,Cape Town One of the most beautiful cities in the world, Cape Town is a city that can really take your breath away. The horizon dominated by the iconic table-top mountain rising up in the background, whilst in the foreground are the crisp waters of the cape, the laid-back bustle of the city’s waterfront skirted by sandy beaches and picturesque suburbs. This is the oldest city in South Africa, steeped in history and full of beautiful buildings from its colonial past. The tall mountains and green hills that surround the city have an immensely calming effect helping this to be one of the most relaxing big city visits that you are likely to have. Outside of the city itself there are many attractions than can be visited in a day trip, from the Cape of Good Hope to the rolling hills of the wine lands. We have a team of enthusiastic and knowledgeable local guides who’ll share the best of their city with you. The Winelands Just a short drive from Cape Town one enters the verdant, rolling hills of South Africa’s wine country. Home to fantastic wine and some of Africa's best restaurants. This is one of the most historic areas of South Africa as it’s where many of the original Dutch settlers first made their homes. Pretty towns and villages adorn the countryside, their white washed Dutch colonial buildings contrasting against the lush greens of vineyards, fields and forests. There are a huge variety of different vineyards to visit here, ranging from small boutique wineries where you may be shown round by the owners themselves to larger, more modern estates. Aside from grapes, all manner of fresh produce is made here, much of which you will find adorning the plates of the excellent restaurants in the area. In fact, this is something of a culinary hotspot, and you'll have our recommendations for the best spots. Madikwe The Madikwe Game Reserve’s more unique location bordering the Kalahari Desert and Botswana in South Africa’s north west corner, is one of the country’s lesser known and more remote of the Big Five safari experiences. Moreover, its proximity to Johannesburg and being malaria-free, the Madikwe is a great for families. This is South Africa's fifth largest game reserve at 75,000 hectares yet it's relatively unknown despite its variety of wildlife consisting of the second largest population of elephants, 300 types of bird and over sixty different mammal species including the 'Magnificent Seven' (elephant, rhino, buffalo, cheetah, leopard, lion and cape hunting dog). The reserve also possesses some of the most stunning sandveld terrain in the country, and it's exactly this range of varying habitats that supports the impressive variety of creatures found here. Bazaruto Archipelago Set just off of the Southern shores of Mozambique in the warm Indian ocean, the Barazuto Archipelago is protected national park with just a handful of luxury lodges. Crystal clear waters lap at white sand beaches, with just a few other guests and the local fisherman adding to the backdrop. It's a wonderful place to relax and unwind, far away from the stresses of civilisation. One of the highlights here is the diving and snorkelling, with the world famous 'three mile reef' site close by. Limpopo Province “The Great North” or South Africa’s northernmost province of Limpopo justifies its nickname with some of the most magnificently scenic and contrasting terrain you’ll see throughout the country. An outwardly ancient-looking landscape whittled by time, winds and water has formed a sensational topography of kopjes (granite rock hills) rising abruptly from its valleys, riverines, canyons, tumbling waterfalls, striking ridges and rolling hills. Within easy reach of Johannesburg, lying to the west of the Drakensburg Mountains Escarpment which runs all the way from the Eastern Cape to Mpumalanga, Limpopo also borders Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique to the north and is therefore also seen as the gateway to the rest of Africa. What's more, fertile lands have made this province the agricultural centre of the country, earning it a second moniker as 'South Africa’s Food Basket'. Limpopo’s landscapes have beguiled many a traveller with its network of national parks and reserves (almost 3.6 million hectares of protected land), including the Waterburg and Marakele, offering up boundless activities, adventure thrills and some of the best horse riding safaris in the country.
