Day 1: Berlin
Today’s Highlights: Arrival. Transfer to the hotel. Welcome to Europe!!!. On arrival at the airport we shall be waiting to transfer you to the hotel. You can enjoy free time until your tour starts, information about the meeting place and start time can be found on the information boards in the hotel reception area.
Day 2: Berlin
Today’s Highlights: City tour of Berlin. We visit the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Museum. Ease your way into the local culture with a guided tour of Germany’s incredible capital, Berlin. We will visit the historic centre, Museum Island, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate and the city’s magnificent parks. We continue our visit by stopping at the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Museum. This visit can help us to understand the difficult situation the city experienced during the Twentieth Century. Leisure time to explore the city.
Day 3: Berlin - Dresden - Bamberg - Nuremberg
Today’s Highlight: Bavarian Republic of Germany. We will travel to Dresden, a city on the river Elba where we can admire its palace. We go on to Bavaria and our arrival in Bamberg, a very beautiful city full of life; don’t miss little Venice! We continue to Nuremberg, the second largest city in Bavaria, and a city of great history where we suggest a visit to the place where Hitler’s Coliseum stood.
Day 4: Nuremberg - Lanshut - Dachau - Munich
Today’s Highlight: Cruise on the Danube. Beautiful landscapes. Dachau concentration camp. BMW world. Today’s journey is one of great surprises. From Kelheim we board a boat to make a short cruise along the Danube Valley, in the area of the Danube Gorges. We come to Kloster Weltenburg, a very beautiful Benedictine monastery founded in 1040, where we have time to visit before going on to Landshut, one of Germany’s prettiest villages, and time for lunch. We continue to Dachau where we will visit the museum of the Nazi concentration camp. In mid-afternoon, we reach Munich, where we visit the impressive BMW WELT (BMW world) complex, the very modern multifunctional exhibition facility of the prestigious German vehicle group BMW. We also see the park where the Olympia stadium stands in its architectural beauty and where the famous Olympic Games of 1972 were held. After this, free time in the historic centre to enjoy the typical beer houses.
Day 5: Munich - Fussen - Rothenburg - Frankfurt
Today's Highlights: Neuschwanstein. Rothenburg Christmas Museum. Amidst alpine summits and very beautiful scenery, we travel to Fussen and the Neuschwanstein Castle. We get on a bus to Maria Bridge and admire the fantastic scenery from this little bridge between the hills. You can either return on foot or horse and cart (not included). After this, continuing with our romantic route, we travel to Rothenburg, a very pretty city surrounded by walls, where we enter the beautiful Christmas Museum (entrance included). Next Frankfurt, Germany’s financial capital.
Day 6: Frankfurt - Reno - Cochem - Cologne (Köln)
Today's Highlight: Cruise on the Rhine. Romantic route. Today we will see the valleys of the Rhine and Mosel, two rivers loaded with history and sprinkled with charming villages. We take a short cruise on the Rhine, between the villages of Rudesheim and St. Goar, undoubtedly the most picturesque section of the river. Then we will go on to the river Mosel, and will have time for lunch in Cochem, a very picturesque village on the bank of the river. We also visit the incredible Burg Eltz, a medieval castle surrounded by forests in the mountains. In the late afternoon we will arrive in Cologne, time for a stroll in the busy area of the cathedral before going on to our hotel in Dusseldorf.
Day 7: Cologne (Köln) - Hamelin - Hannover
Today's Highlight: Coal Mine Industrial Complex. A stroll in Dusseldorf, a city on the banks of the Rhine and in the centre of Germany’s most industrial region. We continue to Zollverein, which is one of the most important points on the “European route of industrial and heritage”, where we visit its Coal Mine Industrial Complex, declared World Heritage. We proceed north bound, stopping in Hamelin, a city made famous due to the Pied Piper. After following in the footsteps of the mice, we continue to Hannover, where we have time to visit the centre of this thriving city. Note: On dates when there are trade fairs or congresses, the accommodation may be in a nearby town.
Day 8: Hannover - Hamburg - Flensburg - Arhus
Today's Highlight: North of Germany and farming regions of Jutland. After a short time in Hannover we leave for Hamburg, where we go around its lake and see its busy port full of life, time for lunch. After lunch we travel to Flensburg a pretty seaside village with its marina on the border with Denmark. Our route goes on to Aarhus, Denmark’s second largest city in the centre of Jutland.
