Itinerary: essential cruise - Summer Gardens & River Seine Experience

Day 1 Liverpool
At Liverpool Cruise Terminal, embark Magellan (3T) in preparation for an evening sailing.

Day 2 Dublin, Ireland
With its cobbled streets and classic pubs, Dublin is undoubtedly a city of unforgettable character. Bursting with heritage, history and legendary literature, must-sees in the city include Grafton Street and around Trinity College, Dublin Castle, the National Museum of Ireland and the Dublin City Gallery. Take a stroll around beautiful St Stephen’s Green, and then take in one of Dublin’s most famous landmarks - the high-arched Ha’penny Bridge.

Day 3 St Mary’s, Isles of Scilly
This morning we arrive on the island of St Mary’s, the largest of the five picturesque Isles of Scilly. St Mary’s has beautiful white-sand beaches and breathtaking seascapes. You can discover the island’s lively village of Hugh Town considered the ‘capital’ of the region, or embark on an exploration of the only privately-owned island here, Tresco, where you can discover the beautiful Abbey Gardens, home to 20,000 exotic species flourishing under the sub-tropical climate. Ship to shore tender service.

Day 4 St Peter Port, Guernsey
For over 800 years Castle Cornet has stood guard over St Peter Port. The attractive town is a delight with cobbled streets, steep stairways and alleyways winding between houses to a picturesque waterfront of grey and white stone buildings. Guernsey is geographically closer to France, yet loyal to the British crown, and this is reflected in the wonderful Anglo-French ambience around the town. The second largest of the Channel Islands has a wonderful coastline with beautiful bays, and pastoral scenery that includes the handsome, much-prized Guernsey dairy cows. The tax-free haven is perfect for duty-free shopping. Ship to shore tender service.

Day 5 Cruising River Seine - Rouen, France
The historic capital of Normandy, Rouen, is located on the beautiful shores of the stunning River Seine. This medieval city’s Old Town is home to a wonderful maze of cobblestone streets decorated with picturesque Gothic churches and magnificent half-timbered houses. Visit spectacular Notre Dame Cathedral, one of the ‘finest examples of French Gothic architecture’, and the beautiful Roman Catholic Church of Saint-Maclou which dates back to the 15th century. You can also travel to the picturesque village of Giverny, to discover the home of Claude Monet and see the inspiration for many of his paintings.

Day 6 Honfleur
Spared from World War II bombings, Honfleur boasts an abundance of historic buildings, charming streets, half-timbered houses and historic art galleries. Relax on the beautiful natural harbour, admiring the stone-clad mansions and picturesque former fisherman’s cottages as the pretty fleet of local fishing boats arrive back from their morning at sea. The streets are lined with quaint boutiques, fine restaurants and great souvenir shops, a perfect place to browse and indulge in some delicious local cuisine.
