"Did a long break trip (or fall break) with Euroadventures on their "Best of the East" adventure. I had always wanted to travel to the destinations (especially Prague, Krakow & Budapest) and the trip and organization did not disappoint. Everything really was top notch from the itinerary and pace of the trip to the accommodations to the trip leader. By the end of the trip our group went from strangers (there were some traveling together as groups of friends) to all great friends. "I recently took the Best of Australia and New Zealand tour...added on Fiji and a day in Auckland...with Discovery Nomads. During the booking process they were attentive and helpful. However, the nightmare began after paying for the tour! They told us we would receive our itinerary 10 to 20 days before our trip. It was sent 4 days before departure. We booked a tour for the trans alpine train from Christchurch to Queensland which we were told after the fact, that it did not exist. Furthermore, they failed to make a transfer reservation from the airport to our hotel in Christchurch. It took a week of constant sending of emails to get credit. They never answered them! Credit was finally issued almost 25 days later. The nightmare continues...we had to call each shuttle ride to confirm as their confirmation numbers were wrong and the local company could never find our reservations. So now add the cost of all the phone calls! Furthermore, when we reached out to Discover Nomads to help us while traveling, they NEVER answered their phone or a request for refund by email. We were completely ignored and left on our own. The only saving grace was we were traveling in English speaking countries. Can you imagine this happening to you in a country that doesn't speak English? Nightmare!!!!! And no assist from this horrible company. The only communication from them was for flight delays which we found out first by checking into the airport and one response asking for how much I paid for my transfer and proof of payment. I explained that it was all electronic and requested a refund of my original payment...heard nothing again from them until seven days later they sent an email stating that a meeting point had changed. So they had my email, just refused to deal with refunds or help. In addition, they had us waiting 15 hours for a hotel room in two flights. We were not allowed to stay in hotel lobby for so long and we arrived at 1:00am. We ended up paying for an early check in. Also, all internal flights were booked with 7.5 kg cabin luggage only. We had to pay baggage fees of $45 per bag. The costs of this trip were way higher then we anticipated. We had quotes for private tours just $2,000 higher...we should have booked that as we probably spent close to that amount in other fees!! TAKE MY WARNING...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!"

"Best of Morocco, with Explore April 2024 Excellent trip. An amazing country. I am already missing the resonant mellifluous calls to prayer every few hours. Fascinating to see the spectacular ornamentation in the mosques and to learn how the mosaics were made (from the reverse side!). Memories: mint tea, exquisite ceramics, signs in Arabic and Berber, being sand-blasted by the desert wind at night, getting lost in the Marrakesh Souk (who doesn’t), locals everywhere extremely helpful, in halting Arabic/French. Moroccan meals are huge. Beware of the set menu. Three courses even once a day may be too much. We often chose single items ‘a la carte’, sometimes to the chagrin of the restauranteur. Moroccan soup, tagines and even pizza came in various interpretations but always good. ‘Pastilla’, a tasty chicken pie made with various types of pastry was sometimes dusted with icing sugar and cinnamon. Delicious. Our guide, Ahmed, was informative, well organised, and considerate. Driver, Said, was careful, especially on some of the precipitous mountain bends. I was a bit disappointed with the movie sets at Aït Ben Haddou. I thought at the very least we would have been shown clips from the famous films that used the sets. (We were, but only on the local guide’s mobile phone!). A most memorable tour. I have spent time in Indonesia, another Muslim country. Morocco is totally different. I strongly recommend it."

"We just returned from our fifth VBT trip - this time to the Dolomites. It was a great trip and we are adding it to our "best" VBT trip list, along with the Czech Republic and the Tuscan Coast. Our friends at home thought we must be biking maniacs to bike in the Dolomite mountains, but we told them we would be in the flat valleys. Actually, we were wrong - much of the biking is not even flat, it is downhill! One day we started high in the valley above Merano, Italy, at scenic Lake Resia, and biked downhill back to Merano on a beautiful dedicated bike path along the Adige river. Our guides were fantastic. Martin is from Bolzano and is a font of information about the South Tyrol region. Christian, from the south, has a classic cheerful Italian personality and told us many facts (and jokes) about Italian idiosyncrasies. As always, the hotel accommodations (and breakfasts!) were excellent - better than we would sign up for if we on our own vacation."

"Normally, I don't feel like writing reviews, but I felt compelled to do it for Athens Insiders. I made the decision to travel to Athens in the summer of 2012 in order to avoid the commotion that was predicted to result from the Queen's jubilee. As usual, my work kept me busy right up to the last minute, so I ran out of time to do anything fun for my week-long trip. I learned about this young group of tour guides for Athens and its vicinity from a friend. I had a wonderful experience. I got in touch with Daphne, who gave me email recommendations for Athens attractions to see, inquired about my preferences for local cuisine, and then devised an itinerary for my trip. In addition to visiting the typical suspects in Athens (Acropolis, etc.), I also chose to travel to Delhi and spend a night at a campground there. And I had a great time, honestly. We visited the attractions when there were few visitors and spent the busiest times outside of Athens rather than being herded around like cattle. I was taken to incredible tiny eateries (the well-known tavernas), marketplaces, and other regional shops."

""Our trip with Greeking Me completely exceeded our expectations. In booking the trip, Nikos was able to to design our trip exactly to our specifications and it truly was just what we had hoped it would be. We had licensed tour guides for our visits to the Acropolis, ancient Corinth, Nafplio and Mycenae. All three were experts in their field and left no questions unanswered. They were friendly, helpful and we enjoyed our time with each of them. We met our tour leader, Vasiliki on our 2nd night and she, and our driver, Alex, would remain with us until we were dropped off at the airport. We could not not have asked for a better team. We became fast friends and shared many great times together. As we hit inclement weather at the end of our trip, Vasiliki revised our itinerary and added activities that she knew we would enjoy. We fell in love with the mountains of the Peloponnese and visited many of the tiny villages high in the mountains. Our driver, Alex, was from one of these villages, Vytina, and he was kind enough to show us his childhood home, took us for a walk through many beautiful streets and we had lunch at one of his favorite taverns. We all took an unplanned hike up the gorge to the Monastery of Prodomos. An exhilarating (and wet) hike uphill through beautiful forests and breathtaking views. Both of these days were a great part of our trip. The food and wine tasting tours were first rate and we enjoyed each one. Our favorite, however, was the time we spent with Dimitrius and his family at their organic farm and vineyard. After a cooking lesson for cheese bread, we drove up to his vineyards to see his crops. We returned back to his home and had a wonderful Greek feast prepared by his wife and daughter. Others “greats” of the tour: Kapsia caves, simply unbelievable Country cooking class at Arcadiani Agrotourism Collective Church of Agia Theodora What we remember most is the bond we formed with Vasiliki and Alex. They made our trip one we will never forget. They were caring, kind, personable and cared about our every need. Obviously we would recommend this trip to anyone. It was our first trip to Greece, but it won’t be our last.""

Santorini Tour Selection Trips

Santorini is a common destination for honeymoons - plan a custom trip!
The food in Santorini is heavily seafood based. If you have allergies or an aversion to seafood be sure to let your tour leader know well in advance.
There is much to see beyond the famous postcard destination in the North. Going on a tour will reveal many hidden gems around the entire island that you might not have seen otherwise.
Tours to Greece don't always include Santorini or the islands, and are only focused on the mainland. Be sure to check if you're interested in visiting Santorini!
