This trip takes you to Lake Mburo NP, Bwindi Impenetrable NP and Lake Bunyonyi. Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to Lake Mburo NP. While in Mburo, go out for game viewing and head to Bwindi. Enjoy the ultimate gorilla trekking experience and proceed to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation and sightseeing. Depart Bunyonyi with very spectacular memory of the Bunyonyi little islands. Be dropped off at Entebbe airport for your flight out.

Join us on a five-day trip to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park to view Uganda's finest (mountain Gorillas) alongside other primates in the Gorilla trekking activity to interact and understand the way of living in these primates. Also visit Lake Bunyonyi one of the deepest lakes in the world and Lake mburo national park to view vast wildlife species of birds like African watt led lapwing, Common. Bare-faced go-away-bird, Common, Black-bellied bustard, Common Greater painted-snipe among others and mammals like Burch ell’s zebra and eland only found here and in the less accessible Kidepo NP, impala are residents, Bushbuck has a quite unique habit in the park among others.

Itinerary: 4-Day Pearl of Africa Trip Including Gorilla Trekking

Day 1: Arrive Entebbe Airport (not past 14:00), pick up and transfer to Lake Mburo NP.

Meals: Dinner

Accommodation: Eagles' Nest Mburo(Budget Level)

Drive time: Approx. 4 hours.

We hope your flight is scheduled for an early (not past 14:00) landing at Entebbe Airport. Upon arrival, you will be received by the assigned English-speaking professional driver-guide who will welcome you into the Pearl of Africa. Thereafter, you will hit the road for a transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Depending on your arrival time, you will reach Mburo between the early afternoon hours and late evening hours. OPTIONAL: Just in case you have reached early and interested, you may proceed out for a breathtaking night game drive (at an extra cost on ground). Else, just check- in for dinner and overnight. 

Day 2: Undertake morning game drive and then, transfer to accommodation in Bwindi.

Enjoy your breakfast as early as possible then proceed for an exciting morning game drive in the park. Expect to see the gigantic eland antelope, zebras in big numbers, topi, impalas, Buffaloes an other savannah animals. Alternatively, you may choose the morning bush/park walk (at extra cost USD 30 pp) in the presence of an armed ranger-guide. You will return to your accommodation then check out and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable NP. Bwindi is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda (harboring over 300 mountain gorillas - roughly half of the world's population), including several habituated groups, which can be trekked. With a strenuous day ahead, you will do less on arrival but just check in your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the next morning.

Accommodation: Broadbill Forest Camp(Budget Level) | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Drive time: Approx. 4-5 hours.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking Bwindi Forest and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation.

Have breakfast and move to the rangers' post. You will receive some briefing (from a ranger guide) on the dos and don'ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. Return to the accommodation, check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green- terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 - 2,478m) but it's the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day.

Accommodation: Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort(Mid-range Level) | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Drive Time: Approx. 2-3 hours.

Day 4: Depart Bunyonyi and return to Entebbe to catch flight out (18:00 onward).

You will have a relaxed breakfast with spectacular view of the Bunyonyi little islands just right in front of you. Thereafter, you will hit the road for the return to Entebbe arriving in the late afternoon/evening) for your flight out. Day 1: Kampala-Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Meal Plan; Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Pick up by your guide from Kampala after your breakfast and immediately set off to the Southwestern part of Uganda-Bwindi Forest. It will be a great journey with a lot of sightings such as the rolling terraced hills, together with a few stopovers at the equator to take photos and another in Mbarara to have lunch as you proceed to Bwindi. You will arrive in the evening and rest at the hotel with dinner.

Day 2: Mountain gorilla Tracking-Bwindi

Meal Plan; Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast that early morning, move to the headquarters of the park for briefing with your packed lunch. After, enter the forest for gorilla trekking guided by the Park rangers. Later in the evening take a walk in the Batwa community for some cultural encounters from the Batwa people like the traditional dances among others.

Day 3: Bwindi Forest-Lake Bunyonyi.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

On this morning after a tasty breakfast, say goodbye to Gorilla sanctuary as you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi also termed as a great destination for birders due to the various numbers of birds that are available, apart from that it has eye-catching sceneries including the waters, hills, forests, islands among others. Upon arrival you could opt to go for a canoe along the lake or just go for a nature walk around the area. In the evening retire at the lodge and have dinner.

Day 4: Lake Bunyonyi -Lake Mburo.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

After breakfast, carry on with the journey to Lake Mburo national Park, whereby your eyes will be caught up by the large numbers of impalas (mainly concentrated in this park), zebras, buffaloes, and warthogs, among others. Along the way your eyes will be fed again with the stunning landscapes of the kigezi highlands. You will have lunch along the way, when you arrive at the park you will have a game drive through the park as you will have a chance to see most animals. Later have dinner and Overnight.

Day 5: Return to Kampala.

Meal: Breakfast & Lunch

Enjoy breakfast; go on a boat cruise along the lake where you will see more wildlife on the lake shores like hippos, Crocodiles, buffaloes drinking water as well as many birds and you will also see other smaller lakes like Bwa and Kazuma. In the afternoon after having lunch, drive back to Kampala after an amazing time in the wild.
