This package Vietnam tour is all about sharing all of this fabulous country has to offer. We take you from the North to the South exploring all the important and exciting sites along the way! You will visit great and bustling cities, Hanoi and Saigon, get yourself immersed in tranquil and stunning countryside of Mai Chau and Ninh Binh, amazed by historic charms of Da Nang-Hoi An, and of course get on board to explore the Mekong Delta and wondrous Halong Bay.

This itinerary is an in-depth exploration of the culture, people and landscapes of northern Vietnam. The trip's grand finale is at Halong Bay. We'll stay overnight on a comfortable junk boat, with island visits, delicious food, swimming, sunbathing and kayaking. Leaving the graceful boulevards of Hanoi behind, we continue to Sapa and take a step back in time to visit remote hill tribe villages surrounded by rolling green hills and mountain streams and get the peak of Vietnam at Fansipan by cable. Then heading to Dien Bien Phu and final with the amazing limestone landscape of Trang An by boat. We A perfect end to our showcase of the cultural and scenic charms of northern Vietnam.

Itinerary: Authentic Vietnam

Day 1 Hanoi

After checking in to your hotel, feel free to catch some views of the Old Quarter and stroll around the Hoan Kiem Lake area on your own.

Day 2 Hanoi

Set off your exploration day with many tourist attractions of Hanoi capital. You will discover Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, his traditional stilt house and the One-Pillar Pagoda. Later on, you will visit Ethnology Museum. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant with fabulously authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Temple of Literature - the first university of Vietnam. After that, continue your day with a walk to the Old Quarter and around the Sword Lake.

In the evening, you will enjoy a traditional water puppet show, an art form which was invented a thousand years ago by the farmers of the Red River Delta area and then elevated to royal entertainment under the Ly and Tran dynasties.

Day 3 MAI CHAU

In the morning, you will depart from Hanoi to Mai Chau, passing along charming little roads and the landscape of mountains set at a medium altitude. Upon arrival in Mai Chau, check-in the hotel and have lunch. After lunch, go trekking Buoc village, the minority village surrounded by bamboo forest, stream and see the inhabitant life of the local people (mostly Thai ethnic people). Return your hotel in Mai Chau and free the rest of day.

Day 4 NINH BINH

After breakfast, you will be driven from Mai Chau to Hoa Lu crossing picturesque landscapes. You will arrive at noon in Nho Quan village and have lunch with the locals there. In the afternoon, take a pleasant bike ride on the dam levee to Van Long Nature Reserve, then step aboard a small rowboat for a slow journey to view a stunning sunset here. Get to the hotel later on.

Day 5 Ha Long Bay

In the morning, leave Hanoi by private vehicle for Halong Bay, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site with 1,600 limestone monolithic islands dotting the bay and Gulf of Tonkin. After arriving at noon, you will board a beautiful boat for an overnight cruise on Halong Bay with an excellent menu of fresh seafood. You will also have the chance to enjoy a night fishing session on the boat. Overnight on board in the open air of Halong Bay.

Day 6 Hue

Early in the morning and depending on the season, you will wake up to enjoy the sunrise over the aquamarine waters of the bay. Then, the cruise will tour around the bay until you disembark at the end of the morning. Arrive at the pier and meet your local guide to travel ahead to Noi Bai airport for a short flight to Hue.

Day 7 Hue

After breakfast, you will be picked up and pay a visit around Hue Citadel. The journey starts with Thanh Toan Bridge, some local markets nearby then continues to majestic Imperial Citadel of Hue. Have lunch at such a special restaurant in Hue called Inn Side Out in a traditional garden house at Perfume Riverbank.

In the afternoon, you will be driven to the countryside to visit the Tomb of Minh Mang, and Tu Hieu pagoda nearby which is nestled in a vast pine forest . After that, return to Hue and stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 8 Hoi An

Enjoy your free time in the morning. In the afternoon, you will leave for Danang city, traveling via the spectacular "Hai Van" route, which offers a superb panoramic view of the bay below. You will make several stops along the way, including one at the paradise beach of Lang Co. You will then take the road to Hoi An and arrive there at the end of the day.

Day 9 Hoi An

In the morning, you will be transferred to Tra Que village, known for its aromatic herbs. Join in with the local farmers and observe their daily work of planting and picking vegetables. At lunch, enjoy the village specialties: Tam Huu (small skewers of pork and prawns), various kinds of shrimps, pork and herbs, as well as six other dishes of the region at the herb village.

Return to your hotel in the afternoon and free the balance of the day to discover the old town.

Day 10 Hoi An

The day is free at your leisure to enjoy the beautiful beach of Hoi An. Overnight at the hotel in Hoi An.

Day 11 Saigon

Free until the good time to travel by car to Danang airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City, the capital of the South. Check in the hotel in Saigon. The following day, the adventure continues.

Day 12 MEKONG DELTA & RIVER

In the morning, you will be driven to Cai Be, board on a local boat along Mekong river with visits to family-run companies which make rice pancakes, puffed corn cookies and coconut milk candy and a local drying longan farm for a Vietnamese-style lunch.

Get on the cruise for a garden center, sample fruits, wine, traditional music and crossing Co Chien River. In the late afternoon, come back to Saigon.

Day 13 Saigon

Today you have the chance to go exploring at the tunnels of Cu Chi. Take a boat to this historical site, instead of a car, and spend the morning exploring local life outside of Saigon. A traditional Vietnamese lunch of local specialties like lemongrass chicken and caramelized clay pot pork will be served after your visit to the tunnels. Return back Saigon and free for the balance of the day

Day 14 Saigon

After checking out the hotel, you will meet your driver and travel to Tan Son Nhat airport with a guide for your outbound flight. Your room is only available until noon.

