Day 1: Welcome to Fiji!
Meals: Lunch and Dinner
After claiming your luggage and clearing customs at Nadi International Airport, a Mountain Travel Sobek representative will meet you outside the customs area of the airport and transfer you to Pacific Harbor, the adventure capital of Fiji.
Expect magnificent coastal vistas as you drive up to the resort. Before you reach your accommodation for the evening, visit and hike the unique Sigatoka Sand Dunes, where four miles of windswept mountains of sand unfold along the coast. The area has been granted protected national park status and is administered by the National Trust of Fiji. In addition to admiring the towering hills of sand that lead straight into the ocean, you can sometimes find pottery shards from the Lapita Era (1,000 years ago) that were buried by drifting sands.
After you get settled in at the hotel, spend the afternoon playing beach volleyball, relaxing by the pool, or kayaking. Stroll down the beach at sunset and start to feel at home on the Pacific Harbour Coast.
Day 2: Enjoy whitewater rafting on the Luva River
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Wake up and enjoy a leisurely breakfast overlooking your coastal resort. Get ready for a full day of whitewater rafting! Leave your resort and travel to the Luva River where you will enjoy class II and III whitewater rapids aboard inflatable kayaks and rafts. The river will take you deep into the mountains, where you can jump out of your boat and enjoy a side hike to the Wainuta Falls and a local village.
Day 3: Spot dolphins in Takalana Bay
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Today you will be traveling to the picturesque Takalana Bay. After leaving Pacific Harbour, stop in the capital city of Suva for lunch and a glimpse of Fijian city life. Enjoy the coastal drive as you journey farther northeast to the home of one of Fiji’s black sand beaches. Perched on a hill above the ocean, take in a view of Moon Reef and the bay that is home to a large pod of spinner dolphins. Though they are typically more dormant during the day, you may get lucky and get a chance to observe the behavior that gives spinner dolphins their name. Enjoy a half-day boat ride alongside the dolphin pod and jump in the water with your snorkel at Moon Reef.
In the afternoon hike to a waterfall in the mountains and take in the sunset over the beautiful bay. Get a good night’s rest before heading off for the next adventure.
Day 4: Soak up the sun on Natadola Beach
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Wake up, take a morning stroll on the beach, and watch the sunrise before breakfast. Depart Takalana and slowly make our way back to Nadi. Along the way we'll stop and soak in the sunshine as you swim, stroll down Natadola beach, or try body surfing in the waves. Eat your picnic lunch and then continue onto the beautiful South Pacific Eco-Lodge.
This evening, you'll participate in a formal sevusevu ceremony (a traditional welcoming ceremony). Dressed in your sulu (traditional Fijian sarong or skirt), sitting around the kava circle, you'll learn more about what makes Fiji specical—beyond its world-renowned beaches! Sharing in a kava ceremony while watching the sunset from a huge deck is the perfect way to end the day.
Days 5-7: Explore a tropical island paradise
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
We’ll transfer to Denarau marina at 7am for a boat ride through the breathtaking Yasawa Islands. Pass by some of the most beautiful islands in the world. Over the next three days, you will call one of these tropical islands home as we explore the white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush surrounding hills. You will be without electricity while you sleep in large safari tents with cots, only a few yards from the ocean. Step off the boat and get to know a village that is ready to welcome you with open arms.

Your nights will be spent relaxing out at the beach bonfire or gazing up at the stars. After a fun filled three days in Somosomo, take the Yasawa Flyer, your inter-island ferry back to the mainland.
