What's this trip about?

Running from Santiago de Compostela to the Cape of Finisterre or ‘the end of the world’ as it was known in medieval times. It is a land of ancestral legends, a hidden gem waiting to be seen by those looking to understand the essence of ‘green’ Galicia. This 8 day walking experience takes in just under 90km through the infamous eucalyptus trails of Galicia and allows for a relaxed pace with average daily distances of around 18km. This route leaves the historical city of Santiago and meanders west through the medieval town of Negreira, the rural village of Olveiroa, on to the stunningly beautiful coastal towns of Corcubión and Finisterre to end at the Cape of Finisterre; which is regarded as one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. This wonderful walking trail is easily accessible for all levels of walking experience and for those who favour a slow and steady pace. The flat gradients, woodland, eucalyptus trails and coastal paths allow you to become completely absorbed in the route between Santiago and Finisterre. It encapsulates the untouched cultural heritage and wild, untamed nature of northwest Spain. Further benefits of this week of walking include: luggage transfers between hand-chosen hotels as well as full and complete walking route notes are also included as is 24hr telephone assistance taking the stress out of attempting this trip independently.
