What travelers are saying

"This tour has amazing sites, good hotels in great locations, great pace BUT the tour director that was assigned to be with our small group added nothing to the experience. He did not give us any info, tell us about what we were seeing, give us any info at all. The only time he talked was to tell us when the next bathroom break would be. Apparently this is common for Globus to use retirees starting another chapter. Our guide was 76 and had no energy. Travel with Gate 1 or Intreped.... guides can make or break a tour."

Iguassu Falls Tour Selection Trips

  • Most nationalities are allowed to enter both Argentina and Brazil without a visa. However, U.S. passport holders must obtain a visa to enter Brazil, and must pay a reciprocity fee to enter Argentina.
  • Visitors to the falls can stay in the small town of Puerto Iguassu on the Argentine side, or the larger city of Foz do Iguaçu on the Brazilian side. Foz do Iguaçu has an airport, while Puerto Iguazu does not.
  • If you want to visit both sides of the falls, you must pay separate entrance fees.
  • Visitors can enter Paraguay via a bridge from Foz do Iguaçu.
  • Give yourself a whole day to see the Argentine side of the falls, as there are various walkways to explore.
  • On the Argentine side, there is a walkway over the top of the falls. It offers a beautiful view, but is not suitable for those who don’t like heights!
  • Do not feed the coatis! These are racoon-like creatures that roam around the falls. Usually they are harmless, but can inflict nasty bites if they are tempted with food.
