Day 1: Calgary to Banff
Arrive in Calgary and pick up your rental car (not included), and venture into the Canadian Rockies. Pass through the Kananaskis mountain ranges into Banff, Canada's first and most famous National Park. Spend your day getting acquainted with this mountain wonderland, with countless hikes and exploration options available from your doorstep.
Day 2: Banff
Join a knowledgeable guide for a day in the beautiful alpine setting of Sunshine Meadows. Take a shuttle high above the Bow Valley and hike in the beautiful wildflower meadows that come to life for a short few months in the summer. Wildlife, alpine plants and flowers, and scenic mountain vistas highlight this epic hiking experience. Return to Banff for an evening at leisure.
Day 3: Banff to The Crossing
Enjoy a morning gondola ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain and gain a whole new perspective from the mountain-top observation deck. Look out over a sea of mountains that extends to the horizon in every direction. Continue your adventure with a drive along the enchanting Icefields Parkway to The Crossing. Take a short hike to a viewing platform overlooking Peyto Lake, and stroll along the shores of Bow Lake. Arrive at the Crossing and spend a quiet evening in this beautiful wilderness setting.
Day 4: The Crossing to Columbia Icefield
The day is yours to enjoy the magnificent rugged wilderness of Jasper National Park. The Crossing is surrounded by incredible hiking trails for all skill levels. Choose a day hike and get outside to enjoy the spectacular views and fresh mountain air. Following your hike, continue along the Icefields Parkway to the Columbia Icefield, just a short drive away. Spend your evening star gazing and relaxing in the tranquility of this rugged mountain setting.
Day 5: Columbia Icefiled to Lake Louise
Begin your day with an awe-inspiring ride onto the ancient ice of the Athabasca Glacier in an all-terrain Ice Explorer. Fill your water bottle with fresh crisp meltwater, and snap some photos of the towering peaks framing the Icefield. Continue to the Glacier Skywalk and step out onto a glass viewing platform suspended 918 feet above the Sunwapta Valley. Make the scenic drive along the Icefield Parkway to the village of Lake Louise for an evening at leisure.
Day 6: Lake Louise
Immerse yourself in the beautiful postcard setting of Lake Louise, with a full day available for hiking and exploration. Choose to hike to one of the two backcountry tea houses, or hike to the peak of Mount Fairview. Trails are available from the doorstep of your hotel. Spend an evening relaxing by the lake, or browsing through the shops in Chateau Lake Louise.
Day 7: Lake Louise to Calgary
Conclude this memorable holiday with a scenic drive through theBow Valley Corridor to the city of Calgary.
