Day 1 New Orleans, LA
Welcome to New Orleans, also known as the Big Easy. This vibrant city is the perfect destination to begin your Mississippi River voyage. Arrive the day before your cruise and American Cruise Lines will handle the rest. With thoughtfully planned excursions encompassing the biggest attractions and cultural highlights of New Orleans, and complimentary transportation to the ship, we make sure your tour is as worry-free as possible.

Day 2 Oak Alley, LA
Once serving as an antebellum sugar cane homestead, Oak Alley Plantation is named after its most distinguishing feature, a row of 300 year old oak trees. This leafy canopy forms a quarter-mile path leading to the Mississippi River. Restored to its 19th Century grandeur, this classic Greek revival-style antebellum mansion is breathtaking.

Oak Alley Plantation - Complimentary Excursion
The famous ancient oaks bordering your path to the mansion are your first sight upon stepping ashore. The perfectly aligned 300 year old trees form a canopy which set a particularly grand entrance for our arrival. Southern belles enjoying the shade of the leafy canopy greet us on arrival and are our guides for the day. In small groups, we bring you through the antebellum plantation’s many stately rooms and show you why it has earned the name “Grande Dame of The Great River Road.” After the tour, we invite you to join us for a special gathering with mint juleps on the west lawn before a visit to their popular gift shop which is known for their world-famous pralines.

Day 3 Natchez, MS
Celebrating its 300th year, Natchez is a city full of history and southern hospitality. American Cruise Lines will take you on a guided exploration of this fascinating area with visits to its gardens, historic homes, and museums. While here, we will treat you to a special concert in the music room of the JN Stone House.

Historic District Tour - Complimentary Excursion
On our leisurely Natchez city tour, our expert local guide will build upon the lecture you received the night prior by our onboard historian and provide you with an insider’s perspective into the city’s rich history and the preserved influences of the Native American, European, and African cultures. We’ll be greeted at the landmark Longwood Plantation home, famously known for remaining incomplete to this day, as the Union workers left the structure unfinished to go fight in the Civil War. After the private tour, we’ll gather in the ship’s lounge for cocktails as the chefs prepare for a special Southern-inspired dinner.

JN Stonehouse Tour and Concert
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by fourth-generation owner, Joseph Stone, whose family has owned the home for over 135 years. Mr. Stone will guide you on a personal tour of his unique antebellum-style home and cover the many different purposes it has served over the years. Here, you can explore his eclectic collection of period-specific artwork and one-of-a-kind antiques. The afternoon concludes in the music hall with wine and beverages as Mr. Stone performs an exclusive classical piano concert.

Frogmore Plantation Tour
Our onboard experts tell many stories about southern life on a plantation; today you’ll see first-hand what life was really like. Our insightful local guide will accompany you from the ship to the cotton gin, and will be your escort as you explore the 1,800-acre cotton plantation. In intimate groups, the plantation owners Lynette and Buddy Tanner will delve into plantation life– including the housing, music, and relationships between the owners and workers. You’ll have the opportunity to pick cotton directly from the field, participate in a live gospel performance, and witness the progress in cotton technology from Eli Whitney’s original gin to their modern 900 bales-per-day computerized plantation.


Day 4 Vicksburg, MS
The city of Vicksburg served as a pivotal turning point during the American Civil War. Come with us as our informative Historian guides us through the National Military Park which commemorates the campaign, siege and defense of Vicksburg. Our expert guides and park rangers show you the battlefields, the USS Cairo, and the most significant historic places throughout the city.

Battle of Vicksburg Tour - Complimentary Excursion
As the paddlewheel laps gently against the water and the stars illuminate the night sky, our onboard Civil War historian gives a captivating lecture detailing all you are about to witness the next day at Vicksburg National Military Park. After a hearty southern-inspired breakfast, you will be greeted by our private tour guide who will stay with you throughout the day to answer questions and provide additional knowledge. Upon arrival at the park, rangers who are well-versed in Civil War history guide you on a customized tour that’s specific to the interests of the group. Your guides will take you through the restored ironclad gunboat, U.S.S Cairo, the battlefield where the Siege of Vicksburg took place, and the over 1,300 monuments dedicated to the brave souls who lost their lives.

