the pinnacle of innovation.
