Itinerary
Today you'll begin your grand tour of South America by arriving in Lima, Peru. You'll then transfer to the hotel and meet with your guide.
In the morning we'll begin with a tour of Lima, visiting the Monastery of San Francisco, the Government Palace, the Cathedral of Lima and the Plaza de Armas. Next, we'll take an afternoon flight to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire...
Today we'll set out for the magnificent Machu Picchu, traveling by train through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Upon arrival we'll tour the intact fortress, the temples, and the mile long aqueduct. In the late afternoon we'll return to Cusco for the night.
After breakfast we'll begin our day with a morning tour of Cusco, visiting the Santo Domingo Monastery atop Qurikancha (Inca Temple of the Sun), the Inca baths of Tambomachay, the Kenko Amphitheater, and the Cathedral of Santo Domingo. Once we're done you'll be free to explore or relax at your leisure.
Today we'll travel back to Lima for our flight to Rio, one of the most beautiful cities in the world where the city and the water merge into a spectacular tableau. Upon arrival, we'll check into our hotel and you'll have the rest of the day to your leisure.

Today we'll fly from Rio de Janeiro to Foz do Iguazu on the Brazil border to Argentina and transfer to our hotel.
From Foz do Iguazu we'll have the chance to visit the Brazilian side of the Iguassu Falls, and witness the spectacle torrential downpour of cataracts as high as 250 feet. Afterwards we'll visit the Itaipu Dam, an amazing modern marvel.
In the morning we'll cross the board into Argentina and tour the falls from a whole new perspective, seeing where the falling water creates thousands of rainbows hanging in mid air. In the late afternoon, we'll fly to Buenos Aires, the stunning capital city of Argentina.
In the morning we'll travel along the Panamerican Highway into teh pampas to enjoy a fantastic Gaucho Fiesta at an estancia. Here, we'll enjoy a traditional barbecue lunch, watch a folk show, and witness the talented gauchos compete in various contests. Afterwards we'll return to Buenos Aires and enjoy the city at our own pace.