 

Day 5 St. Francisville, LA
Established in 1809 and overlooking the Mississippi River, St. Francisville is a quaint Southern town that offers a glimpse into history. One of the largest shipping ports on the Mississippi prior to the Civil War, St. Francisville is a small town with grand appeal. Experience this town’s rich history as you tour historic plantations, including the famous Rosedown and The Myrtles.

Rosedown Plantation - Complimentary Excursion
The affluent ambiance of the Rosedown Plantation is evident the minute you step on the property. As you walk down the flowered path lined with towering oaks towards the Main House, you will be greeted by our lively resident expert, Tammie Miller. As you tour the home, Tammie delves deep into the family history of Daniel and Martha Turnbull and how their experiences helped shape the Main House into a home. At the conclusion of your tour, time is set aside to explore the grounds on your own or relax in a rocking chair on the front porch with cold refreshments and some of Tammie’s freshly made cookies.

Day 6 Baton Rouge, LA
Baton Rouge features all the history and wonder you would expect in a state capital, but with an added down home flavor that makes it truly unique. Our private guides will take you on a tour of the cities' most famous attractions including the Old & New State Capitals and the interactive Louisiana State Museum.

Historic Baton Rouge Tour - Complimentary Excursion
The vibrant history of Louisiana is evident throughout the state’s capital. After breakfast, you will be greeted at the ship by Philippa Blair and her visitor center representatives as they welcome you to Baton Rouge with vibrant Mardi Gras beads. Your first stop is the Louisiana Old State Capitol where you will experience a one-of-a-kind interactive film, made with the help of Disney, which will bring you face-to-face with the ghost of the castle, Sarah Morgan. Afterward, Baton Rouge native, Ira Bobin, will serve as our tour guide and will bring you to the Louisiana State Museum, a completely interactive museum with three floors of displays detailing each different region of Louisiana.

Day 7 Houmas House, LA
Become acquainted with the Houmas House and its history as well as its 38 acres of gardens, ponds and majestic live oak alley during this port stop. Make sure to explore the Southern splendor of "The Sugar Palace" through 16 rooms filled with period antiques and Louisiana artwork.

Houmas House Plantation Tour - Complimentary Excursion
The stately grandeur of Houmas House is complemented by its eclectic flair as our guide, Ms.Judy Davis who has a personality as magnificent as the mansion itself. As we arrive, we will be greeted on the riverbank and begin our private tour through the gardens to the 16 room plantation home. Once inside, the velvet ropes are removed and permission is granted to use the home’s furniture for a truly authentic experience. During the tour she brings stories of the home’s many inhabitants to life through the unique collection of Louisiana art. After the tour, you have time to wind through the gardens on your own. Later Ms. Davis joins us aboard for an entertaining evening of humor and songs of the South.


Onboard Entertainment - The Victory Belles

Day 8 New Orleans, LA
Welcome back to New Orleans, the Birthplace of Jazz. Culture and arts abound around every corner of this unique city. The open-air artist colony proudly displays local works on the iron fence in Jackson Square, while the city’s 45 museums carefully preserve its rich history. Stay an extra day or even a few nights to enjoy the famed French Quarter.

New Orleans is a city full of history, intrigue, and colorful characters. After a Cajun inspired breakfast, we'll begin your journey through the "Big Easy" with a private tour guide, who will give you a local's look into the area's most famous attractions. We'll explore the most popular areas including the French Quarter, the colorful garden district, and the famous stately mansions which still remain in period form. We'll allow plenty of time for you to enjoy the local flavors, like chicory coffee, sweet beignets, and famous New Orleans jazz music.

Itinerary: Discover all Egypt through Long Nile Cruise Holiday from Cairo to Aswan

Day 1: Arrive Egypt
Upon arrival, our assistance will meet and assist you to finish all formalities then you will be transferred to your hotel, overnight at your hotel in Cairo.

