Day 1 San José
Arrive at any time. Tonight, explore the La California barrio with your fellow travellers. Stop in at one of the many bars to get to know your group over a few drinks. Cheers to new friends and new adventures!
Please try to arrive before 6pm for an important group meeting where you can meet the CEO (Chief Experience Officer) and the other group members.
Day 2 San José/La Fortuna
Travel to La Fortuna with stunning Arenal Volcano as its backdrop. Options abound—soak in Arenal's hot springs or get the adrenaline pumping with whitewater rafting or waterfall rappelling.
La Fortuna, the town near the foot of Arenal Volcano, is an excellent base for adventure. Optional activities in this area abound. Hike the area’s nature trails, swim in chilly La Fortuna waterfall or go canyoning (rappelling) and catch a bird’s eye view of the forest greenery. Other optional activities include full-day white water rafting on the Toro or Balsa Rivers, mountain biking, caving, horseback riding, or a tour of the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge.
Day 3 La Fortuna
Enjoy a full day in La Fortuna to relax or experience some of the many optional activities available.
Day 4 La Fortuna / Southern Nicoya Peninsula
Travel to the best of Costa Rica's Pacific coast. Kick back and enjoy this beach paradise.
Head to the Pacific coast for some much needed beach time and relaxation. Playa Santa Teresa and Malpais are small towns frequented by surfers. Opt to hit the waves, or visit Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve – take a hike to explore the area or check out the snorkelling at Secret Beach.
Day 5 Santa Teresa / Montezuma
Try out surfing, visit Isla Tortuga, or just chill out on the beach. Don't miss the night life.
Take a day trip to the beautiful Isla Tortuga, where you can snorkel along a volcanic rock reef or check out the nearby surf havens of Mal Pais and Santa Teresa. Adrenaline junkies can take their pick of activities as well - surfing, ziplining, boogie boarding, horseback riding or scuba diving are all options. On the other hand, if relaxation is what you seek, opt for a yoga class or take a leisurely hike to search for orchids. Want to learn how to surf in Costa Rica? Day 7 Southern Nicoya Peninsula / San José
Enjoy a morning at the beach, then transfer back to the capital for a final evening with the group.
Squeeze in morning beach time before embarking on our journey back to the capital, San José. Arrive in the evening (approx 9pm) in time to shower and head out for a final night on the town.
Day 8 San José

Day 1: Arrive in Costa Rica
After your flight, you will exit the plane and instantly feel the pure Costa Rican air; here your adventure begins. A representative will be waiting for you at the airport to accompany you during your private transfer to your hotel in Arenal, located 2.5 hours away. Along the way, you will get your first taste of the beauty Costa Rica has to offer. Overnight in Arenal Volcano Area. Meals not included.
Day 2: La Fortuna Waterfall / Arenal Volcano
Meals: Breakfast and Lunch
Get your walking shoes on and your cameras ready because today you will experience the many different hues of vivid greens as you explore the rainforest for the very first time, both from the ground and from the treetops, as you will be crossing over the jungle via hanging bridges. The pristine forest only grows in beauty and awe as you continue your trek toward the looming La Fortuna Waterfall, where you can feel one with nature as you swim in its waters. After you are refreshed and refueled, the adventure will conclude with a leisurely nature walk through the Arenal Volcano National Park. Overnight in Arenal.
Day 3: Tambor Beach
Meals: Breakfast
Now that you experienced the mystery of the jungle, you will observe the many different forests and farmlands as you transfer to the coast of the Nicoya Peninsula via a shuttle. Try to find dolphins, turtles, and other marine wildlife as a ferry takes you from to your final shuttle. The rest of the afternoon is free to enjoy the luxuries of the beach or explore the many different activities the hotel offers. Overnight in Tambor Beach.
Day 4: Tortuga Island
Meals: Breakfast and Lunch
Listen to the calls and noises of the jungle as its inhabitants are waking up during your short boat ride to the Curu Reserve. During your jungle walk, as you spot different species of wildlife, you will be able to decipher which animals belong to which calls. The tour continues with a boat ride to an illuminating, white sand beach called Tortuga Island, where you can snorkel over the colorful reef and explore the habitat that houses a variety of marine wildlife. With nature surrounding you, there will be many opportunities to discover even more flora and fauna as you continue your adventure on a mangrove safari in the Pochote Mangrove. Overnight in Tambor Beach.
Day 5: Return to San José
Meals: Breakfast
You will return to the fast-paced style of living in the capital of Costa Rica, San Jose. The day is free for you to explore the city one last time before your departure the following day. Overnight in San Jose.
Day 6: See you again!
Meals: Breakfast
It is not a “good-bye” but a “see you again” as you take your private transfer to Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) to travel back home and reunite with family and friends.
