"BUYER BEWARE!!! This company has a policy that if THEY cancel your trip…THEY get to keep your money and you get a credit the company. They cancelled my first trip..found out the hard way about their policy. Booked a trip…then had left over money so booked another…which they cancelled…again. Surprisingly…this time they offered a refund, but only gave me back the money I had put down…not what was left of “my credit”. So now I am forced to do business with a company I no longer wish to, that picks and chooses when to follow their own policy!! There are plenty of other travel agencies with similar tours…don’t give these guys your hard earned money for them to keep."

"We booked a National Geographic expedition Holland and Belgium by River. The promotional literature promised a 14-day deposit refund window. The “invoice” was marked “non-refundable” deposit. We completed the National Geographic Traveler Information. About 8 days later we received the “Travel Agreement” to be signed. We both approved and signed the National Geographic documents. A Cruise Line Travel agreement was enclosed but had no signature line. This document contained language which was unacceptable. We submitted the signed NatGeo documents. The following day we canceled the trip due to the unacceptable Cruise Line language. Cancellation was made 12 days after booking and no deposit was returned. We were told on the phone that the refund deadline was triggered by the 14 day window OR signatures on the Travel Agreement which ever came first. This was NEW information. To date, we have received NO refund of our $1000. We cancelled our trip within the advertised 14 day window."

  • Pre-2005, you wouldn't have been able to spend a night in holy moulay idriss if you weren't a muslim. these days you can stay with an awesome local family and eat their delicious home-cooked fare no matter your beliefs
  • It's easy to get lost in a labyrinth (think less david bowie film, more medieval maze), especially when there are enticing distractions at every turn. never fear, your local guide knows the city of fes like a lifelong friend
  • How about tasting some berber whisky? even better, how about learning how to prepare this traditional drink? learn from the experts on one of the exclusive demonstrations
  • Don't get in a hoof when you're offered a camel burger in meknes. like all good food in the medina, this exotic lunch is cooked before your eyes at a hole-in-the-wall restaurant
  • Sleep under the stars in the sahara, watch the sun rise over the dunes, ride a camel through the desert and explore the spectacular todra gorge. is this all a dream?

Apparently this is common for Globus to use retirees starting another chapter. Our guide was 76 and had no energy. Travel with Gate 1 or Intreped.... guides can make or break a tour."

"Every part of our tour was magnificent and well planned out to perfection by Firebird's agent, Julia Hardy. All of the tour guides in Rome, Pompeii, and on the Amalfi Coast were friendly and experts in their knowledge of the areas we were visiting, My daughter and I especially appreciated that our daily tours did not consume all of our time, so we were able to explore on our own and create special memories of our time in Rome and Sorrento. Also our hotel accommodations were superb in both Rome and Sorrento. The hotel complex in Sorrento was unique and rich in history. All the staff at both hotel were welcoming and helpful.
