Mera Peak Climbing – 13 days, truly an adventure for all types of trekkers and climbers from beginners to hardy and experts people.

Mera Peak Climbing of 13 days duration with flexible itinerary days that allows you to reach on top Mera Peak at above 6,461 m and 21,190 ft high, on one of the highest trekking peaks of Nepal Himalaya. Mera Peak Climb grade listed as F means ‘Facial Easy’ which is from French and Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification Systems, which is used world-wide on this type of alpine climb.

The grade of this kind where beginners and professional climbers can take part which is quite a high peak, but of less technical effort and much easier, walking on ice and snow all the way to the summit top. Where all climbers requires full trekking gear with ice-axe and crampons to tackle the climb, might needs ropes especially on descend for safety measures.

In Kathmandu, discover the ancient history and bustling atmosphere of the capital, before heading to the hills for the breathtaking temples and views of Patan and Pokhara. Explore the wild side of Nepal in Chitwan and soak up the unforgettable view of the Himalayas in the mountain village of Nagarkot.

Itinerary: Mera Peak Climbing-13 Days

Day 1: Kathmandu (Tribhuvan Int´l Airport) to Lukla (Tenzinghilliarry Airport) early morning 30 minutes scenic flight then Trek to Chutanga (3,020 meter/ 9980 feet) - 4/5 hours.

Starting early morning taking a swift flight to land at Lukla airport with views of Himalayan peaks facing close to Everest, from Lukla after a refreshing moment, where walk starts heading past Lukla in complete isolation, away from villages to camp for overnight at Chutanga, a nice field and grazing areas for yaks and other animals in the midst of alpine coniferous woodland.

Day 2: Trek to Thuli-Kharka (4300 meter/14,107 feet) - 5/6 hours.

Walk beings with steep climb to cross over high rocky ridges of Kalo and Naulekh Himal the crossing Zatwar-la and Zatwar-Og passes of over 4,300 m high to reach into Inkhu valley with overnight camp at Thuli-Kharka around grazing area.

Day 3: Trek to Kothe 3,600 m- 5 /6 hrs.

After a nice and long day walk to Thuli Kharka, morning walk takes you to scenic areas within summer grazing pasture of Yak and other cattle within lovely woodland to reach an open and wide meadow at Kother for overnight stop with camps within its beautiful surrounding.

Day 4: Trek to Thangnak (4,356 meters/ 14291 feet) - 5/6 hours.

Morning walk start on downhill with grand views of Peak 43 and Kusum Kanguru peaks within scenic Inkhu valley where you can view stunning South Face of Mera Peak, as walk continues into dense rhododendron and pine tree forest to reach a nice meadow and an area at Mosum Kharka. Our journey continues towards north leaving the tree lines behind, after a good trek reaching a wide open valley with at Gondaishung close to Thangnak area.

Gondaishung a place with interesting old small Gompa (a small monastery or shrine) of more than 200 years, from here walk for another hour to reach at Thangnak for overnight stop, a nice place with temporary huts and shades with a small lodge and tea house.

Day 5: Trek to Khare (5,045 meters/16551 feet) - 3/4 hours.

After overnight stop at scenic area at Thangnak adventure continues on gradual path with some few ups and downs overlooking fabulous views to reach near at Charpatti Tal (4 sided glacial lake).

This small lake dammed by stone and moraines, and then with short climb with downhill towards a large meadow at Khare for overnight camp.

Day 6: Pre-Climbing Training and become familiar with using crampons, Carabiners, figure eight, rope Ice Axe etc. And Rest Day.

Today's  Our Climbing guide give you class/training, how to use ice-axe and crampons around the camp, finding perfect place for some exercise on ice and rocks. How we will climb safety way, what's do and what's not to do. Guide bring you and share technical idea for climbing.  An important having rest day at Thangnak for acclimatization. Rest for your body acclimatization.

Day 7: Climb Mera High Camp (5,780 meters / 18,958 feet) 6/7 hours.

From the base camp we have allowed one more camp to make this climb more approachable, morning walk follows across Mera la and then reaching at Mera High Camp in complete wilderness, on reaching at high camp enjoy afternoon at leisure with lunch and preparation for the next early morning climb on top Mera Peak.

Where our expert guides will scout the route and fixing ropes where necessary to safe guard from incidental accidents.

Day 8: Mera Peak (6,461 meters/21,190 feet) summit and back to Khare (5,045 meters/16551 feet)- 8/9 hours.

