A day on Safari
- The day normally starts around 6am, when you get your wakeup call from a Maasai worrier and the early morning birds; dawn is normally at 6 am in the tropics. Tea, coffee or cocoa is served in the tents or at the lobby of the lodge before you embark on your game viewing drive. During the first hours of the morning, the savannah is filled with a special animation. This is when the larger predators hunt for their food, before the temperature becomes too hot for any excessive physical activity.
- This is the time we have the highest chances of watching a hunt in action (also likely in the early evening). The colors of the landscape are also more accentuated, and help us to take great photographs. Late breakfast is served and the morning is opened to different activities. Barbeque Lunch is normally served from noon at the lawns of the camp or at the balcony of your tent or the main restaurant of the lodge and “a la carte” dinner served in the main restaurant of the Camp/ Lodge. Evening falls quickly in Africa, sun sets at 6 pm and its dark in 30 minutes.
