To do the epic trek to Everest Base Camp, you need to fly from Kathmandu to Lukla. The 30-minutes’ flight gives you the best aerial view of the Everest region. The lush valleys, dense forests and snow capped peaks come into your sight. From Lukla, Tenzing Hillary Airport, you formally begin this trek through the Sherpa villages nearby Sagarmatha National Park.
Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche and Gorakshep are the stopovers. All these places have hotels and lodges that serve with basic facilities of food and accommodation.
Gorakshep is the last settlement area before Everest Base Camp trek, and it used to be the original base camp till 1953 Everest Expedition. You spend a night at this village because it is the transition between EBC and Kalapatthar. This is the highest place on Earth that one can go without any permit and cost.
After getting the lifelong experience of reaching the base camp of Mount Everest, you trek down to Periche. After the next two days (Namche Bazaar and Lukla), you fly back to Kathmandu enjoying the aerial view of the soaring peaks.
Everest trek itinerary ranges from 5 days to 21 days and lover even. The itinerary of any tour or trek package depends upon different aspects like time, cost and destination. If you have a short holiday, 5 days will be enough to observe the natural and cultural wonders of Everest region.
You know trekking to Himalayas is entertaining and unforgettable if you do it leisurely. Planning Everest Base Camp trek for a short time may be a little uncomfortable. As you have to traverse above 2,500 m, altitude sickness may affect you sometimes.
Everest Base Camp trek itinerary can be extended and cut short as other trip packages. Everest Gokyo Lake trek rewards you with an opportunity to see the six glacial lakes interconnected with one another. Likewise, if you want to experience the most challenging trekking in Nepal, Everest Three High Passes trek is the ultimate package.
You can also do EBC via Jiri, Dolakha. Jiri Everest Base Camp trek is almost one week longer than the traditional Everest base camp trip. This trek is an opportunity to follow the footprints of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. The duo Hillary and Norgay used this route to do the 1953 Everest expedition.
Don’t worry about the right itinerary! Because Nepal Trekking Routes always there for you to find the best package at the most reasonable cost. Reach out to us @ Nepal Trekking Routes.
