Itinerary
Fly to Quito, capital of Ecuador from your hometown. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.
After breakfast, we will visit Guapulo Church and travel onward to the historic center of Quito. There we'll tour La Plaza Grande, El Palacio Presidencial, La Catedral Metropolitana, El Sagrario, La Companía, the San Francisco and Santo Domingo ...
Journey to the Amazon Jungle and arrive on the shore of Ecuador’s majestic Napo River at the eastern slopes of the Andes Mountains. Check in at La Casa del Suizo (or a similar hotel), a tranquil Amazonia lodge perched comfortably above the riverbank and overlooking vast expanses of the surrounding tropical rainforest.
All excursions at La Casa del Suizo will be led by a native guide with expert knowledge of the rainforest. There are a variety of activities to choose from: hikes through the primary rainforest; easy walks along river islands; canoe rides along the Napo River, visits with local Quichua Indian families and more.
The morning will be at leisure. Later we will transfer to Quito for an overnight stay.
Please book a morning flight around 8:00 a.m. to arrive at Galapagos’ Baltra Island. You will be transferred to Puerto Ayora to check in to your hotel. Once hotel check-in is complete, we will take a 30 minute walk (two km) on a marked and cobbled path. The path is great for seeing Galapagos wildlife and scenery.
