Description

One of Europe’s great rivers, the Blue Danube comes from Germany to the Black Sea, coursing along three capital cities: Budapest in Hungary, Bratislava in Slovakia, and Vienna in Austria. This is the main sence of our Danube cruise.

Beautiful passing scenery catches you from the first sight with its picturesque small towns and villages on the banks. Fairуtale-esque castles, medieval fortresses are all along the journey. And of course, elegant and graceful cities and towns such as Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava need your attention!

DAY 1/ JUNE 18

Vienna

The arrival day, check-in starts at 16:00. However, if you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage at the reception to explore the city on your own before the check-in.

The first day is a leisurely one as guests unpack and get to know the ship.

The program for the evening and the onboard ABC will be waiting for you in the cabin.

Meals: welcome buffet and dinner

DAY 2 / JUNE 19

Vienna

Staying all the day in Vienna (till 11PM) and not far from the city-center (about 30 min on tram) you get a great chance to visit the sophisticated Austrian capital city and feel its entire beauty and energy.

Vienna is famous for its elegant architecture, imperial past, opera and classical music and the annual Carnival with its opulent balls.

In the morning we offer bus and walking city-tour with an English-speaking expert guide or you can always enjoy the city on your own. In evening you can plunge into opera world and visit Kursalon before leaving for new cities!

Don't forget a map at the reception, we always them on the desk and mention the best places to visit in every city during the cruise!

DAY 3 / JUNE 20

Durnstein and Melk

This peaceful day is divided into 2 parts, early in the morning the ship docks in Durnstein where all the passangers have free time.

NB: Do not forget to climb on the ruined Durnstein Castle!

After lunch the ships arrives in Melk. Stift Melk, or Melk Abbey in English is one of the pearls of Austria just waiting to be discovered. The abbey was established in 1089 and houses remains of Austria’s first ruling dynasty, the House of Babenburg. It was also the site of the production of many religious manuscripts. The current facade of the building was constructed in the 1700s in a baroque style.

DAY 4 / JUNE 21

Linz

Linz is the second largest city in Austria and a very important location for industry. It is home to approximately 200.000 people and host to the annual Bruckner Festival and the Ars Electronica, a fair dedicated to technology and contemporary electronic art.

The streets are covered with small and cozy cafés where you can stay for a while with a cup of coffee and enjoy the morning is Austria.

Places to visit: Schlossmuseum Linz, St. Martin's Church, The New Cathedral.

The second part of day is onboard and fully dedicated to beautiful sceneries and views from the Sun deck and your cabins, enjoy!

Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner onboard.

Join us for the pirates dinner this night: take some striped t-shirt and ask for the accessories at the reception deck - take over the ship!

Capital of Slovakia, Bratislava is an attractive and very cozy city with a rich history, a fantastic range of cultural attractions.

Arriving early in the morning and having the whole day in this city, you have so many possibility, we just give you an idea!

Wake up in the morning before breakfast, make some yoga or exercices on the Sun deck catchung the first sun rays, usually the Danube is so much sunny and warm.

After having brekfast prepare yourself for a city-tour, donot forget to visit Old Town Hall (with Museum of City History inside), the Old Building of the Slovak National Theatre which dates back to 1886. Another must-see is the Blue Church, one of the most unique churches in Central Europe, this Art Nouveau masterpiece is painted blue with white accents and darker blue roof tiles. And also climb UFO Tower to enjoy the city view 95-meter height!

All narrow street are full of small cafés with the unique atmosphere!

DAY 6/ JUNE 23

Budapest
Taking this cruise you are surely looking for Budapest, capital of Hungary. The ship arrives early in the morning and docks in the very heart of the city till next morning.

So, take your camera, put on comfortable shoes and do not foreget a map to visit all the main places of that fantastic cities!

Places to visit: Buda Castle, Parliament House, Great Synagogue, St Stephen’s Basilica, Great Market Hall, etc.

Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner onboard.

DAY 7/ JUNE 24

Budapest and Estergom
Esztergom, the seat of the Hungarian Catholic Church, is one of the oldest towns in Hungary. The Basilica of Esztergom, a masterpiece of Classicism, is the third largest church in Europe.

Check-out at 09.00.