Day 9: Arhus - Kristiansand Ferry - Kristiansand - Stavanger
Today's Highlights: Norwegian coastline. We will travel to Hirtshals, where we will take a ferry crossing the North Sea to Norway. A three-hour voyage to Kristiansand. We will continue along Norway’s southern coastline and enjoy its stunning landscapes. Next stop Stavanger, a small picturesque town that has an active port by the fjord. Note: Ferry operation hours vary depending on the months. Sometimes it is normally reserved to have lunch on the boat.
Day 10: Stavanger - Bergen
Today's Highlights: beautiful fjord and sea landscapes. Funicular trip to mount Floyen. Upon leaving the city, we will stop at the ‘Swords in Rock’ monument, where we will be reminded of the Vikings, before continuing the very beautiful scenic tour. We follow the route going through tunnels, bridges and travel some stretches by boat to go along the fjord coast of Norway. One of its undersea tunnels is the deepest one in the world. This stage gets more relaxed and spectacular with its two boat trips. We will arrive in Bergen at lunch time. We take a funicular trip to Mount Fløyen which offers amazing views of the town and Bergen fjord. There will be some leisure time later to enjoy the capitol city of fjords.
Day 11: Bergen - Oslo
Today's Highlights: Spectacular scenery of mountains and fjords. Cruise. More fantastic landscapes today, images of Norway’s interior region fjords, glaciers, lakes and forests. We will travel to Sognefjord, Norway’s largest fjord. Prior to arrival, we will stop at the beautiful Tvindefossen waterfall. We will take a magnificent cruise between the cities of Gudvangen and Flam; enjoy stunning landscapes during this two-hour voyage. We continue our journey crossing magnificent snow-covered landscapes. We travel through Lærdal Tunnel, one of the longest in the world. Next, a visit to Borgund’s 12th century wooden church (entrance included) which is considered Norway’s best-preserved medieval church. We arrive in Oslo with free time to check out its port, main streets, and the artworks at Frognerparken.
Day 12: Oslo - Orebro - Stockholm
Today's Highlights: impressive scenery with mountains, forests and lakes. We will spend some time in Oslo before departing for Sweden. Enjoy landscapes with forests and lakes. Next stop in Orebro, a town next to a beautiful lake with a castle and charming historic center. Time for stroll and to take lunch. Continuing to Stockholm, arriving in the evening.
Day 13: Stockholm
Today´s Highlights: Stockholm sightseeing. Today we make a panoramic tour of this very beautiful capital city built on 13 islands joined together. We will see the Gamla Stand or the “City between the Bridges”, the old quarter of the city, full of life where there are many monumental buildings such as the Nobel Museum, alongside the main square of Stortorget, which pays tribute to the winners of the Nobel Prizes, the Cathedral and the Royal Palace. Whenever possible, we will enjoy a pretty view from the Fjällgatan viewpoint. Then leisure time. We recommend visiting the museums and parks. Optionally, we suggest a visit to the City Hall and to the Vasa museum-ship.
Day 14: Stockholm - Helsingor - Copenhagen
Today’s Highlights: Ferry crossing from Sweden to Denmark. Departing Stockholm we travel south. After spending some time in the active coastal town of Helsingborg, we will take a ferry from Sweden to Helsingor in Denmark in the early afternoon. Enjoy some time in Helsingor, Hamlet’s hometown, where the great Kronborg Castle stands out, before we resume our trip to Copenhagen, arriving in the late afternoon. Note: On holidays or during conferences, we may stay in Malmö, a Swedish city located 25 km from Copenhagen and connected by a fantastic suspension bridge.
Day 15: Copenhagen
Today’s Highlights: Visit of Copenhagen. In the morning, comprehensive tour of the Danish capital with a local guide. Copenhagen is the largest Scandinavian city, and full of contrasts: the popular Tivoli, Christianborg Palace, the terraces of Nyhavn, the Mermaid. In the afternoon you can enjoy some leisure time.End of our services. Check the time of your flight in case you need an additional night.
Day 1: Welcome to Copenhagen
On arrival at Copenhagen airport, your transfer will leave for your hotel at 09:00, 12:00 or 15:00. Then you will be at leisure to relax and settle in. At 17:30, join your Travel Director and fellow travellers and enjoy drinks and a warm and friendly Welcome Dinner. In the evening visit the glittering lights and enchanting atmosphere of the world-famous Tivoli Gardens.