Day 2: Explore the Pyramids of Giza & the Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo

Breakfast on board is followed by a full day tour in Cairo, in the morning you will be guided to see the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx: The oldest and sole remnant of the Seven Wonders of the World.

After that have lunch on board then move to the Egyptian Museum discover at the treasures of King Tutankhamen, including his golden mask and many other artifacts from ancient Egypt.

After that you will move to old Cairo to visit the top historical Churches in old Cairo.
You will be blessed during this visit since this place were blessed by the holy family in Egypt.
Finally, you’ll head back to your hotel, overnight.

Day 3: Full Day Sailing to Beni Seuf

In the Morning, you will check-out from your hotel to embark on your Luxury Long Nile Cruise.

Day 4: Visit the top Sites of Fayoum (Dahshur & Maydom Pyramids)

After your breakfast on board your guide will take you to visit the Dahshur Pyramids.
Dahshur has 2 unique Pyramids built by King Senfru the father of King Khufu the Builder of the great Pyramid.
These two Pyramids called the Red Pyramid and the Bent pyramid it is about 100-Meter-high and in very good conditions this tour to Dahshur Pyramids take about 2 hours by bus.

After your visit to Dahshur pyramid you will be guided to Maydom pyramid or the (Lair Pyramid).
This Pyramids we don’t know exactly who is the builder of this Pyramid, but most probably.
He is King Senefru the builder of the red and the bent pyramids, local call this the Lair pyramids.
Because it was built over very high mountain so people from long distance feel that it is very hugebut when you come closer you will find that more than half of it natural mountain.
After this active day visiting the hidden Pyramids of Egypt you will back to your Nile cruise.

Day 5: Sailing to El-Minya- City of Akhenaton

Day 6: Visit Tuna El Gebel, Al-Ashmunien & Bani Hassan
After breakfast ion board, you have a very active day with the history and unique places from ancient Egypt.
You will visit very unique and rarely visited places in Egypt will surprise you.

Start by Tuna El-Gebel and Al-Ashmunien’s tombs these historical places in El-Minya Contain amazing tombs from the Greco-Roman times most famous sites in Tuna –Elgebel is BitoSires tomb the high official and his family it has a very beautiful inscriptions and scenes, statues, mummies.
This tomb is like an open-air museum one of the best places to visit in El-Minya.

After that you will move to the rock tombs of Bani Hassan in El-Minya, these tombs dates back to the Middle Kingdom and all tombs cut into the mountain and still has its vivid colors and scenes of hunting and daily life of the ancient Egyptians, you will visit the opening tombs of this day Because the tombs open by rotating system, The tombs, Tomb of Baqat , Khnumhotep tomb, Imnmehat tomb. After this active day in El-Minya you will back to your Nile cruise for Lunch and relaxing till dinner. By night you will enjoy some Egyptian show on board.

Day 7: Explore Tal-El-Amarna city of Akhenaton
This day you will explore the city of Akhenaton Tal-El-Amarna or (Akhtar Aton) the horizon of Aton the sol God who was chosen by the pharaoh Akhenaton to be the god of his new religion and city after departing Thebes or Luxor the capital of ancient Egypt, the pharaoh Akhenaton established this city and most probably he buried here because we have a tomb carrying his name also Tal-Al-Amarna contains many unique Ruins from the Aton era you will visit the great palace of Akhenaton and some tombs for the high officials of Pharaoh Akhenaton like penehsy and MeryRa tomb.

After this day tour, you will back for lunch on the cruise, then continue sailing to Assyut stop in front of the monastery of Queen St. Mary & Prince Tadros Coptic Orthodox Church Lunch and dinner will be on board overnight at Assiut.

Day 8: Sail to Suhag
Breakfast on board then go to the deck of your luxury Nile cruise to enjoy the sailing from Assyut to Suhag.

So, you will wake up in Luxor the capital of ancient Egypt, the city that contain the top historical places in Egypt, Luxor was the capital of the great empire of ancient Egypt during the golden era of the Pharaohs.

Day 12: Explore the temples of ancient Egypt in Luxor
