"Overall an excellent trip, easy cycling with an e-bike (which is needed on the last two days of cycling unless you are very used to riding up hills). Very good standard of hotels. Martin was a brilliant guide and also arranged some lovely restaurants for the group meals. Lots of beautiful coastal scenery. This was the first trip on the refreshed itinerary and there is some fine tuning needed on timings on the day we get the short Ferry."

"Great hotel and flexible about extending my flight, as I am attending a wedding outside of Paris. They would call back and email pretty promptly. However, BEWARE their condition and communication with the vendors/attractions with the trip is poor. They told me I would forfeit my airport transfer back which I was fine with BUT they didn’t cancel it, so the hotel lobby kept calling me, as well as an angry driver on my cellphone. The reason why I use travel agencies overseas is for them to coordinate everything for me especially when I call in for a special request - as that is their job. I also never received my toot bus ticket and had to call in for that. However, I did not receive my river cruise ticket. Doubt I’ll get a refund for that. The office hours are also crap and all over the place. Most likely will never use GVV again, even if I find a steal, because you got to be on your toes with this company. It is not smooth as you would think because you have to do everything yourself for requesting what you paid for or you don’t receive/have to do the explanations yourself."

"We purchased two backpacks from Rick Steves Europe. One of them arrived damaged and unusable. Their website says that you must contact them if you receive damaged merchandise. I have attempted to email them through their website and I have left 3 voicemails (nobody answers the phone, ever!) and nobody has contacted me back. At this point, it seems like I've been ripped off. Buyer beware. Extremely disappointed."

"It was a leap of faith for us to use Zicasso, a service that connected us to Top Travel Italy, and to book a trip with a travel agent because we've always planned our own vacations in the past. It turned out great! Their model works. Zicasso recommended two agencies in Italy, our destination country, and we chose Top Travel Italy based on their responsiveness. What fun to create a customized itinerary based on their recommendations -- we told them how many days we could travel, what our budget was, and roughly what we wanted to do. Everything worked smoothly while we were in Italy -- we had good hotels and great tour guides, but I think the highlight for me was the private drivers! Driving in Cinque Terre, Rome, and the Amalfi Coast would have been stressful and it was wonderful to leave that to the professionals. "The tour had an excellent itinerary and activities, giving a broad overview of Peru - we loved it. Accommodations (with one exception) were great, and all had an included breakfast buffet. The tour's included activities (e.g. cooking class, pisco tour and tasting, potato park, boat tour of Isla Ballestas) were terrific. Appreciated the two included flights which saved a lot of driving time. Logistics were handled, and everything was smooth and easy (thanks to our CEO, Mary Chu!)."
