Daily Hiking and Walking Itinerary
This is a generalized itinerary based off what most tours offer. The daily itinerary includes how each tour spends its time. The next aspect is where the most popular hiking and walking tours are offered. It also notes how each location differentiates its itineraries from others. Morning
Mornings comprise of getting ready, eating breakfast, and getting familiarized with the daily activity ahead. Your tour guide will most likely go over attire, weather, mileage, equipment and estimated completion time. This is also when you can ask additional questions about the activity before heading out.
Afternoon
Most hikes and walks begin between the late morning or early afternoon. Depending on the travel destination, the hike or walk either highlights the location’s natural scenery or cultural significance. It should be noted, however, that most tours try their best to include both.
Evening
The evenings are usually set aside for leisure time. Some tours provide dinner. If local cafes or restaurants are accessible, then you can also eat there. If you are camping, however, then dinner will most likely be made at the camp. The rest of the time can be spent exploring, reflecting, and resting.

Diego our Tour Manager was brilliant. Very helpful and caring. Even arranged a few extras not on the itinerary, such as a visit to a rose farm. and an early morning bird watch in the cloud forest. He was very knowledgeable on the birds and animals too
The itinerary was very full. Its says a moderately paced trip but I think it was full on. Up every morning early and on the road to the next interesting thing. Full days and evenings. Hardly any time for sleep
Highlights were the animals and birds and snorkeling with sharks, turtles, wrays, penguins and sea lions on the Galapagos. The Cloud forest was full of wonderful birds and we could get quite close too. Great for photos
Food was excellent everywhere and the people very friendly
Only downside was that not all the hotels were great. Very basic with things like the water not running properly and the bathroom was very slippy in a couple with no non slip mats to be put down. Some of the hand rails were not very secure.
The first week of our stay was the Amazon extension which I would also recommend. The guides were very good and the Napo Centre itself was good too. Nice room and a large room with bar and restaurant, also areas for playing videos and other lecture type things. Food also very good
Great trip would definitely recommend it and Ecuador is a lovely country