Day 2: Wonderful Copenhagen
A Local Expert will reveal the charm of Denmark's capital. Meet Hans Christian Andersen's Little Mermaid gazing wistfully across the harbour and see Christiansborg Palace, the seat of the Danish Government. Continue to Rosenborg Castle, Amalienborg Palace, the Renaissance Stock Exchange and Copenhagen Cathedral, where the Crown Prince of Denmark married Princess Mary. View the unusual Rundertaarn and enjoy an afternoon at your leisure, relaxing or exploring at your pace. Perhaps take an Optional Experience into the picturesque Danish countryside to see the castles of North Zealand?

Day 5: Stockholm, City of Islands
See the charms of Sweden's capital with your Local Expert. On Gamla Stan, start with the cathedral, the coronation palace of many Swedish kings and the Old Town, with some of the narrowest streets in the world and stroll through the courtyard of the Royal Palace. Visit the imposing City Hall to see its fabulous Gyllene salen, the Golden Hall, with its walls covered in 18 million gilded mosaic tiles, and the Blå hallen, the Blue Hall, where the Nobel Prize banquets are held. There's free time in the afternoon for you to explore at your own pace. Perhaps visit the fabulous Vasa Galleon, raised from Stockholm's harbour-bed in 1961 after sinking on its maiden voyage in 1628?

Day 6: Sigtuna, Uppsala and Falun
Travel to Sigtuna on the shores of Lake Mälaren, it was once the Viking capital and now boasts Sweden’s smallest City Hall. Continue to the historic city of Uppsala, seat of Scandinavia’s oldest university. Meet Hans Odoo, a passionate local storyteller, who will share the fascinating history of the Carl Linneaus Garden on a guided tour. You’ll learn about Sweden’s first botanical garden and its 1300 species of flora and fauna. Travel to Falun, an old historic mining town. With your Travel Director see the Falun Copper Mine and the Great Pit, a vast crater created by an enormous mine collapse in 1687. In the evening, enjoy a delightful meal at Banken Restaurant, prepared with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.

Day 7: Lillehammer
A scenic drive along the shores of Lake Siljan in the Dalarna region brings you to Nusnäs, home of the Dala horse. Meet the entertaining Olsson family who has passed the art of making wooden horses down through the generations and visit their workshop to witness a colourful wooden horse being made. Continue deep into the forested heart of Sweden to reach Sälen, Sweden’s largest alpine destination. It is known as the starting point for the world’s oldest and longest cross-country ski race, Vasaloppet, a 90 kilometre track that has been challenging skiers since 1922. Cross the border to Norway and pass Hamar with its Olympic ice skating rink known as the Viking Ship. Journey along the shores of Mjøsa, Norway’s largest lake, to arrive at Lillehammer, home of the 1994 Winter Olympics.

Day 8: Geiranger, Jewel of the Fjords Relaxed Start
Journey northwest from Lillehammer, travelling through the countryside of 'Peer Gynt', immortalised by Ibsen. At Lom, visit the Norwegian stave church dating back to 1158. Continue along winding roads that pass waterfalls, rivers, ice fields, lakes and snow-capped peaks. For the next two nights you will stay in the scenic village of Geiranger, overlooking fjords and soaring mountains.

Day 9: Geiranger at Leisure Relaxed Start
Enjoy a relaxed start and a day reserved for your leisure amongst the most breathtaking scenery of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Day 10: Fjærland and Fjordland Relaxed Start
After a relaxed morning, take a scenic cruise through the Geirangerfjord. Your travels continue to the Bøya Glacier for a photo-stop. Explore Fjærland with Insight Choice. Choose to visit the interactive Norwegian Glacier Museum at the foot of the Jostedalsbreen, the largest icecap in continental Europe. Alternatively, take a walk through the village of Fjærland with a Local Expert and hear about life between the fjord and the glacier. Then enjoy a scenic drive onto your hotel in Leikanger. Day 11: The Flåm Railway to Bergen
Cross the serene waters of magnificent Sognefjord, the longest fjord in Norway. Then embark on a spectacularly scenic journey aboard the Flåm Railway, ascending from sea level to 914 metres. Visit a family-run farm on the Hardangerfjord to hear how eight generations have farmed the land, producing fruit, berries and various jams, jellies, traditional spreads, cake and other delicious treats. Sample their fresh apple juice and homemade cider and enjoy a walk through the orchard. Travel on to your hotel in the historic port of Bergen.

Day 12: The Hanseatic port of Bergen Relaxed Start
A Local Expert introduces you to Bergen. The ancient Hanseatic port city still largely looks to the sea for its living, as evidenced by the picturesque and lively Fish Market, set in a charming location in the heart of the city. The market also has stalls selling a colourful variety of fruits, vegetables, flowers, handicrafts and souvenirs. After seeing the 13th century Haakon’s Hall, there will be time to explore all that this exciting town has to offer. Perhaps you might like to visit the home of composer Edvard Grieg, before ascend Mount Fløyen by the only funicular in Scandinavia?

Day 13: Mountains and Fjords to Oslo
Travel along scenic and varied landscapes to Oslo, through some of Norway's most picturesque ski-resorts. Leaving the seaside town of Bergen, you will start heading inland among soaring mountains to reach the exceptional Hardangerfjord, also known as the Queen of the Fjords. Your journey continues climbing up to elevations of 1200m (3930ft) offering moon like scenery and passing some of Norway’s ski resorts on the Hardanger Plateau. After returning to lower areas you’ll be driving among dense forests before reaching the capital city of Oslo.
