Highlights

    • The iconic symbol of Yosemite grandeur, we’ll take you to the exact point where Ansel shot one of his most famous images in 1960, before ascending way above the treeline for our fave view from Glacier Point.
    • Discover myriad multi-coloured vistas at the lowest point in the USA; a blistered, surging landscape, like the mountains of the moon, and quite certainly one of the most unusual places you’ll ever have the pleasure to visit.
    • Massive, ancient giant sequoias live in three groves in Yosemite National Park - estimated to be around 4,600 years old and spanning upwards of 200 feet in the air.
    • Ansel Easton Adams was an American photographer and environmentalist. His black-and-white landscape photographs of the American West, especially Yosemite National Park, made him the most famous ever landscape photographer.

What's this trip about?

Yosemite, Death Valley, Joshua Tree … California’s parks are home to some of the most iconic views and landscapes on the planet. And we’ll see all of them on our 10-day Yosemite Photography Holiday adventure. From the cerulean skies over Joshua Tree – completely devoid of light pollution – capture the vivid Milky Way, light falling gently over the trees and outsized boulders that dot the landscape; then north to the rugged expanse of Death Valley, and watch the late afternoon light tint the mountains at the lowest point of the USA. Completing our 11-day road trip, explore Yosemite’s granite wonderland, watching myriad waterfalls cascade into a sheer glacial valley. Along the way, snooze in chic retreats once reserved for Hollywood movie stars, explore mid-century Modernist architecture in Palm Springs, shoot some pics on a 30’s Wild West set, and sample some of the finest wines California has to offer. There is only one ultimate road trip.
