The next two days play a key role in our acclimatization. We hike up to Jitchu Drake’s moraine, soaking in the grand views. Jitchu Drake’s peak stands at 22,925-ft/6,989m.
Afterwards we relax at camp, playing traditional Bhutanese darts and exploring the Dzong ruins.

Tour Operator
Tusker Trail is one of the original Kilimanjaro climbing companies. This log book used to sit in a metal box beneath the summit sign at Uhuru Peak. You can see Eddie Frank's signature at the bottom.
Traditionally, climbers who reached the summit filled in the book. Sadly, there has not been a logbook at the summit for decades. Since these early climbs, Eddie has built Tusker into the most trusted name on the mountain.
Tusker Mountain Guides' diligence, leadership and continually renewed medical skills put them in a league of their own. Because of Tusker Mountain Guides' deep medical training and the confidence it brings, they own a rare leadership quality that never fails to inspire peace of mind in climbers who trek with them to the summit of Kilimanjaro.
