Day 1 : Montréal
On arrival in Montréal make your own way to your downtown hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax.
Day 2 : Montréal
Enjoy a one and a half hour walking tour of old Montréal this morning, learning all about its fascinating history. The afternoon is free to continue to explore at your own pace.
Day 3 : North Hatley
Collect your hire car from downtown Montréal and drive south, out of the city and into the undulating rural landscape of the Eastern Townships. This is a short drive of an hour and a half and takes you past many scenic villages en route to North Hatley.
Day 4 : North Hatley
Spend a full day at leisure in the Eastern Townships, known for its uniquely Anglophone heritage. The pace of life is slower in this picturesque pocket of Québec, and is filled with orchards, lakes and maple sugar shacks. Take a scenic drive through charming historic towns and villages, hire a bike, or a join relaxing cruise on Lake Massawippi.
Day 5 : Québec City
Drive this morning from North Hatley to Québec City. Upon arrival the afternoon is free for you to acquaint yourself with this delightful historic city.
Day 6 : Québec City
This morning enjoy a guided food tour of old Québec, taking in its principal attractions whilst tasting the best of Québecois cuisine.
Day 7 : Québec City
The day is yours to continue exploring the city. You can walk along its ancient walls, take a horse-drawn carriage ride, enjoy a sumptuous meal in one of the many superb restaurants or take a cruise on the river.
Day 8 : Saint Alexis des Monts
Today, drive along the banks of the mighty St. Lawrence River and into the Laurentian Mountains to Saint Alexis des Monts. Located in Québec's Mauricie region, there are over 600 lakes in the area, offering plenty of scenic stopping points en route.
Day 9 : Saint Alexis des Monts
Spend the day relaxing at Hotel Sacacomie - a beautiful lodge-style retreat in the Québec's forested wilderness, bordering the Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve. There are plenty of activities on offer (which can be booked locally), including wildlife viewing, hiking, fishing, kayaking, scenic floatplane trips, or simply relaxing in the hotel's excellent spa.
Day 10 : Saint Alexis des Monts
Enjoy a further day at leisure in the Saint Alexis des Monts region - you may like to spend the day at your hotel, or venture out and explore. There are several attractive, traditional villages in the area, and Mauricie National Park is a short drive away.
Day 11 : Return home
Today drive from Saint Alexis des Monts back to Montréal to drop off your hire car prior to boarding your onward flight.