Our Big Day of the adventure, starting very early before break of dawn, route leads with steep climb but without any technical difficulty a straight-forward climb one can do it with the help of ski poles, however for safety measures where all climbers needs well equipped with crampons, ice axe, helmets.

After a tough high altitude climb then finally reaching on top of the rewards you with outstanding panorama of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho- Oyu all the way to Mt. Kanchenjunga in the eastern horizon.

Enjoying marvelous moments feeling in high spirit, then descend on the same route to base camp at Khare.

Day 9: Reserve Day for Contingency.

An extra day reserved as contingency in case of unfavorable weather conditions, if all goes well this spare can be used on-route Lukla or before to make the walk more enjoyable.

Day 10: Trek down to Kothe (3600 meters/11,808 feet)- 4/5 hours.

From Khare walk leads with few ups and downs and back to reach at green vegetations and tree lines at Kothe small cattle herders shelters for overnight camp.

Day 11: Trek to Thuli - Kharka (4,300 meters/14,07feet) - 5/6 hours.

Morning walk continues leading into woodlands with steep climb and continue trek on nice grassy meadow within gradual path to reach our last camp of the trip at Thuli- Kharka.

Day 12: Trek too Lukla via Zatrwa La pass (4,610 meters/ 15,124 feet) - 6/7 hours.

Last day walk of the adventure morning leads with climb over high ridge of Naulekh or Kalo Himal including Zatrwa Og and Zatrwa-La passes, after a tough long climb then descend to Chutanga into green areas and forest, where few hours of great walk takes you back at Lukla for final overnight around Khumbu and Everest area.

Day 13: Fly from Lukla (Tenzing-Hillary Airport) to Kathmandu (Tribhuvan Int´l Airport) fly back.

Morning depart from the lodge at Lukla heading into Tenzing and Hillary airport for scenic short flight to reach into hustle and bustle city life in Kathmandu, where our remarkable adventure on Mera Peak Climbing of 13 days concludes.

Itinerary: Nepal in 12 days - Kathmandu Valley & Himalayan Village - Charm

Day 1: US - Night on board

Arrive at your US departure airport ready to check-in for an overnight flight to Kathmandu. Night on board. Important: If your outbound flight leaves at dawn (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the selected departure day.

Day 2: Kathmandu

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. The largest urban area in Nepal, with 2.5 million inhabitants, consists of the core of the metropolitan city of Kathmandu and its sister cities Patan, Kirtipur, Thimi and Bhaktapur, including the urban areas of Shankhapur, Karyabinayak, Champapur, Banepa, Dhulikhel and Panauti. The capital of the country is located at 4,593 feet above sea level in a picturesque bowl-shaped valley in central Nepal. Spend the day discovering the city at your leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 3: Kathmandu - Bhaktapur - Kathmandu

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, visit "the city of the devotees", Bhaktapur, to admire the great architectural beauty of one of the three royal cities of the Kathmandu Valley, also declared a World Heritage Site and whose Durbar Square is the best preserved in the valley. The Royal Palace stands out, the entrance door is a masterpiece in embossed art, as is the Nyatapola Temple, known as the Temple of the Five Roofs, which is a pagoda of five magnificently sculpted floors and one of the highest in the country. Later, continue to the oldest temple in the Kathmandu Valley, the Changu Narayan Temple located in the Changu village and dedicated to the god Vishnu. From here there is a beautiful view of the surroundings. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 4: Kathmandu - Patan - Kathmandu

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we recommend an optional Mount Everest flight-seeing excursion.* Head to the Kathmandu Valley through Asan Tole, the main street of the capital's oldest shopping area, which offers a vivid display of local Nepalese life. Discover the rich Nepalese culture and everyday life through the bustling and narrow streets and courtyards. Visit Durbar Square in Kathmandu, where you can see the Kumari Temple, which houses the living Goddess and the exteriors of the Taleju Temple and Kala Bhairav. In the afternoon, explore Swayambhunath Stupa, located at the top of a hill, to contemplate the beautiful landscape of the Kathmandu Valley. Later, discover the old city of Patan and visit it's Durbar Square, the oldest of the three Durbar Squares in the valley. See the Royal Palace, home to beautiful patios and ornate windows and sanctuaries dedicated to Shiva, Ganesh and Vishnu. Also visit the Temple of the living goddess Kumari, who looks out onto the balcony to receive the greetings of the devotees. Return to the hotel and overnight stay. * Optional Mount Everest Flight-seeing Excursion: One-hour long sightseeing on a fixed-wing aircraft for an experience of a lifetime. All the spectacular glaciers, snow-capped peaks, and gorges glide below you as your fly towards Mt. Everest. Includes a flight certificate awarded at the end of the excursion. Return to Kathmandu to begin the rest of the days sightseeing.