Itinerary: 10 Days the North of Vietnam - The most memorable moments that you have never had

Day 1: Say hello to the beautiful capital of Vietnam – Hanoi

Meals: Dinner

On arrival at Noi Bai Airport, you are met and transferred to hotel. Ha Noi, Vietnam’s capital, is one thousand year old city with peaceful lakes, French styled buildings, old quarter streets, tree lined boulevards, brightly painted temples and pagodas. (If time permits) we enjoy a short cyclos ride around the old quarter streets to see the different local ways of life. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 2: All day roaming in Hanoi

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Today we enjoy a full day city tour starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex. This famous site contains the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Close to this complex is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of city. We follow this with the Temple of Literature, which is well known as the first university of Vietnam and the impressive Ethnologic Museum, dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. The beautiful West Lake and the History Museum with an excellent collection of artifacts illustrating the Vietnamese history are also highlight of our trip. We visit these sights before continuing to the peaceful lake of Hoan Kiem. In front of this lake is the famous water puppet theatre where we will see a fantastic performance. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 3: First destination of the journey – Ha Long – the wonder of the world

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Transfer to Halong. Upon arrival in Halong bay we board our Junk for the overnight boat trip. After lunch we begin our fantastic cruise in Halong Bay. The scenery is truly breathtaking and is continuously changing. This includes a visit to Sung Sot Cave, round over Tuan Chau Island, Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, Sail Island and a swim at Titov beach. Enjoy dinner on board while watching the sunset.

Day 4: Returning Hanoi and taking a train to Lao Cai

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After an early breakfast we continue our cruise to visit Man‘s Head island, Tortoise Island, Bai Tu Long Bay, Toad Island and Bai Tho Mountain. Upon our return to Halong city we have lunch on board, and then board our transport back to Hanoi in the afternoon. Transferred to railway station for a trip on train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train.

Day 5: Going to Sapa – the city that has the most beautiful weather in Vietnam

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Pick up at Lao Cai station and transfer to hotel in Sapa for early check in and breakfast, the town in the mist of cloud. As soon as arriving in this small quiet town you will be impressed by the romantic appearance of old French architecture and the streets filled with various kinds of hill tribes’costumes up and down the hills. Have shower and then order for breakfast. After a short relax, we start trekking to Laochai — Tavan. You will trek through remote villages of Red Dao, Black H’mong and Giay ethnic groups, pass incredibly beautiful valleys and rice — terraces. Have picnic lunch on the hill. After trekking, have a short relax before our Jeep pick you up and back Sapa. Have dinner and enjoy Sapa at night with streets full of local brocade works and children in their colorful costumes walk in group and sing together. Overnight in Sapa Town

Day 6: Sapa - Fansipan Peak - 6 hours road trip with stunning views to Dien Bien

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After breakfast, tranfer to Fansipan cable car station. Lying on an altitude of 3,143m above sea level, the peak of Fansipan is dubbed the “Roof of Indochina”. Sun, clouds, wind and mountain seem to consist of a harmonious and colorful chorus. Gazing down the fairy scenery at sunrise as well as sunset would always be an unbeatable experience for those who love nature.

Back to Sapa Town, checkout hotel and have lunch.

After lunch, continue our trip on road to Dien Bien. Overnight in Dien Bien.

Day 7: Spending the whole day walking around Dien Bien and buying little nice souvenirs

We spend the day around Dien Bien Phu visiting the former battle fields . It was here that the French planned to lure the Viet Minh, led by Ho Chi Minh, into the valley by sending 16,000 French troops as bait. The French however did not count on the brilliant leadership of General Vo Nguyen Giap who managed to place the Vietnamese artillery on the surrounding ridges. From March until May 1954 the Viet Minh pounded the French positions until the French capitulated with the loss of 3,000 men. It’s estimated that the Viet Minh lost more than twice that number. Later you visit the head quarter of General Giap during the Dien Bien Phu campaign. We will have the chance to meet several of the different ethnic minority tribes here, when we visit the villages of both the Thai and H’mong people. Tonight will be our second night in Dien Bien Phu.

Day 8: Dien Bien Phu - flight back Hanoi

Meals: Breakfast

We have a morning at leisure and then we will transfer to the airport for flight back to Hanoi. Free at leisure

Day 9: Go to see Bai Dinh - Trang An and return to the capital in the same day

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

In the morning:

07:30 - 08:30 Tour guide will pickup you at the hotel in Ha Noi old quarter and then depart to Ninh Binh province. On the half way stop for short break about 20 minutes.

11:00 Arrive in Buddha Prayer place in Bai Dinh Pagoda, the biggest pagoda in Vietnam with 500 La Han statues, biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam with 10 meters in height, 100 tons in weight.

12h30 Have lunch buffet with Vietnamese traditional dishes, in case you are vegetarian, we have other food options for you

In the afternoon:

14:00 Depart to visit Trang An eco-tourism, take boat trip to visit cave complex: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Nau Ruou in mystery and wildness, see scenery of mountain and rivers Ha Long on land of Ninh Binh. Or you can choose to visit Kong Films, take a photo shoot at Aboriginal village one of the main scenes in Hollywood blockbuster movie ""Kong Skull Island""

16:00 Get on the bus back to Hanoi, on the half way stop for short break 20 minutes

19:00 - 19:30: Arrive at the hotel in Ha Noi.

Dinner and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 10: The last day in Vietnam and get ready for departuring
