What travelers are saying

"We joined the Intrepid “Real Italy Food Tour” and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our tour guide, Micol, was very knowledgeable and provided us with lots of good information. It seems Micol knew many of the staff of the venues we visited, including the pasta making class we attended. Our group of 11 travelers was extremely compatible, which greatly added to the fun and enjoyment."

What travelers are saying

"Very good tour with lots of variety. As it’s a new tour I feel that it could be improved a bit. For eg personally I would rather have stayed in barranco than Mirraflores as it seemed to have more to offer. All the hotels were good. Breakfast in hassienda Cusco was disappointing. Also wasn’t too interested in victor delfinos house. It would have been nice if we could have tried our hand at pisco making. Rather than just watching although interesting. Cerviche making was good but again could we have made it ourselves? When we had lunch at sumaq it wasn’t wine tasting as we know it but 2 glasses of wine with lunch, Food lovely. the potato visit was very interesting. Pacha manca lunch was very good, as was the gunea pig restaurant in Arequipa. Really enjoyed Arequipa. And of course Machu Picchu was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip overall and Darwin, our guide was super fab. All the food was amazing. Had an amazing time"

Solo Travel Tour Selection Trips

  • A solo travel adventure can be exhilarating, but it's essential to prioritize your safety along the way. Here are some crucial safety tips to keep in mind:

Research your destination thoroughly before departure, including local customs, laws, and potential safety concerns.

  • Share your itinerary with a trusted friend or family member and keep them updated on your whereabouts throughout your trip.

  • Stay vigilant in crowded areas and tourist hotspots, where pickpocketing and petty theft are common.

  • Avoid walking alone at night, particularly in unfamiliar or poorly lit areas. Opt for well-populated streets and use reputable transportation options.

  • Trust your instincts and be wary of overly friendly strangers or situations that feel unsafe.

  • Keep important documents such as passports, identification, and travel insurance information secure at all times.

  • Carry a fully charged mobile phone with emergency contacts programmed, and consider downloading safety apps for added peace of mind.

  • Familiarize yourself with local emergency numbers and know how to access medical assistance.

  • Stay connected with fellow travelers or join group tours for safety and companionship.

  • Be mindful of your alcohol consumption and avoid excessive drinking, especially when traveling alone.

  •

By staying informed, prepared, and aware of your surroundings, you can enjoy a safe and rewarding solo travel experience.
