Description |
Admire the sun-kissed splendour of the fabulous French Riviera as you cruise along the coast aboard Boudicca, and step ashore to experience the glitz and glamour of this stunning region as you encounter four luxurious destinations in just three days. |
The Portuguese Inland Way links the city of Lisbon and Santiago de Compostela. It’s one of the many pilgrimage routes that spread across Spain, France and Portugal in medieval times, and today takes hikers through historical towns and villages and rolling Portuguese countryside until it crosses the Spanish border to the beautiful medieval town of Tui. From Tui, with its picturesque 12th century Cathedral, the Camino travels north over the Pontevedra province of Galicia through lush forest trails and the medieval towns of Pontevedra, Caldas de Reis and Padron, famous for its Padron peppers. This 8 day trip takes in just over 115km of the Portuguese Way, with average daily walking distances of just over 23km, and allows you to obtain the Certificate of Completion (‘Compostela’) in Santiago de Compostela. It is a well signposted route with a good range of services (cafes, restaurants) to allow for breaks. This Camino is recommended for those looking for a ‘flattish’ trail and to finish in Santiago de Compostela. Comfortable and characterful 2 and 3 star accommodation welcomes you each evening and allows for a good night’s rest while luggage transfers, 24hr phone assistance, walking notes and maps adds to the feeling of freedom and allows confidence to grow without having the stress of doing this trip independently. |