Day 5: Kathmandu - Chitwan

Breakfast at the hotel. Set off by road to Chitwan, passing by scenic landscapes during the approx. 4-hour journey. Arrive and get settled at the hotel. In the afternoon, set off on a 1-hour nature walk to explore the beautiful surrounding area, scattered with cabins inhabited by the indigenous Tharu tribe, who have lived in the forests surrounding Chitwan for hundreds of years. After a delicious dinner, enjoy a Tharu Stick Dance Show, performed by local farmers, for an insight into Chitwan’s cultural roots. Overnight stay in Chitwan.

Day 6: Chitwan

Rise early in the morning and enjoy a coffee/tea break before heading off to Chitwan National Park to seize the day and the tranquillity of the natural environment during the quiet hours of the morning. The area surrounding Machan Country Villa is a true paradise for birdwatchers, so keep your eyes peeled for some of the rarer species. Enjoy a nature walk with a naturalist expert who can point out the abundant birdlife before returning to the hotel for a well-deserved breakfast. Afterwards you will get to know the behaviours and characteristics of the majestic Asian elephant. Lunch included. Continue your adventure with a 3-hour jeep safari through the jungle until arriving at the shores of the Narayani River where a traditional boat awaits to take you on a tranquil boat cruise. Look out for local wildlife such as crocodiles and water birds before returning to the shore. In the evening, enjoy an informative presentation by a jungle expert to learn more about this unique eco-system. Return to the hotel for dinner. Overnight stay in Chitwan.

Day 7: Chitwan - Pokhara

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, set off for Pokhara, a journey of around 3.5-hours long. En route, visit Bandipur Village, a small hilltop settlement and an amazing example of Newar culture. This charming village is home to precious 18th-century architecture, a number of small cafes and shops. Continue to Pokhara, nestled in a quiet, forest-covered valley. Arrive, get settled at the hotel and spend the remainder of the day at your leisure, soaking up the fantastic views of the Himalayas and the five Annapurna peaks. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 8: Pokhara

Breakfast at the hotel. Set off for Sarangkot to see the sunrise over the Himalayas if weather conditions permit. Located at 5,223 feet, it is the most popular spot to enjoy the magnificent views of the Pokhara valley and the mountains. Afterwards, take a boat ride on Phewa Lake and see the beautiful Devi Waterfall and explore the Sacred Cave of Gupteshwor, almost 1.9 miles long. Continue to the traditional Old Bazaar of Pokhara, a pleasant traditional place, which is full of merchants of diverse ethnicities that sell fabrics, food, and gold among many other products. Return to the hotel and an overnight stay.

Day 9: Pokhara - Kathmandu

Breakfast at the hotel. Head back to Kathmandu and enjoy the scenery along the way. Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free to enjoy the city at your leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 10: Kathmandu - Nagarkot

Breakfast at the hotel. Set off for Nagarkot, a village nestled in the beautiful mountains which is famed for its amazing views of the Himalayas. Arrive at the hotel and check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight in Nagarkot.

Day 11: Nagarkot

Breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy guided walks through the hills surrounding Nagarkot. It is the best way to explore and experience the spectacular natural landscape, countryside and terraced farmland and also understand the lifestyle of local people. Overnight in Nagarkot.

Day 12: Nagarkot - Kathmandu

Breakfast at the hotel. Set off for Kathmandu. Take a guided tour of Bouddhanath and Pashupatinath. The Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath, one of the largest in the world and icon of Nepal, sits on an octagonal base and is surrounded by the houses of the Lamas. Discover Pashupatinath Hindu Temple from the east bank of the river, the most important and oldest of the Kathmandu Valley, which is dedicated to Shiva and built-in an exuberant natural environment. Free afternoon to stroll through the city or make last-minute souvenir purchases. Overnight stay.

Day 13: Kathmandu - Overnight flight

Breakfast * at the hotel. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport and check-in for your return flight back to the US Overnight flight. (Dependant on the choice of flight, you may arrive back in the US today). * Depending on the return flight schedule and the hotel breakfast service, you may not be able to enjoy the included breakfast on the last day.

Day 14: US

Arrive back in the US and end of your trip.
