Lumbini 9 Days Tour from Kathmandu

Day 01. On your arrival in the Kathmandu airport (TIA), you will be greeted by a representative of the tour. After completing your custom formalities (Visa, etc), you will pick up your luggage and look for the representative at the arrival guide. Afterward, you will be transported to your hotel. You will get time to rest or to get familiar with the surroundings. In the evening you will be welcomed in an excellent traditional Nepalese Restaurant with a Nepalese cultural program, as well as fine meal. Day 02. You will spend your second day by sightseeing of Kathmandu valley. You will visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest in the world and simultaneously the UNESCO heritage. The Buddhist stupa dominates the skyline of Kathmandu and is important Buddhist pilgrimage site. You will be amazed by the unique octagonal Mandala design with hundreds of prayer wheels and the 108 images of the Buddha set into the niches around the huge structure. Later, you will be introduced to the Kapan monastery at Kapan Hill, which is also known as Nepal Buddhist Mahayan Centre. Day 03. After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transported by a bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The ride takes 6 hours, however, you will be amazed by a wonderful scenery of the colorful rural settings. You will also have an option of using private transport or flying to Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara, you will check into your hotel, refresh and go sightseeing the Phewa Lake and the Barahi temple. You will also visit the David´s fall, the Gupteshwor caves and an interesting Tibetan refugee camp. Then you will get ready for another day of your Nepalese adventure. Day 04. You will spend a full day of sightseeing Pokhara, the mirror to the Himalayas. The sightseeing includes a drive to Sarangkot, where you will get stunned by an ecstatic sunrise, which together with the landscape is a literal feast for the eyes. You will also get the opportunity to discover the Seti Gandaki gorge, the old Bindhyabasini Temple, Devi´s fall, Cave and relax while boating at a lake. Day 05. After having the breakfast, there is a 5 hours trip in front of you. You will get time to rest, but you will also visit various ancient spots of Tansen, the capital of Palpa. You will explore some of the old palaces of the ancient Newar kings that ruled this once-upon-a-time ancient Kingdom as well. Then you will get time to get ready for a ride to your main destination. Day 06. Early in the morning, you will hike to Shrinagar Hill to enjoy a wonderful sunrise view. You will be breathless while watching the bright rays of the sun falling on the surrounding landscapes. Then, you will have breakfast in the hotel and in the early afternoon, you will be already transported to Lumbini, where you will check in into your hotel and if the time permits, visit Lumbini. Day 07. Lumbini is one of the world´s major religious, architectural, and historical sites. It is a huge area, full of historical monuments, mystic temples, and ancient sites making it a UNESCO World Heritage Site. First, you will step in the Mayadevi temple, which is built on the exact place, where Buddha was born. Afterward, you will spend time wandering around the beautiful gardens. You will also visit the museum and peace pagoda and marvel at other Buddhist sights, which surrounds whole Lumbini. Day 08. After breakfast, you will spend 9 – 10 hours on the way back to Kathmandu. It is a long scenic drive. Afterward, you will overnight at your hotel. Day 09. Your last day, you will be transferred to the international airport of Kathmandu for your final flight departure.
