However, in May, right before our trip, we were told that our hotel in Venice had become unavailable. This is from the email sent by TripMasters : "We were just informed that Sant`Antonin Hotel will not be able to honor our reservation that is why our vendor is offering the following alternative properties that is a free upgrade to 4 stars Hotel: 1st Option: Novotel Venezia Mestre Castellana - Upgrade to 4**** Via Alfredo Ceccherini 21, Mestre, VE, 30174, ITA Room type: Family Room, 1 Double Bed with Sofa bed Bedding type: 1 Double Bed and 1 Double Sofa Bed 2nd Option: Hotel Mercure Venezia Marghera - Upgrade to 4**** Via Malamocco 14, Mestre, VE, 30175, ITA Room type: Starndar, Multiple Beds 2 Twin Beds and 1 Double Sofa Bed Note that these rooms are not booked yet. "Lake Como is a beautiful part of the world!! Our hotel was right on the edge of the lake, the amazing views definitely make it worth getting up in the morning!! The hotel is comfortable and clean. The staff are very helpful & our meals in the hotel restaurant were delicious with plenty of choice. The walks gave us the opportunity to explore the area & find different places to take in the breathtaking views. Nigel, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the area and entertained us with stories & facts about the region. He also took every effort to make sure everyone in the group was taken care of, including preparing great picnics to meet all dietary requirements. I'd definitely recommend this trip to anyone who loves walking & getting of the beaten track to explore the real Italy!! Thank you Nigel & Explore!!"
