Alaska Coast Itineraries

A fabulous cruise! The weather was stupendous (even the misty days which have their own style of beauty), the scenery incomparable and as ever, the service impeccable. We were sailing under the trusty and affable Captain Bryan, who makes every voyage a pleasure. Sailing down the Wrangell Narrows was exciting and we saw sea life and whales!
Food was delicious and presented beautifully. We looked forward to every meal with pleasure. All in all, it was a marvelous experience. All staff was ready to fulfill our every need and each encounter was met with a smile and friendly greeting. We felt very welcome. I would have been happy to live on the American Constellation forever! The ship was “ship-shape” everywhere and staff were visible each day cleaning, polishing and making us comfortable. The best ever!

We absolutely loved out 10 night cruise on the American Constellation, round trip out of Juneau, AK this summer. There were so many highlights - scenery, wildlife, shipboard activities, excursions, it's hard to pick a favorite. I think if I had to choose, my absolute favorite part was when the captain would announce that there were whales nearby, and then he'd stop and circle the boat around so we could see. The guest lecturer we had was a marine biologist, and she would get on the PA and tell us what we needed to know about what we were seeing. It was an experience you would never get on a big ship cruise. The captain would also get us as close as was safe to glaciers, totem pole parks, and sea lions on shore. Traveling on a small ship certainly has it's advantages in the inside passage!

The excursions were all good and accessible enough for most every guest. We especially enjoyed the jet boat ride up the Stikine River out of Wrangell. Our driver was so knowledgeable, he knew the river like the back of his hand, and took us off the beaten track, so to say, to see some amazing scenery and plenty of bald eagles. We also enjoyed stopping in small towns - what a difference from the usual stops big cruises make. The Alaskan people were very welcoming, we didn't overwhelm the small towns with hordes visitors, and we enjoyed just visiting their towns, and getting a glimpse of life in a small Alaskan town.

Onboard, we loved the talks from the guest speaker. She was particularly good, because she was not only knowledgeable, she was so enthusiastic about what we were seeing and her enthusiasm was contagious. She was just as excited to see whales on day 10 as she was on day 1, and I do think we saw them most every day. There were lots activities to enjoy - bingo, art classes, trivia games, of course, cocktail hour is always a hit, and evening entertainment. Housekeeping was stealth and good, twice a day, and we never saw them work their magic because we just didn't spend a lot of time in our room. Food was plentiful and delicious, three meals a day, two cookie snack times, and generous appetizers at cocktail hour. Our room was spacious, and the best part was the really large balcony. It was warm enough we sat out on the balcony taking in the beauty and playing cards several times on our trip. Occasionally a whale or eagle sighting would interrupt our game :)

My 11-day cruise on the Constellation, American CruiseLine, was fabulous!
Such a great experience. The small ship is the best way to really experience Alaska. I sound like a commercial! I can't say enough about how the captain was able to get us up close and personal with Whales, Eagles, Sea Lions and Bears. He literally went around in circles to give everyone a close-up view. The ship is beautiful.. classy, no bling just comfortable from the wicker oudoor seating to living room couches for entertainment and lectures. Our speaker, David, was fabulous! Food was also wonderful. I can't say enough. The trip of a lifetime.

This was an amazing and well planned out adventure trip. I have limited hiking and winter experience however Kevin does, and helped me prepare for the trip as well as enjoy this 5 day trip in Iceland. The meals were also excellent and his choice of activities was enough to keep us busy but allow for some hot tub time at night. Kevin was structured but flexible on this trip as well and this kept our small group entertained and on time.

Our IAG Iceland tour was such an amazing experience! Kevin Rosenberg, IAG’s founder, is a skilled guide and excellent host. His attention to every detail of our adventure created the opportunity to fully explore Icelandic culture and learn so much about the history of the island and it’s people. Kevin planned many interesting and diverse activities during our stay, including some of the best dining experiences Iceland has to offer. I highly recommend IAG and look forward to my next trip.

Kevin was a wonderful guide for our adventure in Iceland. I felt that he took us to all the best places to see, eat and stay. I would definitely go on more adventures with him.
