What travelers are saying

"After travelling to French Canada from Australia and doing a bus tour my partner and I (65 yrs old) started our 7 day rode around Prince Edward Island rail trail. A beautiful island, we had time to ride on a great trail , past blueberry fields which we could stop at and eat/pine trees and other trees lined the route, wetlands and flowers. Accomodation was varied and very comfortable. One night we slept above a cafe and joined the locals eating while being entertained by Irish Fiddlers. The drivers who picked up our luggage were great value telling us about local customs and history. A terrific active holiday!"

What travelers are saying

"I have the best time of my life. My Guide Jivan was a true professional and a great man. He was very knowledgeable and patient and a perfect fit for me. I would never hike in this region without him. He knew everyone and I could tell that the other guides and tea house owners all thought very highly of him. I can't say enough good things about him. In my opinion, he is the BEST!!!. The porter also did a wonderful job, always smiling and right to the end he even carried my duffle to the airport twice in Lukla because our flight was delayed. HE was wonderful. Sittal, the owner, is also a great guy and I was very happy with him and his company. He kept me well-informed and was always very prompt with any replies to my emails prior to coming to Nepal. He runs a very good company, is very personable and cares about his company and clients. I would use this company again. I consider my 15 days with Sittal and Jivan to be top notch and just as advertised. If you want a great adventure from a fun, professional company, go with Nepal Ascent Treks. Thanks again for the trip of a lifetime"

What travelers are saying

"73 days from Nairobi, Kenya to Cape Town, South Africa, Jan through Mar Do you enjoy people not following rules that affect you directly? Disregard of 10pm curfew, smoking and noise restrictions, or environmental welfare? Recurring theft of your well-marked belongings (food, drinks, power cords, etc.)? Repeat damages to your stuff due to negligence (sleeping bag, backpacks, etc.)? Incessant juvenile jokes about farts, vomit, drunkenness, burps, sex, or making fun of others? Constant loud music rather than enjoyment of nature? Purposeful ignoring of guide’s requests to the extent that it may endanger you… Person buying drugs in broad daylight and near cop – you could be made guilty by association Person drinking while driving, guilty by association if open container found by authorities Lack of food because some people abuse how much they take or stash away Waiting for the people who are not prepared, not following the schedule or could care less that they are enjoying themselves while you WAIT – hey you paid the same price, but they enjoy while you WAIT People not sharing the workload saying they have more important things to do like washing hair, downloading pictures, making phone calls. Once again you paid the same price, but they enjoy while you WORK People who make you miss optional events you sign up for because they came back too late or crossed your name out of events you have signed up for replacing it with their own? People claiming that they don’t have money to give tips (the way many survive in Africa) while they carry thousands of dollars of equipment, have money for drinks every night, buy drugs, give each other’s birthday gifts, etc. Embarrassing to be associated with these uncaring people. What bad reputation! People pushing elder of a village out of the way to take picture? Others entering locals’ homes without asking? Clearly invading their privacy, acting as if these people don’t matter. People refusing to share tents, storage areas, workload, space to take pictures, etc. The me, me, me syndrome leading to people being hurt due to pushing to be there first, etc. Most of this could have been address by the guide but he chose not to be involved so it festered for 73 days, making the bullies get all they wanted and the non-bullies, second citizens – incredibly sad. THANKFULLY, Africa, its people and nature are AMAZING, and you push that aside long enough to enjoy it until you return to the bus and face the sad reality of your tour cohorts. Overall, this felt like a race to the bottom or the lowest common denominator instead of an uplifting experience."

What travelers are saying

"I did the 4 days Inca Trek with Trexperience and it was an amazing experience! Our guide, Charly, was very nice company and he told us many things on the way about different Inca sites, the nature and its animals and flowers und peruvian and Inca Culture in general. The night before the trip, Charly came to our place for a briefing about the upcoming hike and about all the things we should or shouldn't take, so we felt very well prepared. The next morning we were picked up at the Hotel and drove with a minivan to the starting point of the tour. On the way we visted a little school, that now can afford some computers with internet connection that because they are supported bei Trexperience, which was very nice to see! When the hike started it was a great journey. The breathtaking scenery during the hike was absolute worth the challenging walk. We were perfectly supported by the Trexperience crew of porters and a cook. They provided absolutey everything we needed and more. The food was absolutey stunning and I wouldn't have thought these were meals cooked on a mountain without a proper kitchen. The service of the porters, the cook and the guide was absolutely worth the price, the work they do really is incredible. For that reason I was very happy to see, that Trexperience is a company which cares for their porters and provided equipment for them and treats them well - unfortunately not every company we saw on the way did this... All in all I can absolutely recommend Trexperience for the Inca Trail in Peru and in general I can recommend the Inca Trail, it is an unforgettable amazing experience! Many thanks from Germany and many greetings to Charly and the whole crew:)"
